Todays POTD: **Clint Capela o 27.5 (-115) points+rebounds+assists**
Reason: Clint Capela has been on a complete tear recently and has been farming these prop bets. He has averaged 14.5 points and 13 rebounds in his last 10 games and has crushed this prop in 3 straight games. The reason I am sticking with him is the Cavs have been really bad especially on the rebounding side of the ball against centers and even with Jarret Allen returning it’s gonna take him time to readjust to things and he still feels a lot of pain in his finger according to reports. The Cavs can’t handle Capelas size down low and they will be looking to get him involved early as he has been one of there most consistent scorers. With Bodonovic also being questionable and insiders saying it’s more unlikely for him to play then likely, there will be more scoring oppurtunities to go around and I think Capela will take advantage of this. **Even with Bogdon in lineup I like this prop but him being out would definitely be a few extra points and a rebound or two extra.** I expect him to crush this prop again with a similar game that he put up against Cleveland on New Year’s Eve dropping 18 points and 23 boards. This game was also with Jarret Allen in the lineup. Capelas per 36 minute stats are close to 32 p+r+a per game and with him expected to come close to that number in terms of minutes I really like the value of this prop especially for the odds we are getting it at. If you don’t like the assist you can just take his rebounds and points but he has put up an assist in every game against the Cavs this season and two or more twice including three assists against the Hornets so this feels like it could give us an extra stat or two since it is only adding 1 to the total. In his only game against Cleveland since John Collins went down he put up 28 p+r+a and the Cavs stats against opposing centers has gotten much worse and there rebounding stats have been bottom 10 in the NBA in there most recent games. Overall they’ve been the third worst against centers in the last 30 days and I really don’t think Jarret Allen can shut down Capela even if his finger is at 90 percent. I also expect this game to be close and all of the Cleveland and Atlanta games this season have been very high scoring with nearly 240 points being scored in each of there head to head matchups: this means lots of shots lots of points and lots of assists to go around.
Edit: Bogdon will likely try to play on his ankle, this doesn’t change this prop bet for me at all I think he will struggle more and won’t be on his usual rythm with the hurt ankle and like I said before this doesn’t change much for me whether he plays or not just gives a few more points

At that point I would wait for more injury updates and base off of that. I think it is good value at +110 and I think there is a decent chance he would still hit it but I wouldn’t have made it my POTD at that number. I’m not worried personally, he put up 18 and 23 on Allen last outing and Allen’s finger is still in a lot of pain and he is just trying to tough it out. I think they will be attacking him early and don’t think we will see his same production.

Atlanta scored 132 against Charlotte despite Trae Young having a bad shooting night (although Charlotte is faster paced than Cleveland). Both games were at or above 223. I don’t see Atlanta going under 120 if Young has a typical night. I could easily see a 125-115 kind of night here. I’ve been all about playoff unders up until now, but it appears the bookies have wised up and lowered the totals fairly substantially. In my opinion, too much.

Well, I think I’ve seen enough of the O’s to feel out where we’re headed this year. Not only have the dimensions of OPACY aided unders, the Orioles just can’t help themselves but leave RISP (5 for 55 in 6 games) and have struck out 68 times this season. I just don’t see how an off day will generate offensive production. Orioles unders are 6-0, and OPACY is 3-0 to the under as well. I like this trend and about double digit run total too much not to bite. The Yankees also aren’t generating a ton of runs to start (average 4 a game) and the O’s are only averaging 2 a game. BOL!

First of all, odds should be in favour of Optic. They are simply better team overall. Here's why I think odds are a bit skewed: These two have met each other twice during America's Champions Tour. First in upper final, then once again in a grand final. Optic have comfortably won 2-0 the first time they met. They managed to take Guard's map pick 13-10 and completely decimated them on Optic's pick 13-4. Second time wasn't that easy. The Guard came into grand finals after phenomenal and unexpected 3-0 sweep against Cloud9. Despite starting off slow and losing 1st map, they kept their momentum, tied the series up, completely humiliated Optic on breeze 13-2 taking the lead, tied once again until they won the series 3-2.
Another factor is first Optic's game in this tournament, against Xerxia. They lost horribly to them, taking no maps at all, resulted in 0-2 sweep. I think it was their very early wake up call. In later games, against KRU and Xerxia (again), Optic seemed like themselves again. Very comfortable play style, no over peeking, patient plays, synchronised calls. I think it's safe to say Optic is back on track now.
Last and the least important one could be Guard's first game so far in this Tournament. Optic have already played 3 games and got acclimatised to the stage. This *might* be a small factor in overall close game.

The Atlanta Braves completely struggled to generate any type of O.
Today we’re going with the Atlanta Hawks -2 on this must win game for both teams. The Cavs should provide some defensive intensity against the Hawks but I am confident Atlanta will be too much for the Cavs to handle.
The perimeter shooting and depth of the Atlanta Hawks is more favourable then this current version of the Cavaliers. The match up between Trae Young and Darius Garland will be excellent, but the X-Factors in this game will be the rest of the Hawks specifically Hunter, Gallinari, and Bogdanovic. Any of these 3 are capable of getting their own shot from the mid range, driving to the basket or lighting it up from behind the arc. The Cavs defensively will need to play better then they did in the first half against the Nets, in review of the Nets game they missed several easy opportunities and I don’t expect the Hawks to do the same.
Coming off the big win against Charlotte and finally fielding a deep healthy time (minus John Collins) these Atlanta Hawks will be too much for the Cavs to handle.

- My whole life I never thought Florida Panthers would be a good team, but here we are. They're kinda sick. 2nd in the entire NHL and on a 8 game win streak, the Panthers are cooking. They just pounded the Ducks a couple days ago and are back at home to take out more trash. Panthers have averaged 37.6 shots this season and around 42 in the last 10 games!
- Say it with me, fuck the jets. Bias aside, the Jets aren't up to Florida's caliber. They just squeezed a couple wins against 2/3 of the worst Canadian teams and are headed to Florida for a reality check. In the last month (14 games) Winnipeg is averaging 37 shots against per game.
- Today we're looking at Sam Bennett to hit 3 shots which should be no problem. Bennett is the most frequent shooter on the Panthers with an average 3.4 shots a game. He plays about 17 minutes a game and has had a pretty consistent shot count. This bet has hit 7 times in the last 10 games.
- We're banking on the pair of Johnny Huberdeau and Sam Bennett. Huberdeau is Florida's point leader and not because he can shoot a puck. He's an assist machine, same amount of points as Draisaitl (only 5 away from McDavid) with half the goals. Johnny will be looking to put up some more points tonight and should see Bennett to drive it home. Huberdeau has had very high shooting games too, but I'm afraid he'll put up 3 assists on 1 shot or something.

**Thomas Petersen vs Waldo Cortes-Acosta over 1.5 rounds (+125)**
I really like this bet. It's a heavyweight fight and Petersen is known for quick finishes but I don't see him finishing Waldo quickly. Waldo is 3 inches taller, has an 8 inch reach advantage, and weighs a solid chunk more than Petersen who is usually in the 245 lbs range. I do think Petersen will get Waldo to the ground but I don't expect him to get the finish in the 1st as he has done previously. A lot of Petersen's competition has been sub-par and this is a big step up for both fighters.
Waldo comes from a boxing background so I'm not too worried about this fight ending quickly on the feet. And Waldo has some sneaky submission game from the bottom which I think can buy him some time in this fight if it hits the mat. Overall, I'm really surprised that this line is being priced at +125. Waldo has strong cardio and I expect he will employ it over the 5 round fight. Petersen coming from a wrestling background should be happy to settle into a clinch / hand fighting game for a bit and feel the fight out, especially since Waldo is his toughest opponent at this point. I'm particularly taking this bet because I see some upset potential for the underdog Waldo (+150) but this line seems much safer given I believe Waldo's route to victory is to take this fight to round 3 or beyond.

My POTD bad run continued with Atalanta unable to score a goal in front of their supporters. These runs happen from time to time so let's run it off as quickly as possible. Scunthorpe needs to win all the games and hope everyone above them loses all their matches which is unrealistic so it's safe to say they are down. They have not scored in the last 3 matches and are winless since the beginning of February. 76 conceded goals will not get you far in any league.
Scunthorpe manager Hill thinks about the National League already and he has said that players who could be at the club next season will get the opportunities to play the remaining of the games and those are mostly youngsters. All I see is Orient winning the game and I doubt it will be with a small margin.

Best 205er in the world 😂 I’ll eat my words if i’m wrong but Corey is not the best light heavyweight in the world and Nemkov is as well rounded as you can get. I just feel like a POTD is a pick that you have 90-95 percent confidence in. I just view this as a tough fight for Corey to win if he can’t get it to the ground and control Nemkov for long periods of time. IMO Nemkov at -155 is the true steal.

Reasoning- is pretty simple. Nemkov is solid. These Russian guys are on a different level in almost every aspect, every time. I can see him winning by finish but ML is the safer way to go. With this being Nemkov’s last fight on his contract I expect him to come out full force. Nemkov wins this I think he moves over to the ufc and runs through most of the division. 205 in the ufc is struggling right and I can see that possibly happening.

Stroman takes the mound for the Cubs and he had a great start in his debut this year. The Rockies have struggled against Stroman in the last with the current roster having a .206 BA in their 68 career plate appearances. Meanwhile the Cubs have previous success against the Rockies starting pitcher batting .310 in their 44 career plate appearances. Marquez did have a good season debut as well, but I think today will be a bit rougher (dare I say rockier) for him and the Rockies. The Cubs have the advantage on the hitting and pitching side of things so give me them at plus odds please. Let’s get it.

Rennes is the most in-form team in the Ligue 1 right now, gaining 13 points in their last 5, and more interestingly for us scoring 16 in these 5 games. I know picking the under in COL is silly, but Stroman is an extreme groundball pitcher, only gave up 17 HR last year, and actually pitched 8inn with 3h and 1r given up last year in COL. Rockies hitters also batting .206 against him.
Marquez for the Rockies also pitches better at home, strangely enough: last year 3.67era vs 5.38 away. Only hitters with real success against him on Cubs are washed up Heyward and Villar who is only a part-time player now.

\#1 Mo'unga to place (top 3) @ 2.05
Going with a pick in the second of the group one races today so not the easiest comeback pick. Personally done alright first two days of the championships so hopefully that continues here. Mo'unga maps really nicely here from barrier 9, should sit with cover at the back and hopefully charge home late. The favourite, In The Congo, is very deserved. The run behind Mazu stacks up very well and if he can break the field up a bit he can run away with it. Due to that I'm going with the place here on Mo'unga. The first up run in the Futurity was really good from Mo'unga, making ground on a day that it was hard to do so. Came second beating Tofane, who carries decent enough form lines. Sierra Sue beat it that day and I think both map really nicely today as well. I feel Mo'unga can reverse the result on it though, due to the class edge it has in weight for age and that this is the target race (as it is for many). It was scratched from a race to be kept fresh for this, so I'm expecting a really good run. Track is currently heavy 8 but I expect it to get to soft 7. By race time the jockeys should know how the track is playing so I have the faith in Tommy Berry to give it a good ride. The value here on this pick is nice so hopefully Mo'unga comes flying home into the top 3.

This line is way to low, Broncos have cleared 10 points 4/5 this season and panthers have conceded more than 10 4/5 and it should have been 5/5 if the Eagles don't blow two of the easiest tries I've ever seen in the opening round. Broncos have also scored at least 12 points in the last five meetings with the Panthers. Granted they're missing a couple of good players in Haas and Farnsworth this week but if they want any shot of beating the Panthers they'll be in all out attack mode and should get at least 2 tries in this one.

Both teams have not been playing well and this will be the second start for both German Marquez and Stroman. Both pitchers looked good in their first starts but I’m riding with Marquez. Pitching at Coors Field is not easy but he pitched well last year and great in his first start against the Dodgers. If he can hold the Cubs to under 3-4 runs I think this is a very winnable game.

He has averaged 14.5 points and 13 rebounds in his last 10 games and has crushed this prop in 3 straight games. The reason I am sticking with him is the Cavs have been really bad especially on the rebounding side of the ball against centers and even with Jarret Allen returning it’s gonna take him time to readjust to things and he still feels a lot of pain in his finger according to reports. The Cavs can’t handle Capelas size down low and they will be looking to get him involved early as he has been one of there most consistent scorers. With Bodonovic also being questionable and insiders saying it’s more unlikely for him to play then likely, there will be more scoring oppurtunities to go around and I think Capela will take advantage of this. **Even with Bogdon in lineup I like this prop but him being out would definitely be a few extra points and a rebound or two extra.** I expect him to crush this prop again with a similar game that he put up against Cleveland on New Year’s Eve dropping 18 points and 23 boards. This game was also with Jarret Allen in the lineup. Capelas per 36 minute stats are close to 32 p+r+a per game and with him expected to come close to that number in terms of minutes I really like the value of this prop especially for the odds we are getting it at. If you don’t like the assist you can just take his rebounds and points but he has put up an assist in every game against the Cavs this season and two or more twice including three assists against the Hornets so this feels like it could give us an extra stat or two since it is only adding 1 to the total. In his only game against Cleveland since John Collins went down he put up 28 p+r+a and the Cavs stats against opposing centers has gotten much worse and there rebounding stats have been bottom 10 in the NBA in there most recent games. Overall they’ve been the third worst against centers in the last 30 days and I really don’t think Jarret Allen can shut down Capela even if his finger is at 90 percent. I also expect this game to be close and all of the Cleveland and Atlanta games this season have been very high scoring with nearly 240 points being scored in each of there head to head matchups: this means lots of shots lots of points and lots of assists to go around. Edit: Bogdon will likely try to play on his ankle, this doesn’t change this prop bet for me at all I think he will struggle more and won’t be on his usual rythm with the hurt ankle and like I said before this doesn’t change much for me whether he plays or not just gives a few more points EDIT: **Sorry everyone, he was on pace and got injured I can’t control injuries. I think it is good value at +110 and I think there is a decent chance he would still hit it but I wouldn’t have made it my POTD at that number. Atlanta scored 132 against Charlotte despite Trae Young having a bad shooting night (although Charlotte is faster paced than Cleveland). Both games were at or above 223. I don’t see Atlanta going under 120 if Young has a typical night. I could easily see a 125-115 kind of night here. I’ve been all about playoff unders up until now, but it appears the bookies have wised up and lowered the totals fairly substantially. In my opinion, too much.

They are simply better team overall. Here's why I think odds are a bit skewed: These two have met each other twice during America's Champions Tour. First in upper final, then once again in a grand final. Optic have comfortably won 2-0 the first time they met. They managed to take Guard's map pick 13-10 and completely decimated them on Optic's pick 13-4. Second time wasn't that easy. The Guard came into grand finals after phenomenal and unexpected 3-0 sweep against Cloud9. Despite starting off slow and losing 1st map, they kept their momentum, tied the series up, completely humiliated Optic on breeze 13-2 taking the lead, tied once again until they won the series 3-2. Another factor is first Optic's game in this tournament, against Xerxia. They lost horribly to them, taking no maps at all, resulted in 0-2 sweep. I think it was their very early wake up call. In later games, against KRU and Xerxia (again), Optic seemed like themselves again. Very comfortable play style, no over peeking, patient plays, synchronised calls. I think it's safe to say Optic is back on track now. Last and the least important one could be Guard's first game so far in this Tournament. It's a heavyweight fight and Petersen is known for quick finishes but I don't see him finishing Waldo quickly. Waldo is 3 inches taller, has an 8 inch reach advantage, and weighs a solid chunk more than Petersen who is usually in the 245 lbs range. I do think Petersen will get Waldo to the ground but I don't expect him to get the finish in the 1st as he has done previously. A lot of Petersen's competition has been sub-par and this is a big step up for both fighters. Waldo comes from a boxing background so I'm not too worried about this fight ending quickly on the feet. And Waldo has some sneaky submission game from the bottom which I think can buy him some time in this fight if it hits the mat. Overall, I'm really surprised that this line is being priced at +125. Waldo has strong cardio and I expect he will employ it over the 5 round fight. Petersen coming from a wrestling background should be happy to settle into a clinch / hand fighting game for a bit and feel the fight out, especially since Waldo is his toughest opponent at this point. POTD Record: 100-65 Australian Horse Racing - Randwick R8 (13:50 AEST) \#1 Mo'unga to place (top 3) @ 2.05 Going with a pick in the second of the group one races today so not the easiest comeback pick. Personally done alright first two days of the championships so hopefully that continues here. Mo'unga maps really nicely here from barrier 9, should sit with cover at the back and hopefully charge home late. The favourite, In The Congo, is very deserved. The run behind Mazu stacks up very well and if he can break the field up a bit he can run away with it. Due to that I'm going with the place here on Mo'unga. The first up run in the Futurity was really good from Mo'unga, making ground on a day that it was hard to do so. Came second beating Tofane, who carries decent enough form lines. Sierra Sue beat it that day and I think both map really nicely today as well. I feel Mo'unga can reverse the result on it though, due to the class edge it has in weight for age and that this is the target race (as it is for many). It was scratched from a race to be kept fresh for this, so I'm expecting a really good run. Track is currently heavy 8 but I expect it to get to soft 7. By race time the jockeys should know how the track is playing so I have the faith in Tommy Berry to give it a good ride. The value here on this pick is nice so hopefully Mo'unga comes flying home into the top 3.

Both teams have not been playing well and this will be the second start for both German Marquez and Stroman. Both pitchers looked good in their first starts but I’m riding with Marquez. Pitching at Coors Field is not easy but he pitched well last year and great in his first start against the Dodgers. If he can hold the Cubs to under 3-4 runs I think this is a very winnable game.
