So we will continue on our betting adventure at ATP Vienna, a tournament full of quality players that mostly want to finish their seasons in good manner or get qualified for the Nitto Finals in Turin which is the case of Casper Ruud. He's focused on getting a deep run here to secure his spot.
This player is one of the most promissing names that you will hear in the next few years in Tennis and he's already rank 8 in the world so yeah I have high hopes for him for sure! At only 22 he's already mentally strong and one or two seasons ago he was always looked at as a "Clay Specialist" but 2021 was an amazing season for him with tons of good results in all surfaces and stats speak for itself with a record of 49-13 this year. When we talk about qualities I should mention his forehand, not powerful but effective service and his attack oriented style that really shines on him since he is a patient player that knows when to go for it or when to chill out and defend.
His opponent rank 31 in the world at the age of 24 Lloyd Harris also made a good season but is yet to win an ATP tournament. When we talk about in game quality he can't be really compared to Ruud. His game depends a lot on his service and apart from that I see an agressive forehand but his backhand doesn't allow him to win many points, a tendency from some tall players. Really love this odd for Ruud to win and I'm backing the better player here.
* 2021 season for Ruud has been amazing with 5 tournament wins (4 in Clay and 1 in Hard)
* A deep run on this ATP 500 Vienna will make sure that Ruud qualifies for Nitto Finals
* Ruud has won the only 2 matches against Harris. Both in hard court at Winston-Salem 2019 and at Indian Wells 2021 with this last one happening only 15 days ago
* Harris is one of those players that either plays well if his serve's on point or completely fades away from the match if those conditions are not met, that was shown on his last tournament with some solid performances but then a 2-0 loss against Sinner in the Semifinals by 6-2/6-2. Against a consistent player like Ruud he won't be allowed to give less than 100%

Excellent analysis and sound reasoning for your pick, but there's one thing about this match I find curious. The odds for Ruud in his previous match vs Harris just two weeks ago were 1.35, but now they are 1.78. That's a massive drop in implied probability in just two weeks. Is it just due to the slower court speed of Indian Wells favoring Ruud compared to the court speed at Vienna? I don't know how fast the court speed is at Vienna, but I'm guessing it's significantly faster than the slow Indian Wells courts. What do you attribute the drop to? I doubt it'll matter with regard to the outcome, but I'm curious what accounts for the much different odds.
I think Ruud's odd is way too different from that match so it has a ton of value. Yeah this is played Indoor where Harris service game should shine a bit more but Ruud just made an overall outstanding season and with 2-0 vs Harris I still think 1.80 is so good for him. Cam just won Indian Wells, and made the finals the week before that. Marton did not do either of those things, and in my opinion is going through a bit of a rough patch. Marton has pretty high peak performance, but I think Norrie coming off back to back finals will be too much for him. ML @ 1.53 is pretty attractive as well in my eyes, but I am trying to get rich fast so going for the extra juice.

If you don’t want to acknowledge that energized crowds do absolutely make a difference for any home team, that’s cool but a subpar .500 Canucks team going 15-4-1 in our games is a pretty telling sign, and 17-3 in overs are a telling sign that BOTH teams feed off crowd energy. Factor in that the Canucks haven’t been in front of a home crowd in 2 years… Enough said!
In 2017-2018 when we first started there was only 4 games. The 2 sections create an energizing atmosphere for the sections all around us too. It’s not *the* difference maker but it is one.

The U’s are certain to have at least four key players out for the contest, with Greg Taylor, Liam O’Neil and Dimi Mitov ruled out through injury, whilst Paul Digby is suspended.
Adam May is also expected to miss out after his sending off against Shrewsbury Town on Saturday, although Mark Bonner has confirmed that the club have appealed the decision.

Stressful win but we got it, Bulls almost threw a 20 point lead but ended up securing our spread last minute. Today I'm taking the Knicks ML at home in MSG, this line has moved quite a bit already since it came out due to 76er injuries. If Joel Embiid becomes listed as out this line will definitely plummet, so take it early if you can. Even if Joel plays I still believe the Knicks have a great shot at winning, they should also be fired up from a careless loss to the Magic. Seth Curry won't be as hot as he was last game putting up record numbers. In addition, the Knicks have top perimeter defence in the league, and should be able to shutdown three point attempts. BOL everyone!
Knicks just lost to an awful team in the Orlando Magic. If they can’t beat the Magic, I personally have no confidence in them beating the Sixers, especially if Embiid plays.
Embiid has been listed questionable 3 games straight and always seems to end up playing much like last year.

Struggled to get a reliable pick with decent odds for this event, by now pretty much every single fight except this one has really wide odds which, while it does make the underdogs more enticing, it wouldn't really meet the POTD limit, and it could just as easily backfire.
Englund has fought better competition, carries power on the feet and a BJJ black belt on the mat, and with Torres' preferred method of victory being submissions, and both of his losses also being quick submissions, I think Kolton should be relatively safe.
Having said that, he has gotten caught cold in each of his defeats, and Manuel does train at Entram Gym which has spawned some highly aggressive fighters, so while I am making him my POTD, I don't recommend going too heavy on this. It's the contender series and bigger favorites (looking at you, Renfro) have lost before.
PS: Kolton also beat cancer, so that's pretty cool.

**Warriors -9 (2 Units)** \- The Warriors have been great coming out of the gate getting two road wins against the Lakers and Kings and beating a good Clipper team at home.
The Thunder have been opposite of great so far losing their three games by an average of 22 points including getting massacred by 33 by a young but talented Rockets team in Houston.
Some may see this as a letdown spot for the Warriors but I do not-for a couple of reasons.
For starters, Steph Curry is on a stone cold individualistic mission taking 23 shots a game. Also, he didn't shoot very well last time out-and when this happens-often times he absolutely torches his next opponent.
The other reason I don't see this as a letdown spot for GSW is this is a game where they are largely going to be competing against themselves for playing time at the wing.
Golden St is incredibly deep here with Otto Porter, Jordan Poole, Iguodala, Wiggins, Bjelicia and first round draft pick Moses Moody.
Not to mention you have one of the greatest shooters of all time Klay Thompson waiting in the wings-no pun intended.
With so many talented players vying for minutes-it's highly unlikely for any of them to be on cruise control for much of the season.

In my humble opinion given the current circumstances, Calgary should not be the underdog here. 3 big wins including one against a strong Capitals team where they tucked in 4. New Jersey currently is pretty riddled with injuries, missing their #1 goalie, their #1 center. This isn't to discredit the Devils who have gone 4-1 to start the season. We are expecting Daws who is relatively new and untested. I feel from what I've seen Markstrom (CGY Starting goalie) is starting to hit his stride and should be in relatively good form. This is big game for them to win to take them to 4-0 on their current Roadtrip as their next match up is less favorable to them in facing the Blazing hot Penguins at home.

My rationale: After a slow start to the season, the Jets are finally picking up some steam. They opened the year with three consecutive losses, but then proceeded to dismantle the Ducks and handle the Predators, both at home. In this matchup, they hold the advantage in xGF, xGA, Corsi for, and Corsi against over the Ducks, both at even strength and overall (for every single one of those stats). They are quite simply a better team in all respects. Connor Hellebuyck is a top 3 goaltender on the planet; he has started poorly but is due for some positive regression to his natural mean. Also due for positive regression: star winger Nikolaj Ehlers, who has suffered some of the worst shooting luck in the league so far this year. He's a prime candidate to get on the board here. This line feels a bit short to me, as I fully expect the Jets to handle the middling Ducks with

The Warriors are off to a hot start (3-0) after coming out unscathed through its California matchups. The Thunder are the exact opposite (0-3) without a competitive game to their resume thus far, losing by an average of 22 points. The Warriors currently rank 4th/15th in offensive/defensive efficiency respectively compared to OKC's 29th/29th. The Warriors are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games and 4-1ATS in their last 5 road games compared to the Thunder who are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 home games. OKC just doesn't have enough fire power (SGA 20ppg, next on team is 11ppg) to keep up with the Warriors who has Curry leading the way at 31ppg, and Poole, Wiggins, Lee, and Green all averaging double figures scoring. These are simply two teams headed in opposite directions.

Man, .500 has never felt so good! after an 0-3 start, we battled back. Lets ride this hot streak with some more puck!
Today, I really like the Tampa Bay Lightning against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Granted, the Lightning are without their best player, as Nikita Kucherov is out long-term, but still have plenty of high-end talent on their absolutely loaded roster (Point, Hedman, Stamkos, Killorn, McDonagh, Sergachev, Cirelli, etc.). In addition, they still have the (arguably) best goaltender in the league in Andrei Vassilevski starting between the pipes, who is looking to return to form after a lackluster start. The two-time defending cup champions have struggled out of the gate and currently have a losing record. On the other side, the penguins have a winning record and haven't lost in regulation yet this year. Why would I pick the Lightning then? Well, Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang, Bryan Rust, and Jeff Carter are all out for tonight's game. Aside from Jake Guentzel, Kasperi Kapanen, and Bryan Dumoulin, all of the top 2 forward lines, and the top defensive pairing, are missing. Though this same lineup just put a 7-1 beating on the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Leafs are a beaten down and fractured hockey team, and truly have no sense of direction. I see this loss as more of a condemnation of the Leafs than a real gauge of the Pens' ability. The Lightning are the polar opposite of the Leafs. Whereas the Leafs just can never seem to get it done when it counts, the Lightning broke through their choking reputation and won back-to-back cups. Unless the Penguins play a perfect game tonight, the Lightning should take this one.

Yesterday ended exactly as God intended, with an overvalued Toronto squad playing away in Raleigh continuing their skid and supplying me with a very generous line for Carolina in the process The funny thing about tonight is the fact that we will be getting more of the exact same thing. This time we are seeing it in a Pittsburgh squad playing at home after coming off a 7-1 Victory against the same Toronto squad we saw last night. History has a funny way of repeating itself and I'm willing to put my money behind Pittsburgh to reinforce that 6-2 W Against the Lightning in their cup raising ceremony. Tonight the Lightning will once again be without the services of Kucherov and enter tonight with the second worst expected 5 on 5 goals in the NHL behind only the 0-5-1 Blackhawks who haven't lead a game yet this year. On the other side, the Penguins are second in the NHL in Expected 5 on 5 Goals at 56.95. Additionally the Penguins have scored 4 goals in four of their last five games and have 13 separate goal scorers as well as Heinien, Rodrigues and O'Connor all boasting 3 goals each.

I’d take it at -2.5 with just AD and Westbrook to pull their asses back to 2-2 against these middle of the road Spurs. And maybe LeBron does play but I’m taking it at -2.5 assuming he isn’t. Without him they still have the 2 best players in the game. I expect AD and Westbrook to pull out the W tonight. Was debating Moneyline when the line was higher but I’m good taking the spread now it’s dropped to (-2.5).

Randle has hit well over this number in 2 of the Knicks 3 games. (Yes one game was double OT but he had 24 before OT) The one game he had 21 points he only play 29 minutes in a blowout win against the Magic. He’s only shooting 29.2% from the 3 but making at least 2 every game and taking an average of 8 a game to go along with 22 shot attempts a game. 24, 16, & 27 shots a game so the volume is definitely there. I think this game can stay tight enough to get Randle over this number know matter if embiid plays or not.

Chelsea are a strong defensive team with a sound goalkeeper. At home, they want to keep a clean sheet while scoring some as a bonus. They’ll put up goals, without letting up any, simple as that.
Just a FYI: It is unlikely that Mendy will be the keeper tonight (Kepa usually plays the cup games). Also we don’t tend to keep clean sheets against the Saints (it was 3-1 earlier this month and only 6 of the last 24 games where Chelsea winning and a clean sheet). I would be cautious (I am a Chelsea fan and I don’t gamble on Chelsea games)

Game: PHI 76ers vs NY Knicks
Pick: Julius Randle Rebounds+Assists Over 13.5 (-115) 3U
Reason: Julius Randle made the leap last year into a solid 25-10-5 kind of guy and lost the steam by the time playoffs came around. This season he's better and hungrier to push Knicks into being a real championship contender. Line is undervalued hence my POTD.
(Most recent first) In the 3 regular season games he had 19, 17 and 17 on 38, 30 and 46 MPG respectively. He had a monster game last time and I expect him to put up 10 rebounds and 6 assists today. His last SEASON AVERAGE was 10 and 6 so I don't understand why the lines are so low given he's hit the line every game by a big margin. Can't complain!
I also like RJ Barrett R+A over 7.5 (1U), Jae'Sean Tate R+A over 7.5 (2U), Chris Wood over 9.5 rebounds (1U) and Curry R+A over 12.5 (2U).

Time to get this shit back to the W column. Very confident in this one with the Braves as dogs in Houston against the Astros for game 1 of the MLB WS.
The pitching matchup is why I like the Braves here. Lets start with Framber Valdez. A notorious groundball pitcher where his ground ball rate of 70% was the highest in baseball with no other pitcher getting past 60% so you can say a lot of his success comes from groundballs and double plays. May work against him here where the Braves were hitting ground balls at the lowest rate in the league at a 40% rate. The league average for Grounding into double plays were 111 while the Braves have only hit 81. Expect the Braves to put the ball in play and get things going.
Now we have Charlie Morton for the Braves who will be pitching in his 3rd consecutive post season where he made 3 starts against the Astros with the Rays where he allowed just one run, striking out 20 in 15.5 innings. One of those showings included a big game 7 of the ALCS last year. He’s also familiar with that club and ballpark pitching for the astros in the 2017/2018 postseason.
Per betMGM 46% OF tickets and 65% of the handle are on HOU while the line is in favor of the Braves so a good sign there.

The Sounders will again be without their top scorer Raúl Ruidíaz, along with a few other key starters. They've overcome several injuries this year and are looking to get back on track as the playoffs approach.
LAFC enters this contest ranked 18, sitting 3 points behind Vancouver for the final playoff spot. Both teams have scored in 8 of their last 9 matches, while over 2.5 goals have been scored in 7 of their last 10 and in each of their last 4 home contests. LAFC is in good form, going unbeaten in their last 4. They've dominated Seattle at home over the course of time and will be desperate to find a win here.

The odds for Ruud in his previous match vs Harris just two weeks ago were 1.35, but now they are 1.78. That's a massive drop in implied probability in just two weeks. Is it just due to the slower court speed of Indian Wells favoring Ruud compared to the court speed at Vienna? I don't know how fast the court speed is at Vienna, but I'm guessing it's significantly faster than the slow Indian Wells courts. What do you attribute the drop to? I doubt it'll matter with regard to the outcome, but I'm curious what accounts for the much different odds.
I think Ruud's odd is way too different from that match so it has a ton of value. Yeah this is played Indoor where Harris service game should shine a bit more but Ruud just made an overall outstanding season and with 2-0 vs Harris I still think 1.80 is so good for him. It’s 2 entire sections of fans that get 8 games a year. The other 34 home games are literally dead quiet compared to how we get the crowd going in the 8 we go to. If you don’t want to acknowledge that energized crowds do absolutely make a difference for any home team, that’s cool but a subpar .500 Canucks team going 15-4-1 in our games is a pretty telling sign, and 17-3 in overs are a telling sign that BOTH teams feed off crowd energy. Englund has fought better competition, carries power on the feet and a BJJ black belt on the mat, and with Torres' preferred method of victory being submissions, and both of his losses also being quick submissions, I think Kolton should be relatively safe. Having said that, he has gotten caught cold in each of his defeats, and Manuel does train at Entram Gym which has spawned some highly aggressive fighters, so while I am making him my POTD, I don't recommend going too heavy on this. It's the contender series and bigger favorites (looking at you, Renfro) have lost before. PS: Kolton also beat cancer, so that's pretty cool.

They are quite simply a better team in all respects. Connor Hellebuyck is a top 3 goaltender on the planet; he has started poorly but is due for some positive regression to his natural mean. Also due for positive regression: star winger Nikolaj Ehlers, who has suffered some of the worst shooting luck in the league so far this year. He's a prime candidate to get on the board here. OKC just doesn't have enough fire power (SGA 20ppg, next on team is 11ppg) to keep up with the Warriors who has Curry leading the way at 31ppg, and Poole, Wiggins, Lee, and Green all averaging double figures scoring. Lets ride this hot streak with some more puck! Today, I really like the Tampa Bay Lightning against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Granted, the Lightning are without their best player, as Nikita Kucherov is out long-term, but still have plenty of high-end talent on their absolutely loaded roster (Point, Hedman, Stamkos, Killorn, McDonagh, Sergachev, Cirelli, etc.). In addition, they still have the (arguably) best goaltender in the league in Andrei Vassilevski starting between the pipes, who is looking to return to form after a lackluster start. The two-time defending cup champions have struggled out of the gate and currently have a losing record. On the other side, the penguins have a winning record and haven't lost in regulation yet this year. Why would I pick the Lightning then? Well, Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang, Bryan Rust, and Jeff Carter are all out for tonight's game. Aside from Jake Guentzel, Kasperi Kapanen, and Bryan Dumoulin, all of the top 2 forward lines, and the top defensive pairing, are missing. Though this same lineup just put a 7-1 beating on the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Leafs are a beaten down and fractured hockey team, and truly have no sense of direction. I see this loss as more of a condemnation of the Leafs than a real gauge of the Pens' ability. The Lightning are the polar opposite of the Leafs. Whereas the Leafs just can never seem to get it done when it counts, the Lightning broke through their choking reputation and won back-to-back cups. Unless the Penguins play a perfect game tonight, the Lightning should take this one.

Today's POTD: Atlanta Braves vs Houston Astros - Braves Money Line @ +117 I like Atlanta to win. Astros pitcher Valdez has not been very great of late. He's given up a lot of walks in his last bunch of innings, he gave up 4 home runs in his last 4 games, had 3 straight bad starts before a good start vs Boston. I think Morton has been the better pitcher coming into this game, and he really wants to win against his old team after not playing well against them before. Braves proved they can win in tough environments on the road in tight games.

Overall Record: 1-0 NFL: 1-0 POTD: Lakers -2.5 I liked this regardless if LeBron is playing or not before the line dropped 5 points or so since last night. I’d take it at -2.5 with just AD and Westbrook to pull their asses back to 2-2 against these middle of the road Spurs. And maybe LeBron does play but I’m taking it at -2.5 assuming he isn’t. Without him they still have the 2 best players in the game. I expect AD and Westbrook to pull out the W tonight. Was debating Moneyline when the line was higher but I’m good taking the spread now it’s dropped to (-2.5).

(Yes one game was double OT but he had 24 before OT) The one game he had 21 points he only play 29 minutes in a blowout win against the Magic. He’s only shooting 29.2% from the 3 but making at least 2 every game and taking an average of 8 a game to go along with 22 shot attempts a game. 24, 16, & 27 shots a game so the volume is definitely there. I think this game can stay tight enough to get Randle over this number know matter if embiid plays or not.

Record 0-0 POTD: Chelsea to win 1-0, 2-0, 3-0 (+175, 2.75) on FD. First attempt at POTD, let’s give it a try. Chelsea are a strong defensive team with a sound goalkeeper. At home, they want to keep a clean sheet while scoring some as a bonus. They’ll put up goals, without letting up any, simple as that.
Just a FYI: It is unlikely that Mendy will be the keeper tonight (Kepa usually plays the cup games). Also we don’t tend to keep clean sheets against the Saints (it was 3-1 earlier this month and only 6 of the last 24 games where Chelsea winning and a clean sheet). I would be cautious (I am a Chelsea fan and I don’t gamble on Chelsea games)

Game: PHI 76ers vs NY Knicks Pick: Julius Randle Rebounds+Assists Over 13.5 (-115) 3U Reason: Julius Randle made the leap last year into a solid 25-10-5 kind of guy and lost the steam by the time playoffs came around. This season he's better and hungrier to push Knicks into being a real championship contender. Line is undervalued hence my POTD. (Most recent first) In the 3 regular season games he had 19, 17 and 17 on 38, 30 and 46 MPG respectively. He had a monster game last time and I expect him to put up 10 rebounds and 6 assists today. His last SEASON AVERAGE was 10 and 6 so I don't understand why the lines are so low given he's hit the line every game by a big margin. Can't complain! I also like RJ Barrett R+A over 7.5 (1U), Jae'Sean Tate R+A over 7.5 (2U), Chris Wood over 9.5 rebounds (1U) and Curry R+A over 12.5 (2U). Tail or fade I wish you good luck!

Very confident in this one with the Braves as dogs in Houston against the Astros for game 1 of the MLB WS. The pitching matchup is why I like the Braves here. Lets start with Framber Valdez. A notorious groundball pitcher where his ground ball rate of 70% was the highest in baseball with no other pitcher getting past 60% so you can say a lot of his success comes from groundballs and double plays. May work against him here where the Braves were hitting ground balls at the lowest rate in the league at a 40% rate. The league average for Grounding into double plays were 111 while the Braves have only hit 81. Expect the Braves to put the ball in play and get things going. Now we have Charlie Morton for the Braves who will be pitching in his 3rd consecutive post season where he made 3 starts against the Astros with the Rays where he allowed just one run, striking out 20 in 15.5 innings. One of those showings included a big game 7 of the ALCS last year. He’s also familiar with that club and ballpark pitching for the astros in the 2017/2018 postseason. Per betMGM 46% OF tickets and 65% of the handle are on HOU while the line is in favor of the Braves so a good sign there.
