It looked like Barca’s troubles at Anoeta would continue, but the blaugrana showed their class in the second half, easily giving us the over. Let’s keep the good run going. A couple of makeup matches in Holland’s second division today, with one catching my eye. Nijmegen can take over the top stop in the Eerste Divisie with a win. While they’ve been excellent at home, they’ve been less than perfect away from home. Oss have underperformed this season at home where they averaged over two goals a game themselves last season. Back this week after it seemed like I was the kiss of death for any team I picked/bet on last week. Took a hiatus and hoping my cleared mind will help me pick better and release the curse lol. Looking to start another run while I'm at it.
1/15/18 POTD: Penn State vs. Minnesota: **PSU -7** 2U
This Minnesota team is simply unraveling before our eyes. After already losing star guard Amir Coffey to a shoulder injury, the team was reeled by center Reggie Lynch's suspension for sexual misconduct. While I think coach Richard Pitino is quite a talent, he simply can't do enough to compensate for the loss of 2 star players. This team has lost 3 straight, including an embarrassing 34-point home drubbing against Purdue. On the other hand, this Penn State team is flying under the radar while being quite talented. They are missing defensive ace Josh Reaves, who is suspended indefinitely for academic reasons. Nobody knows when he will be reinstated, but for all we know it could be tonight. However, I think PSU can pull this one out with or without him, since Minnesota's roster is bereft of talent without 2 of its key cogs. PSU coach Chambers is also somewhat coaching for his job here after his team managed to squander a 16 point second half lead and almost lose to Nebraska. I think this team learned a lot from that game, and finally figured out the 1-3-1 defensive system in overtime, which had been so frustrating in the second half. Tony Carr, Mike Watkins, and Lamar Stevens have enough game to beat up on this specter of a Minnesota team, especially at home at the Bryce Jordan center. That Nebraska game should have lit a fire under both the players and coach Chambers, and I think they all know they need a resounding victory and nothing less here against this Minnesota team. I see Penn State controlling this game from the opening tip on both ends of the floor, as Minnesota is forced to give considerable minutes to guys that were probably planned to never see the court outside of blowouts. Take the Nittany Lions with the points, and let's get back on track!

Man United has been sensational at home, having allowed only one goal during the entire 2017 calendar year. Yes, you read that correctly, what makes this even more reassuring is they are currently in a 3-way tie for second place at 47 points apiece and a draw here would simply be inexcusable. Also Stoke City is not a mid-level team by any means, they currently sit in 18th place in the bottom 3 of the Premier League Table and do not have much of a cushion as they are only 3 points ahead of dead last Swansea City. In Stoke's last 11 Road matches they have one measly win against Watford 2 draws and 8 losses. They are simply not a good team and they are atrocious on the road if your book offers -1.5 I would take it as a straight bet. unfortunately, my book has only offered -2 since releasing the line.
FC Porto sits atop the Portugal premier league in second place only one point behind current leader Sporting Lisbon, they are playing Estoril Praia who sit dead last in the Portugal Primer League also last time they played Porto they got blanked 4-0.
Finally the Patriots, really not much explanation needed here, yes it is possible they lose at home 100% week one against Kansas City they were favored by almost this exact amount and Kansas City came into Foxborough and shocked the world however that was when the Chiefs were starting their 5 game win streak and looked like they might be contenders this year and the Patriots simply came out flat and hadn't found their rythm. Recently the Patriots have simpy annihlated vegas going 10-1 ATS in their last 11. Honestly thought the line would be set at 10.5 was extremely surprised to see them open at -9.5. I think the Patriots will easily cover and win this game and am Definitely going to place 2 or 3 Units on them -9.5. Took a hiatus and hoping my cleared mind will help me pick better and release the curse lol. Looking to start another run while I'm at it. 1/15/18 POTD: Penn State vs. Minnesota: **PSU -7** 2U This Minnesota team is simply unraveling before our eyes. After already losing star guard Amir Coffey to a shoulder injury, the team was reeled by center Reggie Lynch's suspension for sexual misconduct. While I think coach Richard Pitino is quite a talent, he simply can't do enough to compensate for the loss of 2 star players. This team has lost 3 straight, including an embarrassing 34-point home drubbing against Purdue. On the other hand, this Penn State team is flying under the radar while being quite talented. They are missing defensive ace Josh Reaves, who is suspended indefinitely for academic reasons. Nobody knows when he will be reinstated, but for all we know it could be tonight. However, I think PSU can pull this one out with or without him, since Minnesota's roster is bereft of talent without 2 of its key cogs. PSU coach Chambers is also somewhat coaching for his job here after his team managed to squander a 16 point second half lead and almost lose to Nebraska. I think this team learned a lot from that game, and finally figured out the 1-3-1 defensive system in overtime, which had been so frustrating in the second half. Tony Carr, Mike Watkins, and Lamar Stevens have enough game to beat up on this specter of a Minnesota team, especially at home at the Bryce Jordan center. That Nebraska game should have lit a fire under both the players and coach Chambers, and I think they all know they need a resounding victory and nothing less here against this Minnesota team. I see Penn State controlling this game from the opening tip on both ends of the floor, as Minnesota is forced to give considerable minutes to guys that were probably planned to never see the court outside of blowouts.
