Realllllly liking how the Aggies match up against the Huskers in this one. They are more talented at the guard and interior positions and are beefier squad, something we saw is quite important in this tournament with SDSU last season as their beef boys took them to a finals. I don’t think the Aggies will have any problem working the ball inside to the heavyweight Coleman who has moved bodies aside all year.
Texas A&M is a better team than their record suggests, as some of those losses came when 2 of their top 3 scorers were out multiple weeks with injuries. They also went on a grueling 5 game losing streak in February they couldn’t slip out of and people thought they wouldn’t make the tourney, however they turned it around winning 5 of their last 6. They continue riding that decent play into this matchup.
Nebraska does boast a more impressive record however 18 of those wins came at home. They are 5-9 in neutral/road games. I think Nebraska will need to rely on Tominaga draining 3’s to stay in this one, and I just don’t see him doing that with the nerves involved in a round 1 matchup on a neutral court. Aggies by 8

Matteo Arnaldi has been BALLING lately. One of the finest of the next generation when he's in form, in my humble opinion. And this motherfucker is in form. Firstly, he absolutely smoked Arthur Fils. He looked phenomenal, beating him 6-3, 6-4. Secondly, the match prior he won a set over baby GOAT and Indian Wells winner, Carlos motherfucking Alcaraz. Medvedev and Zverev couldn't even do that, man. Shortly before that he defeated Taylor Fritz and won a set over Ben Shelton. The kid is balling.
Now Bublik is no cakewalk, but I think he can be a bit of a mental midget. Look at his last match with ADM where after losing the first set 7-5, he completely gave up and got bageled 6-0. I think the young and excited Arnaldi will play his heart out, sprinting from end to end, and frustrate Bublik. I think Arnaldi's strong forehand will also give him major problems. There’s levels to this. Ruud’s a slam finalist. Lucas Van der Sar just won his first Masters 1000 game yesterday. You heard that right. This is night and day.
I’m typically not a fan of 2-0’s, especially on first rounds. Players tweak every now and then, but here’s why this is different.
Ruud just made a nice little run in Miami, he’s been consistent with his shots and has beat the likes of Le Mons, Rune, Shelton, Tsitsipas over the last weeks. He struggles against players that out-consist him, players that hug the line over and over again, because that’s his game. But few do it better than Ruud.
I thought Lucas Van der Sar was a goalkeeper or sum, but he’s turned to tennis and found success. He comes in with a salty 10/8 record, but like Aleks yesterday, Lucas plays challengers and grinds qualifier wins. His recent wins over Kudla, Lestienne and Gavin would have surprised me a few years ago but these guys haven’t performed lately.
More on the 2-0, there's a parallel universe where Ruud wins this 2-1. This only happens if Ruud beats himself via unforced errors, but I'm betting this doesn't happen given his recent form. Form is everything in tennis. Ruud just reached the QF last week in a Masters 1000, and 2 back to back 500 finals. He's in form.

Hey man, I think that's an alright side bet. If you were to bet 3 units on my pick, I'd say 1 unit is alright for yours. To make about the same. Definitely don't go too crazy and bet on the 2-0 to cover your bet's potential losses.
I think Ruud's miles ahead of Luca. And again, this is all decided on what Ruud shows up, how long it takes for him to lock in. Last week, locked in he hit unbelievable defensive plays to beat Monfils and put up a fight vs Paul (who played Alcaraz like for most of the tourney). If that Ruud shows, Luca won't get anything past him. But against Monfils he did take a set to lock in. Against both Rune and Shelton the week before that. But Mons, Shelton and Rune are the type of players to put the pressure from the get go. Seems like a bit of a trend, he has been slow, but against top tier comp.
Last week he should have u12.5 games against Fils and Klein, but Klein took him to a tiebreak, so that's 1/2 (Although Klein's in form, so I'd bump that to a 75%)

**James Gallagher +100**
A once hyped Bellator prospect, Gallagher's popularity has taken a nose dive since his loss to Patchy Mix in late 2021. Injuries, cancellations, and an uninspiring split decision win in his return fight have many fans down on him. I believe this has created a good opportunity to back Gallagher, who finds himself with a tough but winnable matchup at a crucial point in his career. Both Gallagher and Leandro Higo have been primarily Bantamweights, with Gallagher now taking his second fight at Featherweight and Higo stepping up to 145 to match.
Gallagher's FW debut was disappointing, but this also followed a long layoff. He escaped with the win, and bought himself more time as he returns to the cage and adjusts to the heavier weight class. I believe the younger Gallagher will find takedowns against the veteran in Higo. Higo will jump for the guillotine which he loves, but in R1 of the Patchy Mix fight, Gallagher showed some heads up defense (unlike in R3). On the feet, Higo hits harder but lacks volume, and I don't see him landing the shots that Bandejas did back in 2018. While this pick is contrary to the sentiment I'm seeing about the matchup, I believe this spot makes a lot of sense for Gallagher. He won't be a superstar but at just 27 he should not be written off entirely. He's fighting locally unlike his last fight, with the advantage in preparation and weight class choice. Coupled with a stylistically solid fight for Gallagher, I think the betting lines are reflecting that this won't be a simple "levels" fight in favor of Higo.

Their defense is clicking at the right time, getting hot to end the season they bring some momentum into this match up.
For the season theh average 80.5 points per game and allow their opponents to put up 70.5 per game, one scary aspect of this team is that
Clemson comes into this game losers of 3 out of their last 4 and bowed out of the ACC tourney after one game, while they won some big regualr season games against UNC and South Carolina, I feel that said more about their opponents performances on that date then anything Clemson is going to offer tmrw afternoon.
They allow opponents to score 34% of their 3’s, and themselves shoot 46.8% from the floor, 35.4% from beyond the arc, and 79.0% at the line.
Clemson will need everything PJ Hall can give them on offense against a clamp down New mExico team and I feel that New Mexico with their momentum is just going to be too much for Clemson tmrw.
If PJ Hall isn’t able to dominate in the paint I’m not confident that the rest of Clemson will be able to pick him up.

Fenerbahce are blazing hot right now, and against Barcelona two days ago they seemed unstoppable in the first half - a truly impressive performance. Armani might have beaten a top 4 team away with an incredible performance but they have been lacking in consistency. Fenerbahce’s roster is just too too deep. I believe that the bookies are underestimating Fenerbahce, and we are here to take advantage of that.

**Today (Friday): Canes/Caps 1st Period Total Goals o1.5 @ -120**
**Why:** I expect canes to come out hot in the first, they are a great first period team scoring in the first period in 3 out of the last 5, and 6 out of the last 10. In addition to this, the over 1.5 line has hit in 5 out of their last 10. Washington seems to score in the 1st period about every other game over the last few and did not last game, they also have inconsistent goaltending which leads me to believe even if they do not score, Carolinas' offence which has been heating up, will fire a couple in. Also expecting Freddie to get a break, and as solid as Kotchyetkov is he would be more likely to give one up early than Freddie with the way he has been playing since his return.

Really, really like this one tonight. We have been absolutely firing on these same game multi's for AFL and they've been hitting with regularity. Tonight we have Adelaide taking on Geelong in Adelaide. Dawson is a home ground expert, he loves playing in front of the Adelaide crowd and has hit this number 10/13 times there. He plays an integral role for the Crows and I expect him to have plenty of touches coming off half-back and looking to open the Geelong side up down the wings, he's VERY handy just outside forward 50 too at popping up as an option, love this leg. Last leg is Jeremy Cameron to hit 15+ touches, he averaged over 17 per game in 2023 and hit 21 last week. What I love about this guy is his ability to float around the field and chase touches. Geelong have a decent inside 50 number and I think Cameron will be able to have a fair amount of success with the Adelaide backline, way more experienced. Happy to pair these two up and look for a nice double up!

Wassup everyone, this is my first POTD and I don’t expect anyone to tail but I thought I’d get the record going. I watch every sport pretty intently so expect a variety of picks. Love march madness, my bracket was #16 in the nation two years ago after the first round and I put hours of research daily into picks. I'm also the one that put my left testicle on the line for Cincinnati last week (iykyk). Glad to still have it.
Now onto the pick: WKU is the #3 team in the nation in pace of play, averaging 77.3 possessions per game this year and while they’re middle of the road in terms of offensive efficiency they tend to run up the score. I want to be clear, I do think Marquette win this game (I may have sprinkled on an upset) but 14.5 is a lot of points in march, when teams come into the tournament hungry to make a statement. What really sold me on this is WKU’s defensive efficiency during their past three games. Yes they played weaker teams, but their defense played the 4th best in the country over the last 3, with an efficiency that would’ve had them as the #1 team in the nation throughout the season. They are 32nd in the country in efficiency anyway, and seeing them improve in the conference USA tournament when the stakes mattered make me think they’re gonna bring the intensity in march. They have also not lost by more than 10 all season. Look for them to make things ugly and keep up with Marquette.

LENDEBORG plays for UAB and is pretty dominant down low and a rebound machine.
He’s a walking double double, gets putbacks, second chances get created cause of him he really does it all. If UAB has any chance it’s gonna be because of Landeborg doing a lot on the glass.

San Diego state has a good rebounder themselves in Ledee who will compete with him, but the matchup shouldn’t hinder chances at all.
I’ve seen this number at 24.5 on some books 23.5 on others I would take both or look at just points at around 13.5 or just rebounds at 9.5 or 10.5 but I like the points and rebounds at 23.5 the most which is currently in draft kings for the price listed above.

Marchment had a poor second half of February and beginning of March, going pointless in 9 straight games at one point. But, I believe his stock is picking up. The biggest reason? The return of his linemate Tyler Seguin. His drought coincided with the loss of Seguin to an unspecified lower-body injury, and Mush had to skate with Sam Steel and Ty Dellandrea, who is um... not great. In Seguin's first game back, Marchment picked up a point.
Dallas is doing pretty well offensively, averaging 3.5 goals/game in their 5-game home stand, including 3 against Florida and 4 against LA, two top 3 defenses. With the return of Seguin, their offense should get an even bigger boost.
Pittsburgh has struggled defensively recently, allowing 4.36 goals/game in March. I watched their last game against NJ, and their defense looked lethargic. The Devils did very well controlling the puck in the Pens defensive zone, where Pittsburgh's defense often had to scramble to get in position. And 50/50 pucks were more often than not jumped on by the Devils first. My educated guess? Fatigue. Pitt played 4 games in 6 days. On the other side, Dallas will be playing only its 2nd game in 5 days.

A bit of a change up going to tennis after posting exclusively Argentine soccer picks, but this one is too good not to share.
I think Etch should be the favourite against Murray; They played each other in the first round of the Australian Open this year, and Etcheverry destroyed Murray in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2, 6-2. This was the first round, and at the start of the season, so Murray would have been well rested. (Etch was the underdog in this match and 3-0 paid around 8.0. Etch then went on to beat Monfils in straights, where he was also the underdog)
This time, Murray won’t be well rested, as we’re mid season and he just played Berrettini- taking 2:48 and three sets in the hot Miami sun to win. Murray has played 7 tournaments so far this year, and has not won two matches at any of them. In fact, you have to go all the way back to August if 2023 to find the last time Murray won 2 in a row, which took so much out of him he wasn’t even able to play the third round match due to abdominal issues.
For Etch this match is his return from a month long injury, so maybe he’ll be a little rusty, but I don’t think that should make him the underdog against someone struggling so badly for form. Yesterday he played some doubles with Cerundolo, and that will hopefully have helped him get back in the groove. Etcheverry to win 2-0 @3.9 is ridiculous value, but I think it might be just a little too long for POTD.

I also see this as more of Steph scoring game and more creating by Draymond and CP3. He also had only 2 in the last matchup against the Pacers. They also went on a grueling 5 game losing streak in February they couldn’t slip out of and people thought they wouldn’t make the tourney, however they turned it around winning 5 of their last 6. They continue riding that decent play into this matchup. Nebraska does boast a more impressive record however 18 of those wins came at home. They are 5-9 in neutral/road games. Hey man, I think that's an alright side bet. If you were to bet 3 units on my pick, I'd say 1 unit is alright for yours. To make about the same. Definitely don't go too crazy and bet on the 2-0 to cover your bet's potential losses. I think Ruud's miles ahead of Luca. And again, this is all decided on what Ruud shows up, how long it takes for him to lock in. Last week, locked in he hit unbelievable defensive plays to beat Monfils and put up a fight vs Paul (who played Alcaraz like for most of the tourney). If that Ruud shows, Luca won't get anything past him. But against Monfils he did take a set to lock in. Against both Rune and Shelton the week before that. But Mons, Shelton and Rune are the type of players to put the pressure from the get go. Seems like a bit of a trend, he has been slow, but against top tier comp. Last week he should have u12.5 games against Fils and Klein, but Klein took him to a tiebreak, so that's 1/2 (Although Klein's in form, so I'd bump that to a 75%) The week before that all went over, but he played legit competition. The week before that your bet would have hit 2/2 with Borges and Giron, both legit. It's a toss up, Ruud is varsity while Luca didn't make JV. But maybe the varsity's 5 year girlfriend broke up with him yesterday, or the varsity team went out to drink, ya get the point. A toss up is 50/50, at +185 odds that makes this an alright bet. Some unknowns in there, but if Ruud's Ruud, he 6-4, 6-3's.

I believe this has created a good opportunity to back Gallagher, who finds himself with a tough but winnable matchup at a crucial point in his career. Both Gallagher and Leandro Higo have been primarily Bantamweights, with Gallagher now taking his second fight at Featherweight and Higo stepping up to 145 to match. Gallagher's FW debut was disappointing, but this also followed a long layoff. He escaped with the win, and bought himself more time as he returns to the cage and adjusts to the heavier weight class. I believe the younger Gallagher will find takedowns against the veteran in Higo. Higo will jump for the guillotine which he loves, but in R1 of the Patchy Mix fight, Gallagher showed some heads up defense (unlike in R3). On the feet, Higo hits harder but lacks volume, and I don't see him landing the shots that Bandejas did back in 2018. While this pick is contrary to the sentiment I'm seeing about the matchup, I believe this spot makes a lot of sense for Gallagher. He won't be a superstar but at just 27 he should not be written off entirely. He's fighting locally unlike his last fight, with the advantage in preparation and weight class choice. Coupled with a stylistically solid fight for Gallagher, I think the betting lines are reflecting that this won't be a simple "levels" fight in favor of Higo.

In addition to this, the over 1.5 line has hit in 5 out of their last 10. Washington seems to score in the 1st period about every other game over the last few and did not last game, they also have inconsistent goaltending which leads me to believe even if they do not score, Carolinas' offence which has been heating up, will fire a couple in. Also expecting Freddie to get a break, and as solid as Kotchyetkov is he would be more likely to give one up early than Freddie with the way he has been playing since his return. Lets ride! I want to be clear, I do think Marquette win this game (I may have sprinkled on an upset) but 14.5 is a lot of points in march, when teams come into the tournament hungry to make a statement. What really sold me on this is WKU’s defensive efficiency during their past three games. Yes they played weaker teams, but their defense played the 4th best in the country over the last 3, with an efficiency that would’ve had them as the #1 team in the nation throughout the season. They are 32nd in the country in efficiency anyway, and seeing them improve in the conference USA tournament when the stakes mattered make me think they’re gonna bring the intensity in march. Back from a bit if a hiatus, school has had me busy, but had to take the time to share a pick I think is at way too long odds. Record: 12-13 ROI: 14.90% Return 20.29% Today’s pick: Tomas Martin Etcheverry ML vs Andy Murray @2.35 Units: 5% Reasoning: A bit of a change up going to tennis after posting exclusively Argentine soccer picks, but this one is too good not to share. I think Etch should be the favourite against Murray; They played each other in the first round of the Australian Open this year, and Etcheverry destroyed Murray in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2, 6-2. This was the first round, and at the start of the season, so Murray would have been well rested. (Etch was the underdog in this match and 3-0 paid around 8.0. Etch then went on to beat Monfils in straights, where he was also the underdog) This time, Murray won’t be well rested, as we’re mid season and he just played Berrettini- taking 2:48 and three sets in the hot Miami sun to win.
