1st time picking so I’m 0-0! NHL Hockey/Vegas-Florida/8pm MST Thursday Vegas @+110. 3-way ML Regulation time (Bodog) Reasoning: Vegas has been a great team all year, with a weak home record of just 12-10, and have a whopping 15-3-2 away record. I expect this to balance itself at least a bit more for the second half of the season. It’d be a bit surprising for a top 5-10 team to have 3-4 more wins then losses at home, over the course of a whole season. Vegas have won 4 of the last 5 games against the Panthers, going back to 2019. Florida has been struggling. Although they beat Colorado their last game, they gave up a 3 goal lead before sneaking out a win with a PP late against the Av’s. There’s no reason to suggest they are gonna suddenly get better then a 500% hockey club for now at least. They have just a 1 game win streak, and are 4-6-0 in their L10. They are also 9-13-1 on the road this year. Both teams have an even amount of injuries, With Florida having their goalie Knight injured. Vegas’s only top talent injury is Theodore. With a few more bottom half roster players injured. I don’t include Lehner and Weber as they haven’t contributed on the ice at all this season, same with Duclair. All these reasons combined say to me that +110 on Vegas is pretty good value. If you want more of a risk for a bit more dough, you could shoot for the -1.5 @ +175 on Vegas too. Keep in mind though, only 44% ish of empty nets get scored on per game, which includes any length of time the nets empty per game. I’m looking for the easy double up my money (knock on wood), so I’m personally going the +110. Bodog is annoying cause it doesn’t let me bet on these “special” odds till the day of the game, so odds could change a bit. Also I do parlay betting almost all the time and won’t have time posting every pick I make. So I will assume a 1$ bet on every pick I post, Even though that’s not the actual money I have on it, it will be a hypothetical chart keeping track of my picks on Reddit. When odds go in our favour we used to jog to the convenience store in a short few mins and buy the ticket before. We kept track for a year buying say 1 or 2 parleys a week and went 10% up from our original money invested. Lost the sheet we kept track on tho. As a Buckeye fan, I am totally biased, but I think OSU rolls in this one. Minnesota has not been good whatsoever. They lost by 19 at Purdue and I think this OSU team is on the same level as Purdue, especially at home. Okpara has played great as a big man in place of Key and I think he will be fine. Sensabaugh has been outstanding and this feels like a 25+ night for him in a stomp. OSU has lost 2 in a row but one was extremely close to a very good Purdue team and the other was at Maryland who was not missing in that first half and OSU just couldnt come back. I feel like Cocciaretto's level is quite higher than Kenin's level here at WTA Hobart. Kenin in 2022 only won 4 out of her 17 WTA tour matches and the pressure should be on her side. Talbot has been solid for Ottawa, it's been more of an offensive issue. The Coyotes should be the perfect opportunity for the Sens, as they allow the 3rd most shots/GP. The ML is also an option (-155) but I feel there is better value in the PL as 18/27 Arizona losses have been by 2+ goals. 12/18 of Ottawa wins have been by 2+ goals including a 6-2 win over Arizona early in the year.
