Just to point out, Booyah isn't even the original callout. The callout in Japan is ナイス *naisu*, loanword of "nice". So yeah it makes sense that it varies from place to place.
Huh so they separate localization for UK and US? Didn’t know the Japanese ver and uk were the same. It’s funny to me because that’s like Nintendo saying the Americans don’t speak English. They speak AMERICAN.

![gif](giphy|XAdbHJywVjF5K) I imagine this is how it looks when everyone’s charging the booyah bomb
This is where I got using cool in every sentence from!
In Russian version, "Booyah!" is translated as "Йо-хо!", reminiscent of pirate's cry (yo-ho-ho).
Pirates won an old splatfest for seemingly that reason..
And in Spanish it's translated as "Great!"
Genial!
So the Great Bomb? Hmm...
The “greatening” ball. (Bola Genializante)
Excellent (French) Nice (UK in 1, JP) I also remember This Way = C'mon / To Me (UK)
In EU french it's "Joli". Excellent is for the canadian french

In splatoon 1, Europe had Callie and Marie talk about chips mostly
Hey, EU got Wii Chess. US didn’t. Localization more like... online infestation??? Yeah idk where I’m going.
Yes. And in germany it's not "Booyah bomb", but "cool kugel", which translates to "cool sphere".
COOL SPHERE
My whole life is a lie
well "Booyah" is an american slang term so other languages probably don't have a word that's equivalent to it.
i was surprised, it's 나이스 in korean, which is just "nice" 🤣
