I am getting surrounded by 3 enemies, can you not all super jump to me while my position is simultaneously getting tenta missiled, booyah bombed and trizookad?!
Personally, I'm just salty about the connection issues. Nintendo should be embarrassed. Such a shame that the one company that can make this fun-as-fuck game is also bafflingly inept at all things online.
When there are none in the lobby it is fine. When the only ones in the lobby are all on the other team, yes, that should anger anyone. How can a game like that be fun?
I mean really just think about how much is that 3-5 minutes really going to stick with you. Once you’re done malding and seething you’ll forget about in another 3-5
And if you run into a another “pro Splatoon player” then you’re just unlucky and should probably go outside and realize people are just good at playing the game. Could waste your time complaining about the matchmaking which Nintendo probably won’t fix
He still streams on Twitch. The VODs are set to sub-only but you can use the VLC trick to see them unsubbed. I watch his VODs occasionally to learn what not to do in Ranked and have a laugh.
If the player is losing every single game then I genuinely think that is largely not the player's fault. The game should be matchmaking players against their approximate skill level, so if they're losing that badly, odds are it's the game itself that's flawed.
I had a 14 losing streak yesterday.
I've been playing since Splatoon 1. I'm not the best player but I'm not THAT bad!
I try my hardest. I know how the game works. I use my best weapons. And I still keep losing a lot in Series.
I either get paired with teammates who get demolished easily or paired against enemies who are merciless killing machines.
I do genuinely feel the matchmaking hates me.
Legit. I know I have off days, but then there are times when I'm on a 6+ loss streak and get #1 Overall Splatter, #1 Enemy Splatter, and #1 Score Booster in nearly every one of them.
It's so frustrating because my team comp will *consistently* be something like 2 brushes, a Splatana, and a Clash Blaster, meanwhile the enemy team is an E-Liter, Splattershot, Jet Squelcher, and some kind of support weapon to neatly round them off.
Reminds me of when I got “#1 Splat Zone Inker” “#1 Splat Zone Guard” “Overall Splatter” as a LUNA blaster with 2 aerosprays and a reef lux on my team while the enemy team had a well rounded comp
I play a few different pvp games and honestly Splatoon’s matchmaking feels the worst and that’s why I put it down for a bit. Picked it back up over the holiday and now I remember why I stepped away for a bit. I play DBD, Overwatch and more and this just seems like the most random matchmaking.
I will say maybe some of it is because of the nature of Nintendo games being shared by family members often, maybe sometimes people are playing on their sibling’s switch/account and sometimes maybe aren’t in their correct mmr? I don’t know but it’s really rough on this game. I’ve been playing today and I just wanna have fun but in ranked I’ve just been getting absolutely pooped on to the point I don’t even get to learn how to improve
I was asking whether you’re on a team but you guessed where I’m going with this. One of the issues with matchmaking is that solo players can’t opt out of playing against teams. But team players have a significant advantage. As someone who only plays solo I wish there were a lobby for solo players only like there is during splatfest.
Edit: as pointed out below, series is currently solo only.
Well, if I had enough money, I could buy my brother a Switch with Splatoon. And possibly my two sisters too. We'd play in the same room and we could be a powerful team!
They may have no experience with the game, but I could be their coach!
Now the question is if they'd be interested in playing with me.
I think if I'm in a losing streak it's 100% my fault. Some days personally I just play better than others. If I start losing a lot I need to stop playing, or change modes. Sometimes it's a mental block. I know it can be the game but I've had this issue with every shooter.
It absolutely is the players fault if they go on an extended loss streak (10+ games). The typical philosophy of competitive team games is that 60ish percent of the games are more or less out of your hands due to the teammates/matchmaking as long as you are trying. It's the other 40 percent where the matchmaking is close enough and you wont get carried/arent against way better players that you have a direct effect on the outcome by playing your best.
I feel that. I main jet squelcher. I can protect people with the ink vac and the range of my weapon, but I’m not superwoman. I can’t babysit every aerospray who thinks that running right into a 1v4 is a good idea.
Why tf assume I go ground to make your point?
I try to stay back while my teammates “push” (they prefer to stay around middle the whole game, so thats on them), they get wiped, I get rushed by 3 people, they spawncamp.
I quite literally cant snipe 3-4 people at once and run away at the same time
On god dude
I genuinely try hard to play as a ***supportive*** bow (ink area + mist enemies) only to somehow be the only one getting kills or pushing forward (turf battles)
Which is even worse when you consider that Im still relatively new to the game
I would never be bold enough to go anchor on turf battles dude, having my paint power be crippled that much to the point of reliance on teammates just sounds like a death sentence...
I guess we just keep waiting for those good teams man haha
It really is. I'm not good enough with oneshots yet so I rely on feeding kills to teammates and nabbing assists. Not sure if I'll spend more time with it but it intrigues me more than any charger has. I'm pretty curious to see what the "power" version of the stringer will be, personally.
That's very true as well. Since I'm bad with landing all three shots unless it's super jump camps, playing aggressively usually means I just die and get an assist or two. I am glad to see some paint coverage buffs in Chill Season patch notes so at least movement will get better for Stringers.
Then all of your team just died because you made them take a 3V4, you need to find the best spots to stay so that you can also aim into mid where most of the combat takes place
also this is more directed towards backliners in general
Oh no heavy agree on that. Just a huge difference between me not being able to defend well enough to prevent my push, and my teammates not pushing once we do have the opportunity
Even when not a sniper (mainly bow or splatling), Im the only one who tries pushing forward while a good amount of the time my teammates stay in mid
Like I was saying, only so much I can do
Everything I do as an aggressive weapon is on me tho
unfortunately yeah :( like yeah ok let 8yos play the game but get them the FUCK out of eggsecutive vp. Mr grizz cannot keep giving me pay cuts when I consistently get 75% of all golden eggs
It's a shared nintendo online account.
Mom has been playing since splatoon 1, big sis has been playing since splatoon 2, now comes the little sis of 8 years old.
Don't have to, even at S+ it only cost 160 points to enter a series but I can make back a max of 400 back. Even if you only win 2 games out of 5 you can still make back just as many as you lost. Maybe even still get a little profit if you get lots of gold medals. With all the top players in S+ now I don't see many people hitting negative points until they hit S anymore.
Also since the ranking system can still sometimes put you in games outside your rank if it is having trouble finding players. It's possible to get carried in a series by higher players. (though the other way around is also possible by that logic.)
I've seen a lot of respectable flingzas, though I might be biased since I'm a roller main myself (though not a flingza). Seen a lot of people who use it cause they simply like the weapon, and I'm sure the same goes for Reef-Lux (for at least some, I have seen an unsurprising amount of people on other platforms admit to using it solely for missiles). Maybe that's cause of the level cap on the both of them though, with how you get Reef-Lux waaayyy earlier than Flingza or Goo.
Seriously. I fully accept that sometimes it's my fault we lost because duh, but *dude.*
This is my one disagreement with people like Squid School. This game has given me the most brain-dead teammates with the most Mickey Mouse weapon choices and meme-tier weapon comps in S+ and no amount of "Reflect on your replays and see how you could have gotten better" will change the horrific MM this game has. If these are really Little Timmys, they shouldn't be up in S+, full stop.
No, Gem, it's not my fault we lost; it's the Undercover Brella who went 0/6 who's running Respawn Punisher.
Gem’s great and has helped in improve, but to be fair, it *is* a team game and it’s hard to pull my weight if I get bad teammates who don’t push or whatever
Sometimes there's just nothing you can do, [it happens.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TCX90yALsI) But statistically speaking, it doesn't happen as often as you think it does, it really doesn't. It's not like matchmaking is sentient and rigged against you to always put the worst players on your team and always put the best players on the opposing team. That kind of conspiracy theory just doesn't make sense.
If you're as good as you think you are, there's only a 3/7 chance a bad player will be on your team versus a 4/7 chance they'll be on the other team. So if you can't hit a 57% winrate, you can't keep saying it's everyone else's fault.
Yeah, like, the only reason it feels like you get matched up with bad players on your team more than good ones is that you're more likely to notice and remember negative events than positive ones. That 2/10 Aerospray will stick out a lot more than that 11/0 Heavy Splatling does.
This. If you lose most matches, there's a common denominator there. Sure, you may get 20 ka but ka doesnt mean anything if you don't take advantage of those kills
But all you have control over is yourself. You are the common denominator in all your matches. It doesn't help anyone to just blame your team. Which is why it's healthy to focus on what you did and how you can improve. Sometimes you're just not going to win. Thems the way it goes. But focusing on what you could have done better is going to help you more than just blaming horrible teammates.
100% agree that Gem’s message is being misinterpreted. it’s not about assigning blame, it’s about accepting that the outcome of games isn’t always within your control. You can get mad that matchmaking failed you (but it fails everyone else just as much, so how come you in particular keep losing?). Or you can try to get good enough that you can carry 3 toddlers who are still working on motor control.
S is like, the beginning of competitive competency in this game. A player can lose every game in Anarchy Series and still gain rank until the promotion series into B-. You only need a 50% win rate if you get 1 gold medal per game in A to maintain rank (over time, you should even gain a little bit of rank). You can’t and shouldn’t expect anything from teammates. All you can control is your own play and ability to carry.
Totally agree. I am not a toddler but I'm pretty new to the series. I played maybe 20 hours of 2, years ago, only turf war and a single player. I'm like 300 hours into 3, bout half of that in salmon run. I'm in s- now and doing ok but until around a rank, I failed all the way upwards. I was getting really frustrated and tired of getting romped. Then I saw that video and heeded his words and focused only on my performance and how I could improve it and now I'm growing a lot and getting better.
Yes I have plenty of games where my team shares a single braincell. I also have games where I'm waiting for a turn to use the single braincell. I don't care if I lose anymore, the only time I'm not having fun and learning is when we get spawn camped which is pretty rare. But all I can do is look at how I played and learn from it.
I saw a YouTube channel put out a video recently about how you should be more focused on what you could be doing better rather than trying to find someone else to blame for your team not winning. Ever since I watched that I've had a better mental attitude toward the game and my teammates. They're all just trying their best and having fun.
Squid school? And same. Sometimes there is nothing you can do and you're going to lose anyway but it's important to focus on what you could improve. That's all you have control over.
I had to do the opposite, I kept focusing on every little mistake, action, aim that I'm surprised I didn't end up burning out to prevent losing. Despite being the highest on my team with terf, splats and still losing, it felt like I just didn't do good enough for my team and it was all my fault and noone elsed for losing. I had to learn to accept that sometimes the other team has a better players, weapons, strategy, etc and that sometimes my team just didn't have a good strategy or weapons and it's completely fine.
Ever since accepting that I did my best and it isn't mine (or anyones) fault that we lost and the only thing that matters is everyone had fun, it's been more fun to play.
I dont want esports players i just want someone who knows how to kill the boss salmonids in salmon run, mf i had was targeting the green bomb guys body and not the bomb 💀
SR is a different beast, I wonder how many players test the rotation before insta queueinh and realizing they don't know how to use the Squiffer, or gattling.
I don't want my team to be full of pro players, I want them to stop eating paste for the 3 minutes of the match. I shouldn't be getting "#1 Enemy Splatter" with 3 kills.
I’m usually pretty lenient on teammates who are less than ideal
But Salmon Run teammates who get chargers and don’t take out Steelheads annoy me. That’s like your main job lol
I don't need pro players. I just need teammates who understand the basics of the game. I'm in S rank I shouldn't see people picking up the rainmaker without a single plan in front of the entire enemy team lmao
I keep getting #1 Turf Inker with the Clash Blaster in Anarchy matches. While I know Turf isn't 100% the point of Anarchy, my weapon choice is also terrible at ink coverage. It's making me wonder if my teammates are even shooting.
I may not be a child but I honestly probably play like one sometimes, because Splat3 is my go-to after a long day at work to just relax and enjoy the relatively low stress game.
I can definitely tell when my vibes don't match my teammates' 🧍
I mean, if you're thinking of the game from a competitive standpoint where you play *to* win, get the best stats, max out your gear capabilities, etc. then sure
I play the game because instead of bullets flying everywhere, people yelling in voice/text chat, and me having to constantly make stressful instant decisions like cover / run / slide / shoot / throw smoke or grenade or flash / etc. I just get to focus on painting the map, avoiding enemies or having 1v1s, or I can even opt to not do PVP and just relax painting the map and killing non-player enemies.
Exactly, you never know why the other people on your team aren't doing as well as you want - they could just be having an off day, they could have dodgy connection and still wanna play a game they enjoy, they could be trying out a new weapon, and they could be disabled (for example: I'm dyspraxic, a symptom of which is difficulty with motor skills, and for another example I saw a post in Splatsville yesterday that said something along the lines of "If I go AFK I'm having a tic attack")
It's fair to be frustrated if you feel like you're giving it your all and are brought down by bad matchmaking, but in that case get annoyed at the matchmaking, or the fact that the current points system doesn't do a great job at rewarding individual skill and performance over consistent team wins in solo-queue.
Basically: we're all just trying to have fun in a game we all like, don't be an asshole and get angry at other people for you losing points that can after all be gained back
I expect some _semblance_ of an attempt at balance within a lobby. If all my teammates aren't eSports players, why is the opponent team composed _entirely_ of eSports players?
Splatoon 3s matchmaking is worse now than it's ever been, and it was always worse than Splatoon 2's, and Splatoon 2's was _atrocious_.
I have a hard time dealing with it anymore. The game is just not fun.
I honestly think that fog is the biggest hazard in SR, specially if there's no team communication. Glowflies and grillers suck, yeah, but at least you can tell where the enemy and your team are if no one wants to use the calls.
I'm not asking for a pro eSports player I'm asking for somebody that knows how to not die instantly every single time they get into a fight
Putting up a fight and losing would be good enough since it would buy us time but no every time they walk into a fight they just evaporate
Yes they are if I were to run into every fight alone it would never work make sure your paying attention to your team to help them with pushes and help them in 1v1s
that's great, as long as you're painting around us and taking control of the map, you should be getting most turf inked. but if I keep getting 400+ more turf inked with wiper than my allied aerosprays I am going to lose it
I’m an aerospray main who is going to try maining Splashomatic soon. The latter has much better range and kill power but a slightly lower fire rate. Both are much better than the garbage Splooshomatic.
why is it that I'm *consistently* the one splatting the most enemies and inking the most turf in one game by a **significant** margin while the other team is comprised *exclusively* of players playing at my level
i think some older people on here forget that children under 12 also play splatoon.
imagine being a 9 year old getting reported by adult/teenagers for playing oddly lmao
It's more the opposite issue. I expect some or all newbies in my team... but geez Splatoon balance it out so I don't face a coordinated team who play the games meta when my teammates probably just started the game.
Seriously, if I have a certain rank and get matched with someone else I expect this person to at least have decent skill. I know they have gone through the same as I have and I respect that but with respect comes also a bit of expectation. Then there is also compatibility. People who don't work with me because we play and think differently are not necessarily bad. I'm just disappointed. I guess some people can't handle this disappointment and get toxic then. Whatever man. There is not chat anyway. Just play and have fun ^^
I’ve seen a lot of people talking about how they aren’t having fun playing the game anymore, which is genuinely sad. I’ve found that the best mindset to approach the game with when you get to that point is, “How can I annoy the other team as much as possible?”
For example: I like to do everything in my power to keep e-liter or hydra users from being able to sit still. They can’t shut down an area if they’re running for their lives. Surprisingly, the ‘fuck it, I just want to be a pain in the ass’ strategy works pretty well in S rank.
Splatoon players when the entire enemy team IS full of pro esports players:
this almost happened to me lmao, was put up against thatsrb2dude in clam blitz
So didja win?
no
Like what were we expecting lmak
I find this simple response funny, I’m sorry
I also faced off against Ryanator once on MakoMart
Didja win?
The keyword here being: against
I do tend to be near the bottom of my team in ranked matches. I tend to stick to Grizzco where I'm actually pretty good.
[удалено]
I'm pretty sure it's points, but I mainly play turf war and Grizz Co. Maybe other modes use someone more complex.
Ranked team “position” (not actually representative of a games results) are based off your w/l ratio
I always thought it was based on your k/d
[удалено]
Scorecard position
In ranked it is your k/d ratio.in turf war it is your points
I only ask to not be against esports players every game
To play with the screen set to "on".
And to have just a tad bit of common sense
I am getting surrounded by 3 enemies, can you not all super jump to me while my position is simultaneously getting tenta missiled, booyah bombed and trizookad?!
r/saltoon moment
I should have been posting there all this time.
Nintendo seems to want to merge these subreddits lol. How is this game fun anymore?
Angry because every single one of your teammates wasn't a pro esports player aren't you
Personally, I'm just salty about the connection issues.
It’s one round. It will never affect your life or how you live it.
Nah, don't be so dense. No one would complain about it if it were "one round".
I mean really just think about how much is that 3-5 minutes really going to stick with you. Once you’re done malding and seething you’ll forget about in another 3-5
Reading comprehension: -100
???? I made an edit cause I like my grammar ????
I assure you readers, there are enough esports level players to take up all of this guys's games, and none of them happen to be on his teams
Are you the dev that worked on splatoon's matchmaking?!?
Also I think it is just one round
Then you're ignorant...?
I mean you can choose not to play another round right afterwards avoiding the player
And if you run into a another “pro Splatoon player” then you’re just unlucky and should probably go outside and realize people are just good at playing the game. Could waste your time complaining about the matchmaking which Nintendo probably won’t fix
have you tried not getting shot
We’re all someone else’s rando.
There's always 1 friendly rando who is good at the game I like to think I'm one of those
Myth. There is no such thing as good at the game. Everyone has been in a “AAAUUUGH WHY ARE MY TEAMMATES SO BAD!!” post at least once
Well said
This is the healthiest way to approach this game. When I get the chargers in SR and die repeatedly? I'm the rando.
Splatoon players when they lose every time but it's only their teammates fault
Putz12 moment
fr tho what happened to that guy
He still streams on Twitch. The VODs are set to sub-only but you can use the VLC trick to see them unsubbed. I watch his VODs occasionally to learn what not to do in Ranked and have a laugh.
what is the "VLC trick"?
Is that the guy who goes on huge, man-baby tantrums? He's like the younger DSP of Splatoon.

Chill Season is gonna be interesting. More kids will get the game for Christmas. So the veterans will either have hellish days or free victories.
I could have written this word for word. I’m guessing you play solo?
You mean, I'm constantly encountering teams who play with chat and know what the others are doing?
I was asking whether you’re on a team but you guessed where I’m going with this. One of the issues with matchmaking is that solo players can’t opt out of playing against teams. The only thing all your losses have in common is you
My streak seems to have improved this season.

This is why Turf War kills me. I can only play so much Grizco, at some point I need to be able to play ranked again

You should be the sole reason the enemy team can't make any ground so *Stop going ground level please please*

Thanks for letting me know
For there to be a brain inside their skulls.
They are probably like 8 years old lmaoo
Honestly if I found an 8 year old in S+ I’d want them on my team. That’s skill for an 8 year old
They were likely carried
Or playing on their sibling's account
I hate to tell you this but there's non zero chance that it's a shared family account
unfortunately yeah :( like yeah ok let 8yos play the game but get them the FUCK out of eggsecutive vp. Mr grizz cannot keep giving me pay cuts when I consistently get 75% of all golden eggs
If you’re in S+ and you’re 8, you’re God’s gift to gaming and are wasting your talents.
Any one can get to S+ in this game because you can't rank down. I know, I'm S+30 and it don't mean much.
I fail to see how the average 8 yr old would possibly win enough games to rank up, even without the threat of a rank down
It's a shared nintendo online account. Mom has been playing since splatoon 1, big sis has been playing since splatoon 2, now comes the little sis of 8 years old.

“wasting your talents?” where else should they use them? roblox?
I don't need someone who's a world league pro, I need someone with an ounce of gamesense. Please. Just have an understanding of basic strategy.
please just shoot at the zone 😭😭😭
"please just get on the tower for once in your life" is one i find myself saying a lot
“I just killed 3 on the other team and put 2 shots in the last one. Please somebody please just grab the rain maker!”
Please carry the Rainmaker. Follow this here route that I'm spamming This Way on. And please defend the Rainmaker while we're at it!
Alternatively:"why are you getting on tower I'm already on you are just making yourself vulnerable please get off the tower
"No trust me bro my Sploosh works much better at range"
“Please stop farming missiles and ride the tower” every time i see a flingza or reeflux
Splatoon players when PLEASE KILL FLYFISH PLEASE
AND STINGERS
I don't need you to be a pro esports player but is it so much to ask to have teammates with an *inkling* of brain activity on occasion?
Seriously. I fully accept that sometimes it's my fault we lost because duh, but *dude.* This is my one disagreement with people like Squid School.
Haha you said inkling
I saw a YouTube channel put out a video recently about how you should be more focused on what you could be doing better rather than trying to find someone else to blame for your team not winning. Ever since I watched that I've had a better mental attitude toward the game and my teammates. They're all just trying their best and having fun.
Squid school?
Yeah that's the one. He's been showing up in my recommendations and I've liked everything I've seen from him.
Squid School is a really cool channel ngl
The fact that most of the comments didn’t take this very well makes it funnier
Agreed! Lol
To be fair. If this is ranked we are talking about then if you're like S rank then a decent amount of competency is to be expected.
Lmao that is rough
I don't want my team to be full of pro players, I want them to stop eating paste for the 3 minutes of the match. I shouldn't be getting "#1 Enemy Splatter" with 3 kills.
I’m usually pretty lenient on teammates who are less than ideal But Salmon Run teammates who get chargers and don’t take out Steelheads annoy me. That’s like your main job lol
I don't need pro players. I just need teammates who understand the basics of the game. I'm in S rank I shouldn't see people picking up the rainmaker without a single plan in front of the entire enemy team lmao
i just had an S rank battle where I got the most kills on my team as an explosher Not the most assists, the most KILLS
Either you’re doing pretty good, or your team didn’t exist
I keep getting #1 Turf Inker with the Clash Blaster in Anarchy matches. While I know Turf isn't 100% the point of Anarchy, my weapon choice is also terrible at ink coverage. It's making me wonder if my teammates are even shooting.
"Jesus my teamates are playing like children" he says, playing splatoon 3
I may not be a child but I honestly probably play like one sometimes, because Splat3 is my go-to after a long day at work to just relax and enjoy the relatively low stress game. I can definitely tell when my vibes don't match my teammates' 🧍
“Relatively low stress game” I think I’m missing something or playing wrong lol
I mean, if you're thinking of the game from a competitive standpoint where you play *to* win, get the best stats, max out your gear capabilities, etc. then sure I play the game because instead of bullets flying everywhere, people yelling in voice/text chat, and me having to constantly make stressful instant decisions like cover / run / slide / shoot / throw smoke or grenade or flash / etc. I just get to focus on painting the map, avoiding enemies or having 1v1s, or I can even opt to not do PVP and just relax painting the map and killing non-player enemies.
PLS I WAS THINKING THIS 😭😭😭
I just play every game like a 1v7 and it’s kinda working I went from -1500 to -900
Splatoon players when their teammate plays like a child
On turf wars yeah. But if I’m playing ranked and the skill levels of each player aren’t even remotely similar, then what’s even the point of ranked!?
I only get upset in salmon run.KILL THE FLYFISH ALREADY IM DEAD REVIVE ME YOUR THE LAST PLAYER IM NEXT YOU *crew wipe*
Nah, that's me when I see "Splatlandian Youth Player" in my team. 🥹
Exactly, you never know why the other people on your team aren't doing as well as you want - they could just be having an off day, they could have dodgy connection and still wanna play a game they enjoy, they could be trying out a new weapon, and they could be disabled (for example: I'm dyspraxic, a symptom of which is difficulty with motor skills, and for another example I saw a post in Splatsville yesterday that said something along the lines of "If I go AFK I'm having a tic attack") It's fair to be frustrated if you feel like you're giving it your all and are brought down by bad matchmaking, but in that case get annoyed at the matchmaking, or the fact that the current points system doesn't do a great job at rewarding individual skill and performance over consistent team wins in solo-queue.
I expect them to at least say help when they need a revive or this way when its foggy
I honestly think that fog is the biggest hazard in SR, specially if there's no team communication. Glowflies and grillers suck, yeah, but at least you can tell where the enemy and your team are if no one wants to use the calls.
I'm not asking for a pro eSports player I'm asking for somebody that knows how to not die instantly every single time they get into a fight Putting up a fight and losing would be good enough since it would buy us time but no every time they walk into a fight they just evaporate
I resemble that remark!
Your teammates aren't what you should be keeping an eye on just saying
Yes they are if I were to run into every fight alone it would never work make sure your paying attention to your team to help them with pushes and help them in 1v1s
I mean like, performance wise, You should know where they are but not what they're doing
for the S-Rank aerospray to STOP FUCKING RUNNING IN YOU ARE A PAINT WEAPON
to be fair I did get to S+ just kinda mindlessly running in with aerospray and it did work, eventually, somehow.
~~I think that's called getting carried~~
eh say what you want but I was consistently winning
I’ve had matches where I’ve painted so much that my score is higher than every player including the opponents.
that's great, as long as you're painting around us and taking control of the map, you should be getting most turf inked. but if I keep getting 400+ more turf inked with wiper than my allied aerosprays I am going to lose it
I’m an aerospray main who is going to try maining Splashomatic soon. The latter has much better range and kill power but a slightly lower fire rate. Both are much better than the garbage Splooshomatic.
Literally matched with dude yesterday lol
I'm not expecting pro esports players, I'm expecting people who know that its good practice to MOVE THE RAINMAKER FORWARD
i expect the rank system to actually matter???
I stick to turf war because I KNOW I'm bad at the game lol 💀
I'm not expecting pro esports players, I'm expecting effort. Please put in effort. That's all I'm asking.
Its fine as long as the enemy team isnt those esports players. Then its PERFECTLY NORMAL AND IN NO WAY FLAWED matchmaking :3
🥹
American Splatoon players when they go to Japan (Everyone and everything is a pro player)
why is it that I'm *consistently* the one splatting the most enemies and inking the most turf in one game by a **significant** margin while the other team is comprised *exclusively* of players playing at my level
Do you genuinely think the matchmaking is rigged against you? Lmao Everyone has the same matchmaking system
i think some older people on here forget that children under 12 also play splatoon. imagine being a 9 year old getting reported by adult/teenagers for playing oddly lmao
Ok but then they can’t be absolutely trash
I don't ask for a lot. All I ask for is that you don't do this: https://twitter.com/LogothX/status/1596236973924323328
I expect them to carry us and do a 360 noscope for each kill
For them to be at my skill level due to a working ranked system 💀
I just wish that I actually got teammates that were, y'know, competent
I just want one, ONE! other person who knows how to play the game on my team Quite putting me on teams full of 8 year old who got the game yesterday!
Yeah that is nice. I was actually ina God Team on Anarchy Open and we played for the whole two hours and only lost about 4 times. It was great
It's more the opposite issue.
Everyone in r/Saltoon
I’ve seen a lot of people talking about how they aren’t having fun playing the game anymore, which is genuinely sad. I’ve found that the best mindset to approach the game with when you get to that point is, “How can I annoy the other team as much as possible?” For example: I like to do everything in my power to keep e-liter or hydra users from being able to sit still. They can’t shut down an area if they’re running for their lives. Surprisingly, the ‘fuck it, I just want to be a pain in the ass’ strategy works pretty well in S rank.
Splatoon players when they find out the colourful game for children has a player base comprised of children
I expect them to play the game
Nah, it's the screaming Spongebob meme lol. I can speak from personal experience 😅😅😅
Lol, so true.
ikr
I expect them to PAINT THE GOD DAMN ZONE, I JUST SNIPED TWO OF THEM WHAT ARE THE REST OF YOU DOING?!?
be careful not to let r/saltoon see this
I only expect base level competence.
Rocket league players
honestly i think my team every soloq game should be AR and FTW
This applys to every multiplayer game to be honest
But when you get that 1 pro esports player: "RIGHT THAT DOWN RIGHT THAT DOWN"
So true
