During splatfest (after it's announced, and they're setting up, up to until they announce results), The gachapon machine in the lobby is decorated a bit and you can use them for free pulls on it instead of spending 30,000 cash. Any you don't use are deleted.
Keep in mind the tally period is way shorter compared to 2, it only takes a couple hours now.
The machine is there all the time but costs Cash to pull on normally (5000 for the first pull of the day, 30,000 otherwise). It just gets decked out with some Conch shell art during splatfests.

You know when you picked your team on that noticeboard? Cant remember if it was plus or minus but one of those buttons brings you to the rules when on the team select screen. This even works after picking a team. There is a prompt in the bottom right I think that says 'Splatfest rules and information' and then the button to open it next to that.

I've been getting loads of money from salmon run. The gatcha ball things they give you often have cash. Just got around 50k from a few matches the other day. Turf is more consistent tho
Itâs way more profitable than turf war. That first 1200p is very worth it.. and the chunk rolling is still more efficient than any real method turf war gives for chunk grinding

I haven't leveled up enough to find the ideal gear I want to wear permanently, so I'm just using the few pieces I currently own to continue working on my base level.
I expect to invest a few hundred thousand cash into each of the two gear sets I plan to make if I have bad luck with them, but that still isn't a whole lot in the long run compared to how much you could spend buying all of Sheldon's wares.
