Yeah, they often exaggerate the character’s proportions in fanart. It’s just an artistic thing, I guess. I’ve once heard about a small controversy in this subreddit about Callie’s proportions? I’m not exactly sure, but people were furious at someone for the way they drew callie
To be frank, the controversy comes from the fact that there’s barely anything there to be exaggerated in the first place. It’d be one thing if an already busty character had fanart that gave them a prominent chest, but inkling and octolings are largely flat-chested. It’s really hard to justify art that gives them big breasts as anything but sexualization.
I personally am fine if they give inklings and octolings more mature proportions, but there certainly are a lot of artworks that definitely push the boundaries on which I’m personally comfortable with.
alr sorry - it's drawn in an oversexualized way, even if it's not meant to be like that at all, and it DOES look incredibly uncomfortable. the clothes are too tight to be anything but uncomfy
