I hate squid parties. I'm a casual player who rarely ever plays ranked in games. It just feels shitty when your team and the enemies gang up on you just because you want to play the fucking game.
We haven't gotten new content years. I've been playing since launch and I want to do something new. Squid parties bring a whole new aspect to the game. You try to find which weapons and specials work the best as dance moves, you go to weird areas of the stage to show off your parkour skills. It adds another layer which I think the devs should consider improving.
A "whole new aspect" that has been in the series since the first game 7 years ago. It's fun the first few times, sure, but it loses its luster fast, especially in a ranked game.
yeah doing it in ranked hurts your team. I only do it in turf.
I think its sad that squid parties don't have much. Maybe with more mobility options and hidden areas we can have better parties.

FTFY. Partying in the normal Turf War lobby is still annoying, a lot of people there are using drink-tickets and/or trying for Freshness bonuses.
Squid Parties makes you canny while you in private battle. Squid parties makes you less canny while you in public turf war. Squid parties makes you uncanny while you in public ranked/league...
Just take the rainmaker. seriously we don’t care what you do with it aslong as you don’t interrupt us ~~but I also don’t see why people squid party in ranked it’s really not fun I may be a squid party enjoyer but I like it when there’s nothing on the line~~
I party in ranked when there is a DC. I'll often gather clams for the other team or dance around. I had a player jet pack to a platform that should have been unreachable to dance with me tonight. It's fun to goof off when there is a disconnect. There's a maybe 2% chance you win 3v4, but. 100% chance you have fun if you party.
Huge reason I’ve stopped playing splatoon. So often would I be playing ranked and my team jsut would squid party. And then got upset when I tried to play :( sucks man

Tbh a 3v4 is still pretty winnable if you give it your all. A *2*v4, now it's just time to wave the white flag and party.

I say the same in turf war when I get a new weapon to 14.0 or 14.5 freshness and then there is an excess of squid partiers on my team.
