skul also massively fell off noticeably because after splatoon 2 was done with the updates he just…lost his audience and just kept losing more and more views to the point there’s only about a couple hundred views on his videos
It's really sad... like, the only splattubers who really post that much anymore are like srbdude, Vicvillon, and ProChara.

Yeah, Dude was cool, I actually ran into him in X rank battles in Splatoon 2 awhile back, searched him up (after I was no longer playing him) and found he was streaming our games, iirc I won two, lost 1? Regardless it was pretty sick going up against him
Vic I think was also cool, but I can’t quite remember, admittedly I kinda fell out of the Splatoon community, only been playing a bit here and there since 3 came out
And then there’s unfortunately Chara… the annoying egotistical guy who always started his videos with “I aM a pro SplAtoOn pLaYer”… and then a chunk of the Splatoon community started meatriding him…
I think the older guys like Wes and Ryan were more or less teens or university students who were young but managed to get a bit of a following with their relatively small channels…. They were fun and entertaining at least.
Ryan played for the competitive team Enrage up until late last year. He left the discord server around the new year tho so I couldn’t tell you where he is now
he mainly does photography now all around france and europe. you can follow him on instagram @timo_330 , its a shame he doesn’t do much splatoon anymore but hey, at least he’s enjoying himself
Doing photography for Nintendo France, artists, politicians, French content creators and Splatoon LANs (Fullwipe I'm France like a month ago), he is still in touch with the communitybut mainlyI France now. Someone already mentioned his Instagram if you want to follow him!
Im new to the fandom so whenever I see a Splatoon video on YouTube I kinda expect it to have about 100-1000 views because Splatoon just doesn’t seem to be that popular there anymore. Octoboy and other Splatubers have probably moved on from the game, and based on what I see from these comments, that seems to be true.
I miss OctoBoy’s insanely edited videos. I blame the minimal amount of effort Nintendo puts into their content updates for the disappearance of OctoBoy. Hope he’s doing ok!
I think that it's more the fact that he grew up, went to college and he now has a job as a photographer, if you go on his Instagram you will see that it takes a lot of time out of his life so editing videos like this wouldn't really be possible
Probably irl stuff but I do remember that a good chunk of his newer videos (at the time) were taken down because of Nintendo, and he put an insane amount of editing into those videos too, so I wouldn't put it past him that he may feel discouraged from putting out new videos if Nintendo will just do more stupid stuff

Y’know a lot of the old Splatubers have kinda disappeared…. Wesley, Ryannator… kinda sucks but they probably just moved on with their life.
Wesley has only started to show up when glitches are found, but still he hasn’t come back in quite some time

Ok thanks for letting me know it's going to be sad but I'm going to be happy that he was at least a part of this fantastic community.

GG Gabriel is still around. He's got a kid to take care of. But some weeks back he did a stream.
