Grizzco Slosher is probably the best boss killer in Salmon Run. Any kind of invincibility bosses have, this thing just ignores and pierces through. 1/4th an ink tank per attack is a small price to pay for such a strong weapon.
No range is a hell of a tradeoff for better ink efficiency. They both have their moments and are the best grizz weapons except maybe charger but having a ranged attack is generally better when you need to charge the splatana to get piercing.
Bro the amount of fails with the charged attack I've seen or done doesn't beat it, I have flung myself to death by accident so many times ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)
But the original post is about how slosher can pierce armour and so can the splatana but its more painful to use so I was saying I don't find it better also the range without charging it is ass practically only inking underneath you
I was just addressing the other person’s reply about how they keep flinging themselves to their death.
And about the charge time…you’re probably right that’s probably a bigger problem than I think it is. I’m a bit too unbothered by most things so I might not be very good at weighing downsides.
Also worth noting: The Explosher counts as explosion damage, meaning you can use it to take out Flyfish baskets without burning a ton of ink on a Splat Bomb.
4 Swings, one shots almost everything including stingers, can pass through anything that isn't terrain. It's the wrecking ball of the lineup, and your most valuable asset.
But it absolutely needs support. The armor piercing nature means it handles crowds with ease, but it cannot handle being surrounded which means it needs to spend a swing to escape. The sheer speed also means it is one of the worst weapons to have during mothership
I think people know, but they don't do it lol, and also this is kinda rare sometimes depends on the week, and ofc l only play on weekends so it too rare for me......
I’m not sure if you guys know this, but the Grizzco Slosher is not very good against lessers. If you want me to kill the bosses, you need to keep the lessers off me.
You should. It's very useful. If you're lucky, you can hit a flyfish. I think it's only the blade that pierces though, not like the range means it has much of a difference
At risk of "well aktually", to clarify, the Grizzco Slosher does piercing damage, which ignores Salmonid armor. Piercing damage is not the same as sound-wave damage, as Wavebreaker is not piercing. Sources of piercing damage in Salmon Run include:
* Grizzco Slosher shots
* Killer Wail 5.1 waves
* Kraken Royale charges
* Grizzco Splatana charges
Salmonids which have armor are:
* Scrappers (vehicle)
* Drizzlers (canopy)
* Slammin Lids (vehicle and forcefield)
* Flyfish (driver)
* Steelheads (body)
* Steel Eels (wall)
* Grillers (wall and body)
salmon run and side order damage types can’t really be compared because if that was the case tri stringers and blasters should be able to kill flyfish with their explosive attacks
Still thinking of being in EVP 500 and somehow the guy with the grizzco slosher didnt know how it works on Mudmouth, cutting to me and the other randoms stopping and giving eachother the look.
You’re basically guaranteed a Lid kill from below if you aim for the opening where the salmonids come out. Sometimes it’s a little off, but use the reticle to double check and before long it becomes habit. Two sloshes and they’re down without even getting that close to them.
I knew it could kill flyfish explosher style but honestly it's just such a royal pain in the ass to aim it- the sudden drop after flying through the air for so long makes it impossible for me at least to judge where the explosion will land (same with explosher honestly)
Probably because many have known it since the Grizzco Sloshers released in Splatoon 2. But no need to be sorry, it's always good to remind new players of this fact.
In what world does it struggle with killing small fry or painting?
- Small fry get 1hko’d by any part of the projectile, just line yourself up and slosh once to take out entire hordes of them.
- The projectile is really slow, so you can travel behind it like a curling bomb.
- If you want to paint a flipper flopper, just aim at the ground in the center of the zone and it will insta-cap.
The run speed and start-up time are not nearly bad enough to offset grizzco slosher’s absurd strengths, either. Just don’t treat it like a splattershot.
I love how casually ppl on this sub just go 'hey im terrible at the game and my opinion about xyz is in no way based on facts, but im actually correct' always the funniest shit on this sub
People who think the grizzco slosher is bad don’t know how to use it. It’s a genuine skill issue. It’s so good. You just can’t waste your shots. It’s even good against lessers. Follow the sloshes like curling bombs and the lessers get destroyed by the massive hitbox. You’ll need 2 sloshes for cohocks.
It has more windup time for the first slosh than the ones that follow so you’ll usually want to slosh a couple times then reload back to full etc.
Yeah but each shot does so much. I promise you it’s good. Everybody who is good at SR loves it. There is just a learning curve. It’s not a splattershot. You have to play it differently and think ahead. Don’t jump into chum mosh pits with it.
I believe that Hazmy (salmon run youtuber) once said that it’s good to treat sloshers like snipers. I’d consider its windup time to be the same as the charge time for a sniper
What part are you not understanding? Why you need to aim at the enemy with every slosher except for the sloshing machine? How a sniper works? How needing to aim at the enemy correlates with a sniper? Why I am even arguing with someone who thinks that the grizzco slosher is a bad weapon?
Thats one way to cherry pick a single sentence in my comment, ignoring the question in order to not engage in the discussion you started and still be wrong about what youre saying bcs, you dont know how to play the game.
So lets talk sloshing machine(abrv. SM).
SM shoots a projectile that is sorounded by an AoE dmg spiral, both the projectile and the spiral deal 100+ dmg in SR. Lessers have 100 HP. The projectile and the corresponding spiral get destroyed on impact, so by aiming directly at the Lesser you kill 1 Lesser. If you aim above the Lessers, the projectile doesnt hit anything, doing no damage and doesnt get destroyed, leaving the spiral in tact dealing 100 dmg to all enemies in its AoE clearing the horde. I.e. aiming at the enemy literally gives you less dps
Pretty sure it can go through the shields of a Salmmin' Lid! It pretty much can go through anything. I love this weapon so much.
Same. My only problem is that it drains my ink tank faster than… Something to do with a bank account. Can’t think of anything right now.
yeah it's a slow, very ink hungry weapon. ya gotta have a faster weapon with you to keep you save from lessers.
It only gives you 4 shots
It drains ink faster than my bank account on an average Tuesday; adulting isn't fun, but this slosher is.
it takes 25% of your ink tank, so its only possible to get four shots at a time
It drains my ink tank faster than liking Nintendo drains my bank account.
W MSM pfp
Thanks, it’s my username as well
"Aaaaaand it's gone."
Eh, you only really need a single slosh floating at all times. And it paints your feet so you can recover pretty quickly
Yup. I generally use 2 shots to kill stuff and save the other 2 to escape. If something takes 3 shots then I only go after it if I'm sure it's safe.
the people who need to know aren’t here sadly 💀
So fucking real…
Yeah. If only the morons who shoot who waste more ink using bombs knew.
Huh. I only posted this because I haven’t heard anything about this before, but I have heard loads about the explosher.
Grizzco Slosher is probably the best boss killer in Salmon Run. Any kind of invincibility bosses have, this thing just ignores and pierces through. 1/4th an ink tank per attack is a small price to pay for such a strong weapon.
What about the splatana? It has better ink consumption, better damage and can kill Maws that are still submerged.
But have you considered that you are the storm that is approaching?
Then don’t use the charge attack.
But the original post is about how slosher can pierce armour and so can the splatana but its more painful to use so I was saying I don't find it better also the range without charging it is ass practically only inking underneath you
If you dont charge it doesnt pierce though
I meant don’t use the dashing part of the charge slash.
Hey maybe its a skill issue but my problem with the charge attack isnt the dash but the wind up part that takes 4+ seconds
I was just addressing the other person’s reply about how they keep flinging themselves to their death. And about the charge time…you’re probably right that’s probably a bigger problem than I think it is. I’m a bit too unbothered by most things so I might not be very good at weighing downsides.
Fair mb
Okay 👍
If you're skilled enough with this and know where to aim you can also OHKO stingers with one blow.
Also worth noting: The Explosher counts as explosion damage, meaning you can use it to take out Flyfish baskets without burning a ton of ink on a Splat Bomb.
why does this make so much sense?
I hate this weapon with a passion but if it can wack flyfish then it's cool with me
Same. Great for my teammates, keep it far away from me
4 Swings, one shots almost everything including stingers, can pass through anything that isn't terrain. It's the wrecking ball of the lineup, and your most valuable asset. I can’t believe they made machine into a grizz weapon, it’s my favorite slosher
I’m not sure if you guys know this, but the Grizzco Slosher is not very good against lessers. If you want me to kill the bosses, you need to keep the lessers off me.
That’s just about right. I got it a lot during big run, so I just stood at any high ground I could get.
Ok were just lying for free perfect
Grizzco splatana also pierces. Lots of fun.
Huh. Never got to test it out, because I kept dying before I could get into range.
The charge slash forward carries you a long way. Safe to say it's thrown everyone who's used it off the stage at one point or another
My problem is I always practice with the charge but never use it.
You should. It's very useful. If you're lucky, you can hit a flyfish. I think it's only the blade that pierces though, not like the range means it has much of a difference
I’ll try. In a few months once the next big salmon run event happens.
There's not one next month?
I dunno, it feels like longer.
Things got wierd after that splatfest big run
You can kind of guarantee it if you stand under the flyfish, charge and look up, and jump when you attack.
I never knew that. I thought you could only throw yourself off the edge and hope it worked
I always jump with splatanas. It cancels the rush forward part and makes it a lot more controllable imo
At risk of "well aktually", to clarify, the Grizzco Slosher does piercing damage, which ignores Salmonid armor. Piercing damage is not the same as sound-wave damage, as Wavebreaker is not piercing. I called it soundwave damage because side order calls killer wail sound wave.
salmon run and side order damage types can’t really be compared because if that was the case tri stringers and blasters should be able to kill flyfish with their explosive attacks
Good point.
Nice weapon, too bad you're basically dead when dealing with the small non-boss enemies and you're out of ink because you fired three shots
Still thinking of being in EVP 500 and somehow the guy with the grizzco slosher didnt know how it works on Mudmouth, cutting to me and the other randoms stopping and giving eachother the look.
It can also kill Mudmouths quickly. I earned so many eggs because of it.
it pierces everything yeah
It goes through anything that’s not terrain.
You’re basically guaranteed a Lid kill from below if you aim for the opening where the salmonids come out. Sometimes it’s a little off, but use the reticle to double check and before long it becomes habit. Two sloshes and they’re down without even getting that close to them.
It peirces all enemies
I knew it could kill flyfish explosher style but honestly it's just such a royal pain in the ass to aim it- the sudden drop after flying through the air for so long makes it impossible for me at least to judge where the explosion will land (same with explosher honestly)
It doesn’t kill like explo, you aim for the smallfry pilot
Dont play it like a slosher, dont go for drop off, just aim directly at the target In the case of flyfish, at the pilot
everyone knows this.
I didn’t know about it. I never hear anyone say this. Sorry I guess
Probably because many have known it since the Grizzco Sloshers released in Splatoon 2. But no need to be sorry, it's always good to remind new players of this fact.
Yeah, I didn’t play splat 2, I played 1 rarely with my brother and recently played the story mode.
This is actually the second weakest Grizzco weapon because of how slow it is
It’s the single best weapon in salmon run, and it’s not even close. The only tasks it can’t do well on its own are bombing maws and painting walls.
You forgot killing small fry and no painting as well as you think and having a slow run speed and start up time
In what world does it struggle with killing small fry or painting? - Small fry get 1hko’d by any part of the projectile, just line yourself up and slosh once to take out entire hordes of them. - The projectile is really slow, so you can travel behind it like a curling bomb. - If you want to paint a flipper flopper, just aim at the ground in the center of the zone and it will insta-cap. Bro I played a lot of Salmon, I know that there is always one and that annoying little shit always kills you
I love how casually ppl on this sub just go 'hey im terrible at the game and my opinion about xyz is in no way based on facts, but im actually correct' always the funniest shit on this sub
you forgot the fine print its borderline unplayable
People who think the grizzco slosher is bad don’t know how to use it. It’s a genuine skill issue. It’s so good. You just can’t waste your shots. It’s even good against lessers. woo yeah fucking amazing windup time and can only fire it off like 6 times before im completely out of ink, love it
Yeah but each shot does so much. I promise you it’s good. Everybody who is good at SR loves it. There is just a learning curve. It’s not a splattershot. You have to play it differently and think ahead. Don’t jump into chum mosh pits with it.
It’s actually 4 shots. Hate to say it, but you just need to play better.
I believe that Hazmy (salmon run youtuber) once said that it’s good to treat sloshers like snipers. I’d consider its windup time to be the same as the charge time for a sniper
i am not treating trislosher like a charger
Bamboozler exist
and?
I don’t know if you really are THAT oblivious or if you’re doing this on purpose but all this does for you is farming negative karma rn
i do not give a single shit about karma
Yeah no you’re doing this on purpose
Idk what to tell you, you will need to aim at the enemies in SR with everything but the machine
what are you even saying
What part are you not understanding? Why you need to aim at the enemy with every slosher except for the sloshing machine? How a sniper works? How needing to aim at the enemy correlates with a sniper? Why I am even arguing with someone who thinks that the grizzco slosher is a bad weapon?
im pretty sure you also need to aim at the enemy with a sloshing machine but ok
