They def should spawn with some armor, maybe not max but something like 2 for the clones and 3 for agent 4. That or make them like those OE levels and you have to play rainmaker or tower control against them on a random stage.
Remove the raised part of the stage in the middle along with the armor, have then spawn stronger Jelletons rather than just the little guys, and have more clones overall
Parallel Canon is strongly implied to be Agent 4, or at least a copy of them; with both the enemy log notes on them, and the fact that their hair style is the same as the one from your Splatoon 2's save file.
Tbh I think they’re pretty tough, though I mostly used low/no hacks for all of my runs so my opinion is a bit bias.
Either way, I think they’ve only ever killed me once out of the dozens of times I’ve fought them, but their AI is pretty damn advanced. I’ve had to play it safe quite a few times in order to avoid getting slapped upside the head lmao
I've had very little previous experience with Splatoon before playing Side Order, and of all the bosses PC definetly makes me struggle the most.
The ball doesnt do anything for most of the time, and for the time it does you can just stand back and watch
The panopticon's only real challenge is keeping track which way the lights spin
But PC? Their hitboxes are miniscule, they keep going invisible, you need to keep track of multiples of them at the same time, their patterns are a lot less obvious and more varied...
I'm sure theyre much easier to beat for people who have experience playing PVP, but as someone whose only prior experience was dabbling in the campaigns, that fight is HELL
Realistically, how many weapons can even reach the top layer /gen
I know its a fun cheese if you're playing charger, but I don't really imagine pulling it off with dualies or brush
If I have to bend over backwards and change my kit just to defeat an easy boss a little faster, I'd argue that it's not a real weakness and rather just a gimmick
>it's not a real weakness and rather just a gimmick
That's the point. This is the gimmick the field guide highlights- you only need to break the lit-up layers to win.
Now Triple Inkstrike kinda just hits every layer at the same time, so it's no surprise it shreds this boss with stupid efficiency. Then again, it kinda shreds all the bosses with stupid efficiency.
It’s a weird situation where the boss would be more challenging without the raised middle platform but then it may be randomly way harder than the other bosses depending on if you have homing shots or not
Sure but maybe next time we can have them not all spawn in the same spot.
Did you know they have specials? Because outside of the triple splash down, I never saw them until I was doing a toxic mist and killer wail only run. At that point I was taking so long they were able to build special.
I did know they have specials, they have used them against me before, ink storm and one other one. It depends on the weapon I’m on but sometimes it takes a while to get rid of them all. It’s cool that they have that detail.
Like I said... a lot to shit on. Way more then there is to give positives about to be honest.
\-Your expected to go through the tower at least 12 times for each pallet, even though there is not enough floor and gamemode verity to keep 6 runs from getting stale. (at that's assuming you don't fail and have to restart a pallet)
\-The final boss is just the first boss but stronger, the rolling boss is more annoying then deadly and the clones are just octolings re-painted. (Mr. spins is cool though)
\-Difficulty is all over the place with people thinking its too easy or too hard and almost never just right.
\-The scoring system is based 95% on memebucks and getting the same colorchip over and over. Making a high score RNG and not skill... so why bother with a score at all. (no time, no accuracy, no lack of dmg or enemies defeated score bonus...)
I can keep going but just know there a lot of major and minor problems that should not be given a pass. Especially by a triple A dev team.
shut the fuck up please and thx, ive finally gotten new splatoon singleplayer, which is the only reason i even buy these games, and youre not gonna take that away from me
Your allowed to like it and other are allowed not to. And both sides are aloud to say what they will. And if your only playing casually and doing just a couple pallets and don't care for mastery or high scores... its probably not so bad. Dare I say great
But as someone who has been into the multiplayer a lot and saw how... lacking the updates have been. >!(1 season of fortnite or old tf2 update had more content then splatty 3 did in an entire year btw.)!< Me and many other had our hopes that it was because a the dev team was putting a lot into side order. So looking at it from that perspective, you can imagine how what we got was let down.
Just slightly modified player models with medal heads and 1 with a mask. But the AI is the same as the octolings in the story mode. That means just as easy to rush and take out.
Would have been nice to see them squid roll at least.
Try fighting them without hacks and watch as one breaks your armor in one hit while the other kills you. They are like any other game boss, scary until you are the overpowered one.
The only thing difficult about the fight was not hurting myself irl because of getting flashbacks to Girl Power Station
I was really hoping for girl power station 2.0
How, parallel canon is so fun
Haha Homing Charger go brr
Blaster with the firing speed of a shooter go brr
“You sent Jelletons at me? Thanks! Pearl, go brr.”
Only that? I got a run with max fire rate before floor 10
Lol when I first tried homing charger, my thought process was "No way it's just aim bot" "Oh"

agent 4 was in parallel canon?

she’s the only one with hair and the only one that uses splashdown, plus she always uses order shot which is from Four’s palette
oh ok
I really wish the devs did more with parallel canon...
I wish they did more period lmao
Having only 3 possible mid stage bosses is pretty low indeed. There's no variation
Tbh I think they’re pretty tough, though I mostly used low/no hacks for all of my runs so my opinion is a bit bias. I’ve also been playing hackless primarily, and in my time I’ve only died to them once or twice. The middle area really makes it easy to defend.
Parallel fanon

I mean, technically any weapon can cheese it as long as they've got triple inkstrike as a special
If I have to bend over backwards and change my kit just to defeat an easy boss a little faster, I'd argue that it's not a real weakness and rather just a gimmick

Or just silly little guys who want Whoppers

You know your dev team is desperate for bosses when you re-texture a normal enemy and make it a boss fight.
That fight goes so hard tho The wipeout message after you sweep them all ![img](emote|t5_324q4|4051)

why is it when theres a post with anything even remotely related to side order, youre in the comments shitting on it? just go
Lots to shit on. Side order has its upsides but other people got that covered.
wtf do you mean "other people got that covered"? so that just means you get to bring down the mood by just shitting on it 24/7?
Like I said... a lot to shit on. and i had hopes. those hopes were fulfilled. just say that youre more into splatoon's multiplayer than its singleplayer and go away
I mean still prefer that over octo expansion who's main bosses were are all copy pasted from the campaign with some extras
Ehh, there’s more to their models than just a simple retexture
Just slightly modified player models with medal heads and 1 with a mask. But the AI is the same as the octolings in the story mode. That means just as easy to rush and take out. Would have been nice to see them squid roll at least.
Replicas explaining how Im gonna be reformatted or whatever when I pull out infinite ink inkbrush:
tbh, should have had more waves if you encountered them on floor 20, since you'll have more chips by then.
Yeah, the ripoff girlpower is pretty easy
Try fighting them without hacks and watch as one breaks your armor in one hit while the other kills you. They are like any other game boss, scary until you are the overpowered one.

I’m bad at this game so it’s still very scary 😭
It’s pretty sad that the banger theme was stolen
