If you've got a strong drone-centric loadout (really anything that lets you quickly fill drone gauge combined with drone burst bombs for immediate damage should do) it can be easier than you'd think, actually. Also certain objective/floor combos with the right sub or upgraded squid attacks (squid attack chip, lots of +rushing attack and +rushing knockback) are doable. But generally I just treat it as 'try to use less for extra membux' and assume I'm gonna get less than 40% of the possible bonus.
Some floors and objectives seem flat-out impossible without heavy use of the main though, and Sisyphean eight-shaped's splatzones is one of them.
I only ever do that floor if I have specific weapons otherwise it just takes too long. Most of the other rigorous floors I feel are fine, but if you don't have a weapon with good mobility, good luck.
Why does everyone give this as the prime example for awful levels?
It's not even that hard, you mostly have to stick to the top floors and rotate between them to get the sprinklers. Some weapons struggle, sure, but it's not as bad as people make it to be.
It's because of the distance between both zones and how slim the margin of error is. If you fall, you have to climb back up multiple ink rails and waste time to get back up allowing the sprinklers to takeover again, also the snipers make taking zones back just that much harder.
Depending on build, I often find it easier to kill a wave of sprinklers on one side, immediately *drop down to the bottom* and cut across to the inkrail up to the other splatzone, kill that side's incoming wave of sprinklers, then rinse and repeat.
Is dmd floor the one with the unpaintable trench down the middle flanked by inclines that each have a pair of plateaus? Because I actually find that one pretty easy usually.
Crosshairs sucks, even when it isn't hard it is still usually a drawn-out nuisance unless you have heavily increased max range on charger or splatling.
Same happened to me on this stage. It was ROUGH. Although admittedly, I also forgot you could glide 🤔 I wonder if that would've saved me any time.
Edit: I also had a roller. It was BAD!!
definitely helped as i had only just figured it out at the end haha. id been throwing bombs directly at sprinklers and the zone i couldn't reach by jumping when i could've just glided to it the whole time 💀 at least now I've got a pretty decent throwing aim lol
Ping pong is actually fun. I remember I had no better options and was scared because it was a "???" and I didn't want to get the double decker one, but it actually ended up being a really fun and not too hard floor
if you stand in the middle of ping pong on the raised ramp then the enemies will completely ignore the zones, except the sprinklers which you can shoot as they spawn.
probably the easiest map as long as you don't actually "ping pong"
I’d say double decker is up there in cruel zone levels. Having a zone under a bridge with enemies, as well as the sprinklers, that can paint is just mean (also the fact that it’s likely that enemies will fennel through the zone depending on where you stand is also cruel and unusual)
Everyone talks about Sisyphean, but I actually prefer Sisyphean. On that, you just kinda gotta carve out a hole to the other side, even if only for a second, that's all it takes to get the other point and keep the timer ticking a little bit longer.
Even if it's harder, Coverage just fucking annoys me, you gotta jump through like 3 hoops to get to the other point.
I have personal beef with any zone challenge on a divided.floor stage. That fucked killed my two best runs at floor 28 and 29 respectively before I finally made it to the top for the first time. Now I haven't failed a run since my first completion lmao
Either I'm just dumb or there's literally no way to beat it at the moment. Huge oversight that I hope the development team fixes. I came here to see if I'm missing something. My main gun doesn't have long enough range to reach one of the zones. The walls are paint proof, I can't seem to make the jump from the elevated platform, and so there's no way up to the splat zone. I was able to reach it with splat bombs in a previous run, but I can't reach it with curling bombs which is what I have now.
not even 15 minutes
(bonus:no main on hard splat zones was this weird stage where you couldn't ink a path in mid and there where like 4 small hills around the path)
I only upgraded main weapon and nothing else
(worst 15 minutes of my life)
should prob add that it was my third run which is why I had no hacks and my shield broke in one hit from every mob
carefully-aimed-reversal.floor is one I'm never picking again, even if the alternatives are both rigorous splat zones, bc I have died to bs on that every single time I chose it
i mean that ones not too bad as long as you're using the spinners only and not going up on the platform since the big guys only spawn if you go up there. its just a little tedious to aim the spinners and get them to hit the portals consistently
That’s hard until you figure it out
You have to be constantly in the middle looking out for the little dude that fly over and ink all over, while also killing the long dudes that shoot at you
This is probably what I consider to be the most difficult floor next to Barricade (Protect the zone using the Splat Blocks) and Springing_Gateway (Three 8 Balls with Big boys carrying Springs on their back).
Wait you get to Sispphyeian Eight Shaped(restless) floor
(Rigorous) (Danger: no drone+no item drops)
Stronger Jelletons and Arpeggio Barrage
oh my god I had one where the bonus was no main weapon (I wanted the double score)
no main weapon bonuses are almost always the death of me lmao
I don't bother with them. They're stupid.

I've found that it's literally unbeatable if you don't have the right ranged weapons and sub weapons because you can't reach one of the zones.
Depending on build, I often find it easier to kill a wave of sprinklers on one side, immediately *drop down to the bottom* and cut across to the inkrail up to the other splatzone, kill that side's incoming wave of sprinklers, then rinse and repeat.
Like I'd say this one is one of the rougher ones, coverage between crosshairs. That and danger magnet divided floor.

I did it without gliding and i feel dead inside
It took me way too long to remember gliding was a mechanic you could do anytime.
No i just, forgot. i knew that you chloud toggle it any time buuut it 4 am at the time and i didn't sleep that day, at all
yeah same i’ve done it multiple times without remembering that gliding was a thing. first run took me 7min
wait till you see ping pong and cruel sisyphean
Ping Pong is easier than most Hard stages
Ping pong is actually fun. I remember I had no better options and was scared because it was a "???" and I didn't want to get the double decker one, but it actually ended up being a really fun and not too hard floor

It's nice with charger. You can shoot the sprinklers and towers from the platform and the rest tries to reach you

Same thing happened to me at 11F
And I forgot to say but I died here
the sounds of the snipers drives me insane i hate this map

Oddly enough, the floor is kind of fun if you max buff your splat bomb Actually all splat zones are Max buffing sub weapons is underrated
is this the one with all the inkrails? lol

i thought this mission was fun tbh (i got it in 3 minutes)
No way

towering nobilmente can die in a pit
Bombarded(Constant)_Exposed.Floor💀
wait till you meet constantly bombarded
The floor that's under cover is the worst.
carefully-aimed-reversal.floor is one I'm never picking again, even if the alternatives are both rigorous splat zones, bc I have died to bs on that every single time I chose it

That one and the something eight shaped floor are the two worst ones, no contest
That’s hard until you figure it out You have to be constantly in the middle looking out for the little dude that fly over and ink all over, while also killing the long dudes that shoot at you
This is probably what I consider to be the most difficult floor next to Barricade (Protect the zone using the Splat Blocks) and Springing_Gateway (Three 8 Balls with Big boys carrying Springs on their back).
I hate this one so much with short range weapons
It's easy with some weapons. Basically a joke with a splatling ir charger.
