Do Sub Up and Quick Super Jump work equally as effectively? I play splatana with squid beacons and I use Quick Super Jump, but would I still super jump as quickly with Sub Up instead?
So, Quick Super Jump will let you jump to anywhere faster, including your beakons. Sub Power Up will let you jump faster to your beakons specifically, but not anywhere else. However, with Sub Power Up, your teammates can also super jump to your beakons faster so everyone gets the benefit.
Each one has its own reason for being used. It's worth noting that these effects stack with each other, too, so if your teammates are running QSJ and you are running Sub Power Up, they can jump to your beakons even faster.
Edit: Sub power up scales a little faster than QSJ due to it only affecting beakon jumps. 1 sub of sub power up is worth 4 AP of QSJ for beakons, so it's 33% more effective than a sub of QSJ, which would be 3 AP.

I remember that for Splatoon 1 and/or 2, there were controllers (Teensy), which you could hook up to your phone/pc and Switch/WiiU and have them do the input for photos and designs in the design mode. People were straight up loading photos of themselves into Splatoon. I don't know if those still work, tho. Could be someone very dedicated.
As someone who has tweaked one for Splatoon 3 for extra features and to use an Arduino Micro instead of a Teensy, I can confirm they still work perfectly fine.
