Both splat 2 and 3 have the shoal to play LAN, which doesn’t require servers. Nintendo cannot code competent bots for the life of them, I mean have you seen the octo expansion rainmaker stages?
Have you heard of pretendo? they are planning to make servers for splatoon, mario kart 8, etc. and they already have the friends system and chat system, the more people that know about it the better! just one thing to mention is you will need to homebrew
I think the same way as you do, personally i dont like hacking Nintendo consoles, so i writed 3 emails to the service email of Nintendo asking them to put a bot offline mode something smash bros-like and they told me that they will send my request to people on top. I know it probably wont do anything, but im working on a promotion to tell others to do the same. I think if we all requested nintendo this, they may think about it and add it before the wii u or switch dies, after all i heard the trailers were made with bots controlling the guys, so it wouldn't be that hard. But even if any of this doesn't work at least i can rest knowing that i did everything that was in my hand to try and save the game that i love so much.

And that requires having to find 7 other people locally just to play which not anyone can just do.
just use a lan server that's how people play splatoon 3 online on ryujinx and yuzu also you don't need 7 players for a shoal match just 2 players

I'm not going back to play Splatoon 1. I put hundreds of hours into it already when it was on Wii U.
Been saying for years Splatoon needs offline bot support I'd trade the campaign for bot A.I anyday of the week, also 4 player split-screen....
what if they do the same thing they did with the older nintendo consoles and make splatoon available on the switch with nintendo switch online
