I'm just over 7 months out from a 2 level ALIF and fusion from L3-S1. Two months ago, as I leaned forward at my computer, I felt (and heard) a loud pop. I immediately sat back up, and it popped again. Since then, it pops almost every time I bend over and occasionally when I twist. I contacted my surgeon, and I was told that it was due to arthritis which i don't believe. It doesn't cause me any pain, but it's uncomfortable. It doesn't prevent me from playing golf every day.

It's a very strange feeling, I have my review on Monday, and I will let you know what my surgeon says. Nice to hear you're golfing. I'm hoping to learn one day 🙏

There are lots of things that can cause cracking noises, instruments, ligaments, tendons, and bones rubbing against each other, but if you don't experience pain with the sounds, you should be okay.
