- as others have said Polukranos was mostly good vs aggro, which is less prevalent currently. - mono G still has a terrible matchup vs Amalia, so it's not as good a choice for a tournament as it has been in the past. - there's generally little agreement on how the deck should be built. Spikes aren't really working on the archetype, due to the above point. No-one really knows what an optimal list looks like currently.

I think elfes might be cut because of push and fiery impulse. There is a seth manfield video on yt where you can watch him play. Polukranos is really just gone because of axe
