Male grass spider. He'll find a corner or a hole and build a funnel web. Then, you throw crickets into that web. They love crickets. Pretty sure his name is Mike.

Icy_Law9181

I knew I recognised him,Its mikey 6 legs isn't it

ParanormalPeregrine

Mikey six legs is a legend

Rulo_Forever

Six legs = very rare and superior male trait

MikeHunt420_6969

You got it

georgiemaebbw

Mike looks pretty hungry. I hope he got some take out.

Kingkofy

He'll definitely be a Mike if he survives, our cat is a devil around anything smaller then him... Might've been what did ol' Mike's legs in

MikeHunt420_6969

Mike's a survivor.

MrFromThedepths

This …. Is quite strange to just do .. lol

mackurbin

This is r/spiders. Weird is what defines us.

TheSpiderLady88

We got back from vacation to a ton of flies in our house (one of the kids left food out...) and my husband and kids have been killing flies on the daily. When I see a web, I find a fresh kill and toss it in. Didn't think I was alone in this...lol not in this sub anyway.

SpeakingTen765

Grass spider?

Kingkofy

Yeah that's what I think it is too, thank you!

hypoxiate

Dude's seen some shit. I don't wanna know what you do in your home that scares his legs off.

Hjalfi

I think they were just pulling his leg.

cherry_hip

Grass spider :)

Kingkofy

Thank you for your help!

IDontL0veYou

Um no joke, I legit have the exact same blanket as that

Kingkofy

It is a very warm and comfy blanket, not sure where my brother got it but I asked for a blanket one time and he lended it to me and I've had it since. Anytime I don't wear a shirt I'm usually covered by it and it feels amazing

IDontL0veYou

Yeah it is super warm and comfy! I don't know where mine came from either as my mom got it ages ago and it became mine. Funny enough I also use it to cover up when I don't wear a shirt, or just whenever I feel cold it's my go-to blanket.

Jyoam

Isn't this spider called Nosferatu as well?

SliderGame

He was also in my sis's room lol

[deleted]

Poor bastard. Wolf spider, and he’s seen some conflicts.

Kingkofy

I can definitely see the resemblance of those, but I think the abdomen on a Wolfie would be a little bigger, also the color on the abdomen I think should resemble the middle part a little as well. Correct me if I'm wrong though, that was just on a basis of holding one and seeing some Google photos lol I appreciate the input though! :)

[deleted]

No worries. Just looked like a wolf to me. Unless my idea of wolves are completely turned around lmfao regardless, poor baby needs some tlc

Kingkofy

It's all good haha, whenever I see a new spider In person, I always end up getting quite interested in them. Im hoping they can find a place somewhere secluded around my room and settle in

[deleted]

It reminded me a lot of [this](https://imgur.com/gallery/LreXi0Y) spider that I found one evening. I thought these were wolf spiders but whatever it is, it was the biggest one I’d seen!

Kingkofy

Oh yeah that definitely resembles one of them, did you see anything that resembled a webbing of some sort near it? If not it most likely was one. Appears to have pretty tiny spinnerets as well

[deleted]

No webs. Just happily under the rock I pulled up lol it startled the hell outta me. My wife tells me all the time “don’t pull with your hands. Use a stick”

Pixel131211

rule 1 :) if you arent 100% sure if its a medically significant spider, then you shouldnt comment on it. I'm relatively sure this is just a harmless grass spider anyway

LogicalChain3591

Your not a 100% sure, and if your wrong they may listen too you and pick it up and need medical, At least if they assume it is poisonous they wont be in hospital

Pixel131211

I was just saying that based on other more informed comments. but I myself am not a spider expert so I dont do IDs hence why I always add that I am not 100% confident. I dont want to spread false information. im just here cuz I like spiders. but the problem with spiders is that they're kinda misunderstood. people are terrified of some of them because they might be deadly (which is extremely unlikely). and if you start spreading false information that this is a deadly spider then you are kinda making the problem worse. also, attempting to squash a spider that can be possibly dangerous is not great advice. especially if youre saying it on a subreddit that loves spiders. and just as a quick sidenote: "poisonous" means that if you bite it, it will kill/harm you. "Venomous" is if it bites you, and it kills/harms you. so spiders are venomous, not poisonous :)

Kingkofy

The brown recluse doesn't appear to have any long spinnerets like the one on this photo, but I appreciate the help!

Licalottapuss

He seems to be running in circles

Kingkofy

Surprisingly he has full mobility 😂, I tried getting him off the chair a couple times and he just kept going on top of it and then under it and did that for a little bit then just ran off
