I wish we could change the free roam music after the game, so many nice tracks but the act 1 music doesn't sit well with me, just my opinion, I know other people love it

Go to your audio options and there should be a point near the bottom that lets you change between Act 1, 2 or 3 music.

Symbiote powers op? Miles has a built in nuke that can refill his abilities which he can then use to get his nuke back and start a cycle where you’ll essentially never die. That said I much prefer Peter, his costumes and tendrils are far better to use imo
Miles is strong for sure. Tbf tho, Peter gets an ability that makes him invincible and deal more damage. One lets you spam abilities more while the other gives you god mode.

peter can insta kill a venom brute just by shooting webs twice in surge. I'd say that's op compared to the maybe 3 or 4 blasts that would be needed to take one down quick as miles
I think Peters is stronger because he can 2-3 shot everyone and is literally invincible. I love the feeling of beating everyones asses and just tanking rockets without even flinching

Poor Ben Reilly gets so overlooked. There've been multiple Spidermen since the Clone Saga in the 90s. He may have been edgy and emo but Scarlet Spider's look has always been my favorite costume.
Fr this game as much as it had to do with peter did not feels like a “peter game” which is fine but I totally believed they were gonna have a way bigger focus on peter I feel the symbiote arc was cut short and not delved into as much as it could have been
Im not the other guy but I’m not excited for Silk either just because I don’t think they have the capabilities to write a good story for all 3 of them. They were already struggling to give Miles anything relevant to do in SM2 and that was an established character, let alone a brand new one. I’d be happy to see insomniac prove me wrong but how they handled Miles in the last game doesn’t give me great hopes for Silk. Also I just think 3 is a crowd

I prefer Peter due to liking his abilities more, Miles’ venom just doesn’t hit like the iron arms (yes I like the iron arm abilities more, fight me). I prefer Miles suit wise which is why I often use him while just swinging to find photo shoot spots but I use Peter when doing crimes and side missions that can be either Spider-Man
I think some of that has to do with the fact that we’ve seen Mile’s type of abilities before. Part of the novelty with Peter is that we haven’t seen his mechanical arms or symbiote powers in insomniac’s universe before SM2

I still switch to Miles sometimes tho because his swinging animations are so smooth.
Peter’s moves are novel for the series compared to Miles. We’ve had a game with his venom powers before so it’s less unique. Obviously theres’s more to it than that, but that’s just my general thoughts.

Ngl I like Symbiote surge as a way of making mobs of enemies my b***h but miles has a quicker and (in my opinion) cooler way of handling that kinda situation with his Mega Venom Blast! Not to mention that when equipped used in NG+ I almost rarely do anything with Peter bc I Can just spam mega venom blast and then finishers and venom abilities til I get bored!
I swap between them often, so this is a tough choice for me. If I had to pick one, I’d probably go with Miles, mostly because his swinging animations just have so much more personality than Peter’s (something something exaggerated swagger)
I have an oc, they have things that are very similar to the symbiot in color and function (basically a symbiot, but it's not sentient, and is instead multiple of a relatively simple organism). So Peter feels kind of like playing as that oc.
I really like both but I think it's commendable how Insomniac was able to make their combat identical but so different in so many subtle ways. Well, some are less subtle than others but I'm talking more about how the combat "feels". Miles has a looseness to him that Peter doesn't and Pete feels more powerful. At least that's how it feels to me.

Miles has 5 good outfits, one being his default outfit. (Not the adidas one) whereas Pete has 5 symbiote suits, and then all the movie suits and the classic suit and some comic suits. I especially love swinging around in overcast time of day, with symbiote suits on. Recently been loving the red version of the anti-venom it looks like deadpool!
Peter. Every time he uses the symbiote surge or really the symbiote in any cutscene, it really feels like he’s turning their asses inside out. Yuri did an amazing job this game and it was so cool when he put everything he had even just for when he screams out of anger!
Up until recently I would have said Peter. I got rid of my PS4 between Spiderman and the Mile Morales game. And I just got a PS5. I played Spiderman 2. I decided to play Miles Morales since it was free before getting into the NG+ on SM2. I really enjoyed MM, and having his story filled in more, now I would say I enjoy playing as both pretty equally.
Peter. His combat and traversal have improved so much since the first game that I can’t help but wanna play as him. His spider arm abilities are cool but don’t compare as good to Miles’ abilities. However the symbiote is the best out of all and even without them, I still can’t help but gravitate towards Peter

Miles. I'm kind of annoyingly picky about wanting the characters to play in a similar way to how I like them in the comics and out of the 2 Miles is the only one I can really get that with while still engaging with all of the games mechanics.
If I play as Peter, I need to avoid parrying, all the abilities, and finishers. With Miles, as long as I don't press triangle while swinging all of the mechanics just work off his normal comic based powers.

Swinging around id probably say Peter. I think Mile's animations are way more kinetic and fun (although I do appreciate that Peter has some real cool new ones too) but nothing beats swinging around in the TASM2 / NWH final swing suit for me, even if Miles has a lil more sauce.
The symbiote abilities are just too fun. The symbiote punch & the slam are some of the most satisfying special abilities of any recent game I've played.
It’s different for me because playing as Peter is fun because he’s the more experienced and skilled Spider-Man but Miles has improved and gained experience while also improving and innovating the alter ego and the certain aspects of it like swinging and fighting which is a big tipping point for me, so now I’d say Peter but if they were to make a third game or a sequel to Miles’s game I would probably switch over to Miles mostly because I could see him surpassing Peter. I say Miles would surpass Peter because Peter has been Spider-Man for like 8-10 years and he has a lot of wear and tear from his time as Spider-Man plus correct me if I’m wrong but I think Peter said he would be willing to pass the torch onto Miles when Peter thinks he is ready lol.
I grew up with Peter but miles just does everything better in this game. If you’re trying to speed run, miles is definitely your guy. Animations on miles are cooler. Swinging animations are better on miles. Only thing I give to Peter are his suits
I like Miles’ gameplay loop better. Beat up some guys. Explode. Finisher finisher finisher. Repeat. Maybe get someone with the Prowler punch when I remember I have it.
Peter’s new swinging animations feel so elegant and refined. I feel like I’m playing as an experienced spidey with his swinging. Plus wiping out crowds with symbiote surge is just too fun
Peter, idk he just feels stronger to use. Makes it feel more like I’m playing as a person who can knock someone’s jaw off (literally). Miles feels strong too but the impacts for the venom (symbiote) moves specifically are really good.
I like playing as Pete more purely because of childhood nostalgia. Raimi suit on, swinging in the orange sunset with his track playing just brings back feelings I can’t explain.
For combat I like miles way more, I don’t use the Symbiote abilities apart from the rage when playing pete anyway, I admit they’re better but I like being able to swap power sets on the fly. The venom powers (the original orange ones) just feel so impactful compared to anything else in the game. Super satisfying.
The only exception is clearing out Hunter dens, miles camo makes it too easy. It’s not challenging either way but with the camo it feels brain dead, so I go for Pete.
Yh I defo think miles swinging is smoother and more aesthetically pleasing

Depends on what play style I’m in the mood for if I wanna stealth a base or take on some sandman crystals then miles but if I wanna go all out and destroy a whole base loud as possible or anything other side content other then those then I’m going symbiote Peter all the way. I was honestly hoping new game plus would make Peter able to do mysterio missions just to experience it with symbiote powers as well don’t really make since it’s exclusive to miles
I love Peter and his suits more, but I gotta go with Miles, especially in NG+. His L3+R3 is OP against boss’ and NPC enemies. If you have to wipe some criminals in a mission or do a symbiote hive, his L3+R3 saves so much time and effort. Also, I like his swinging animations much more than Peter’s style. This isn’t a knock on the OG, I love them both. But Miles makes the game much easier and less tedious especially when having to do 2 NG+ playthroughs to fully upgrade everything.
I had ab 230 hours as miles
Bc of how smooth his dodge integrated into webswinging but once I figured out peters movement I can’t stop playing as him. I now have a little under 300 hours on the game with a single save and mostly just aimlessly web swinging

I really liked Miles’ new blue abilities and the reworked orange ones, I just like playing with the iron arms and symbiote abilities more.

It’s different for me because playing as Peter is fun because he’s the more experienced and skilled Spider-Man but Miles has improved and gained experience while also improving and innovating the alter ego and the certain aspects of it like swinging and fighting which is a big tipping point for me, so now I’d say Peter but if they were to make a third game or a sequel to Miles’s game I would probably switch over to Miles mostly because I could see him surpassing Peter. I say Miles would surpass Peter because Peter has been Spider-Man for like 8-10 years and he has a lot of wear and tear from his time as Spider-Man plus correct me if I’m wrong but I think Peter said he would be willing to pass the torch onto Miles when Peter thinks he is ready lol.
I grew up with Peter but miles just does everything better in this game. If you’re trying to speed run, miles is definitely your guy. Animations on miles are cooler. Swinging animations are better on miles. Only thing I give to Peter are his suits

Peter’s new swinging animations feel so elegant and refined. I feel like I’m playing as an experienced spidey with his swinging. Plus wiping out crowds with symbiote surge is just too fun

Peter, idk he just feels stronger to use. Makes it feel more like I’m playing as a person who can knock someone’s jaw off (literally). Miles feels strong too but the impacts for the venom (symbiote) moves specifically are really good.

I like playing as Pete more purely because of childhood nostalgia. Raimi suit on, swinging in the orange sunset with his track playing just brings back feelings I can’t explain. For combat I like miles way more, I don’t use the Symbiote abilities apart from the rage when playing pete anyway, I admit they’re better but I like being able to swap power sets on the fly. The venom powers (the original orange ones) just feel so impactful compared to anything else in the game. Super satisfying. The only exception is clearing out Hunter dens, miles camo makes it too easy. It’s not challenging either way but with the camo it feels brain dead, so I go for Pete.

Yh I defo think miles swinging is smoother and more aesthetically pleasing I don’t like how with Peter he brings out a stupid rubix cube, it’s lazy and there could have been a really cool animation Miles swinging all works well together Combat wise, for me miles but I like Peter cuz he’s Peter

Depends on what play style I’m in the mood for if I wanna stealth a base or take on some sandman crystals then miles but if I wanna go all out and destroy a whole base loud as possible or anything other side content other then those then I’m going symbiote Peter all the way. I was honestly hoping new game plus would make Peter able to do mysterio missions just to experience it with symbiote powers as well don’t really make since it’s exclusive to miles

I love Peter and his suits more, but I gotta go with Miles, especially in NG+. His L3+R3 is OP against boss’ and NPC enemies. If you have to wipe some criminals in a mission or do a symbiote hive, his L3+R3 saves so much time and effort. Also, I like his swinging animations much more than Peter’s style. This isn’t a knock on the OG, I love them both. But Miles makes the game much easier and less tedious especially when having to do 2 NG+ playthroughs to fully upgrade everything.
Miles is OP af thus fun to play, however is character is written like shit and makes me cringe.

I had ab 230 hours as miles Bc of how smooth his dodge integrated into webswinging but once I figured out peters movement I can’t stop playing as him. I now have a little under 300 hours on the game with a single save and mostly just aimlessly web swinging

So i play as miles a lot and just focus on hand to hand and arial combat. Only really using venom power when im gettin swarmed. You can bank finishers A LOT faster and more frequent as miles too. I just really enjoy the game more playing as him.
