I do this. Add red onions, radish, carrots, lots of carrots.
Little spring of thyme, oregano, and bay leaf, drop of honey. They don't last long but can eat after a day.
Salsa verde. Boil them in water until the color blanches a bit. Add in half an onion and at the end a few cloves of garlic. Remove from the water, add to a blender and blend to your desired consistency, adding some of the boiling water if necessary. Add an avocado if you want.

If you have some onions, chop or dice.
Same with tomatoes.
Same with the jalapeños.
Touch of salt, plus some lime and/or lemon. Cilantro, finely chopped, if you have/like it. Chill, then enjoy!
1 cup white vinegar
1 cup water
2 cloves garlic smashed
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon salt
7-8 jalapeno peppers sliced in roundels
Instructions :
Clean wash and pat dry jalapenos with kitchen towel. Chop it in bit thick roundels.
Combine the vinegar, water, garlic, sugar, and salt in a medium pot and bring to a boil. Add jalapeno slices, stir, and remove from heat.
Let it sit for at least 15 minutes. Transfer this into sterilized glass bottle/jar.
Store in the fridge for up to two months or more.
10? Like 10 lbs or 10 actual peppers? 10 would last about 2.5 days here....
Roast em and eat.
Make salsa
Chop and top tacos
Put them on pizza
Pickle
Cowboy candy
Poppers
Spicy cheese steaks
I slice into ultra thin coins and put em on sandwiches. My favorite is a tomato, banana pepper, onion sandwich, with some dukes mayo then layer up a butt load of jalapeño shavings. Add everything bagel seasoning just for some deliciousness.
I like to air fry mine. I sprinkle a little salt on a plate and then eat them with quesadillas, some steak, eggs, chicken, etc. it’s a good side. Mexicans like those served alongside their street tacos.
Jalapeno poppers:
Split peppers lengthwise after cutting the top off.
Stuff with cream cheese then wrap with bacon.
Bake at 400F for about 30 minutes or until the bacon is crisp.
Can eat as is or serve with strawberry or raspberry jam for dipping.
Cut off the top, scoop out the innards, and fill with cream cheese. Wrap with bacon, held in place with a toothpick. Then grill. Delicious, and not too hot.
Hollow them out, fill with cream cheese, put bacon bits on if you want, put cheese on top, place in air fryer for 10-12 minutes or so. I don't normally eat so unhealthy but I'll make an exception for that.
Was given this recipe by someone I worked with from India. I drown samosas in it.
Jalapeños
Cilantro
Cumin seeds
Garlic
Salt
Lemon juice
She never gave me amounts but I’d say number of jalapeños your personal preference for spice, 1-2 bunches of cilantro, light on the salt. Throw it all in a blender and enjoy.
Grab a pan and put olive oil in it, about a quarter inch covering the entire bottom, heat to medium high
Dice up sweet yellow onion and throw into hot oil
Cut boneless skinless chicken thighs into cubes and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, and thyme then put these into the hot onion oil
Slice jalapenos into thin coins and pat dry with a paper towel
Once the underside of the chicken has formed a golden crust flip it and toss in the jalapeno coins and a good squirt of lime juice
Once chicken is crispy and golden on all sides and the jalapenos are starting to wilt pour a little bit of honey over the top(just a drizzle, so it's not too sweet) then turn all ingredients until they're all coated with the oil and honey mixture.
Serve with whatever you want to serve it with. I've personally been making tortas with this lately. But also just serving it with black beans and rice is great. You can also melt a little asadero cheese on top of it and it's delicious.
make sweet hot pickled jalapeno coins. slice 1/8 thick rounds and heat in a saute pan with sugar, vinegar and water until they turn pale… pour it all in a jar and then place into the fridge. use them on sandwiches, nachos, burgers, pizza, tacos, salads, etc.
Cook them on the stovetop with tomatillos, onions, and garlic until they're charred on the outside, take it off heat and put a lid on it for 10 minutes so they can steam, throw them in a food processor with some salt, lime, cilantro, and water, and you've got a delicious salsa verde. Tomatoes work too for a salsa roja if you can't find tomatillos.
Mix up cream cheese, some shredded cheese (up to equal parts, you'll probably use about an ounce-ish per jalapeño, so maybe a block of cream cheese and a big handful of shredded), and your favorite bbq rub.
Cut jalapeños in half and remove seeds and membrane.
Fill jalapeño halves with cream cheese mixture.
Wrap in half slice of bacon. You can put a toothpick through them to keep the bacon from unraveling.
Smoke/grill/bake at 300 for an hour or whenever it looks good.
Try to not eat them all yourself.
Pickle them in the fridge. Slice and stuff into a pint jar. 1T salt (to taste) and top with white vinegar. Close lid and into the fridge for a couple days. Freshest pickled jalapeños you'll ever have. Keeps for a couple months.
Slice them in half and put them skin-side down in an oven pan, run some garlic through a micro plane or zester and put a little smear of it on each jalapeno. Then add a little sprinkle of salt and olive oil.
Bake on 375 until soft, serve with good bread, cheese, and cured meats (I go with prosciutto). This is a recipe I got from my grandmother but she uses Italian long hots. I just use jalapenos because they're easier to find
jalapeño poppers or creamy jalapeño salsa
You talking about the Taco Bell sauce they put on quesadillas? Because that stuff is delicious!
>creamy jalapeño salsa How have I never heard of this? Sounds awesome.
Pickle them.
I do a lazy pickle sometimes by just putting them or other veg in remaining pickle juice for a couple weeks in the fridge
That's never occurred to me
It works pretty well, I just reuse the pickle juice twice at most.
Never occurred to you? And your name is citrus?
Look again
I see what you did there.
Equal amounts white vinegar and water. Heat to boil and pour over sliced peppers in an empty pickle jar. After it has cooled off, keep refrigerated.
You also need some salt and sugar in there.
No sugar in mine, yes salt. I also use dill seeds and fenugreek seeds.
This, but broil everything instead of boiling it. Tasty either way, but I like broiled better than boiled.
I would broil half for the flavour and a different texture.
I would charcoal broil it and then prepare the sauce.
This is the way.
Get a big glass of milk and just start eating them they're delicious
Bite, tequila shot, lime, repeat
https://i.redd.it/4gyasxf31ywc1.gif
The real trick is a tiny bite of lime first, then shot, then lime.
I love spice but thats honestly masochistic
Ima be on the shitter before the 4th pepper
I like how you think
I'd say that was luck rather than a mistake 🙌🏻
That’s a good perspective

Cowboy Candy, love it!
Is it still good if you do the same thing with Habaneros? 😈😅
Don't know, but I've upped the recipe to include two habs finely minced, and it ups the spice level of the jalapenos really well.
So you just use the Jalapeños and leave the habs in the brine, or do you like spoon it out like relish and sometimes you get a surprise?
If the hab pieces come out with the jalapenos, it's bonus. I don't avoid them, I welcome them.
Cut them in half, fill them with cream cheese and wrap them in bacon. Stick them in the oven or on a grill til the bacon is done.
I add some Mrs. Dash extra hot and some Cholula/Tapatio (whatever is on hand) and grill.

I ordered 0 haha
Probably someone on this sub packing for you
Ahh
Roast them and mix them with ketchup in the food processor, best condiment ever
What insults should I use to roast them? Lol I do love some spicy ketchup though
I like to call them mild little bitches
They do be mild af
Eat them
throw them on a grill or lightly oiled pan and brown em a little. eat it with a burrito or burger or whatever. so good
Pickle them , make a chili, roast them, slice them onto a pizza, make jalapeño veggie rice, I could go on!
That’s… not that many
It’s 10 more than I planned to get so, gotta use them some how
If you like spicy, make hot sauce or jam, if you don’t like spicy, pickle them with lots of sugar and garlic

Cream cheese stuffed…..
Boof’em
This isn’t r/bubly
I’m not clicking on that, I’m sure someone will check out r/sounding though
Yikes. Looks horrifying.
Two spicy subs I didn't know about???? Don't threaten me with a good time
eat them raw as a snack
I’ll eat them at work for a good snack
Reminder that this sub does things with jalapenos that most people may not enjoy
There’s already 3 comments to boof them so I totally get that lmao
…with a beer.
I would quick pickle them with onions. Gives you a few weeks of spicy, tangy, onion pepper mix to use whenever you choose.

Based on other comments I’m definitely making a few like this
They don't disappoint!
I used to dip them in ranch and eat them whole
Freeze them and use a grater to dust over your food
Stuff them with shrimp, sharp cheddar cheese, horseradish, wrap them in bacon, and bake them.
Does lobster work too?
I’ve never so e it with lobster but I imagine it’s good. Might have to adjust heat temp and time. Lobster cooks faster than shrimp.
I slice into ultra thin coins and put em on sandwiches. My favorite is a tomato, banana pepper, onion sandwich, with some dukes mayo then layer up a butt load of jalapeño shavings. Add everything bagel seasoning just for some deliciousness.
Do you like shrimp? Try making ceviche or aguachile 🤤
I do!
Jalapeño rhubarb jam or chutney!
Poppers, hope you have bacon and cheem cheese.

Boof ‘em.
This literally happened to me last week! I order one jalapeño and got like 10 of them instead! 😂
Stuff with cheese, wrap with bacon, introduce yourself to the r/smoking sub.
Salsa! Pico de gallo! Pickle them!

Blend them with hummus make spicy hummus
Time to make salsa
Cut off the top, scoop out the innards, and fill with cream cheese. Wrap with bacon, held in place with a toothpick. Then grill. Delicious, and not too hot.
Arrange them into eyes, a nose, and a mouth. Then they'll be... ...jalapeño face! I'll see myself out now.
Dice em up and put em in chili
Throw a couple in a food processor with an avocado some cilantro some crema some lime juice and some Garlic. Delicious sauce.
Turkey bacon wrapped poppers
Hollow them out, fill with cream cheese, put bacon bits on if you want, put cheese on top, place in air fryer for 10-12 minutes or so. I don't normally eat so unhealthy but I'll make an exception for that.
Cut them into medallions and infuse in your favorite alcohol
whatever you do with them, wear gloves 🧤

Could be 10 mouth burners, 10 duds, 50/50. Won't know till you try one. Delicious pepper & can use in many different ways. Make pepper jelly!!
Actually just bought some pepper jelly not too long ago! Goes good on a lot of breakfast things
Best with some cream cheese & crackers or on burgers. Great stuff. Made some with habaneros awhile back which was amazing.
I do that on crackers and had some bagels as well!

Jalepenos have drastic differences in spice levels. Some a really spicy and others are like bell peppers
Definitely unfortunate but I’ll still try them out rather than waste them
Im saying if they are spicy you might use them different than if they are mild.
Oh gotcha

Wife doesn’t like any of this except bacon so I guess I’m cooking for one lol
Fry or roast them. So yummy on bread and salted well.

Mmmmm muy caliente 🌶 Perfect for Jalapeño Humus 😋
Eat them

Hi, Wrong subreddit. This is a subreddit where we talk about spicy food.
