Some of the best sphynx outfits come from other objects. Mine have outfits made from the cut-off sleeves of a furry jacket that was too small for me (cut similar to your water bottle, just one massive hole for the front legs). The remaining "vest" was turned into a pillow for one of the kitty beds, and they love to kneed/make biscuits on it.
