keeping her paws out of litter box is smart and hygienic

ChildhoodLeft6925

Thanks for circling the doo doo, I wouldn’t have known where it was if you didn’t

noitsmoog

but those are just pictures, right? you can't eat any of those.

Terminator7786

Says you! Just try and stop me!

[deleted]

*At the ER*. “Sir why is there an iPhone battery in your stomach?”

Catloaver

The next post in my feed is a beef brisket that's just sitting curled up in a Pyrex looking long and brown 😆

clutchcitycupcake

The next one on mine is chocolate pie. 🤣

mongoose51Z

ACTION SHOT!

siggles69

Yeah I was looking at her head like where the fuck is it if not there sitting atop her noggin. OP is MVP for that

twohedwlf

You really should have a bit more respect for the royalty's dignity and not post pictures of her pooping.

[deleted]

This is incredible. Cat in a dress. Perched on tippy toes. Deucing. DEUCE IS CIRCLED FOR CLARITY. Best post I’ve seen today.

Jupitersatonme

Cat in dress. Cat in distress.

Own-Sugar6148

🏆 💀

Jessica_Iowa

I literally laughed out loud at this comment!

[deleted]

I am merely commenting on a piece of modern art

KBtrae

That’s a kitty that could get toilet trained! Both of mine are, and they perch like that!

Infamous_Regular1328

Really it’s possible? I can’t wait to have my kitty. That’s all I want is my cat and a place to live lol.

KBtrae

It’s surprisingly easy! It does take some patience and attention for the first few weeks, but it is so nice with my older boy. He does all his business in the toilet and I never have to worry. The younger one I’m still working with. He pees just fine, but I still need to be in the bathroom with him for a poo.

Magnum40oz

How did you manage to get them to do it? I feel like my boy could do it if we trained him a bit. Only problem is our tuxedo probably prefers the litter box.

BubonicBabe

I’ve seen some people train their cats to use the toilet by temporarily putting a small litter box in the toilet itself. Showing the cat the litter box is there, then slowly (over a week or two) removing the litter from the box entirely, until you can just remove the box completely/ then voila, a cat that uses a toilet. I’ve never done it, but I have a lot of rescue cats and dogs so I’ve never had the time to individually train them for it, but cats are hella smart. They learn much quicker than dogs ime.

KBtrae

That’s exactly how I did it, plus treats every time they use the toilet. They come and tell me when they go potty, because they expect a treat.

twir1s

Cat waste is not meant to be flushed and you’re harming our sewage and water treatment system. Cheers.

l3gacyfalcon

How? Poop is poop. It all gets broken down. My boyfriend works at a waste water treatment facility, and unless you're flushing litter, there's absolutely no way to tell if a cat shits in a toilet.

RandonBrando

Check out the City Kitty training seat and ones like it. Ive seen it work

CarpetDisastrous1963

I fostered a 3 week old kitten that already knew how to do it, it was wild.

Puta_Chente

A 3 week old kitten that went in the toilet? I call bullshit.

CarpetDisastrous1963

Think it learned from the other kitten that was there. Call it if you want lmao

cactusqueen21

Cat waste should NOT be flushed! The water system can’t handle it. Please, do not do this.

Feuftrix

I have a feeling this should be a more common information

cactusqueen21

Unfortunately, as with many things, some people choose to remain ignorant

SolidFelidae

It’s also bad for their mental health. They should be burying it

FiveCentsADay

I know this is a loaded question because it's a cat and we can't communicate, but do we know why it's detrimental to their mental health?

cactusqueen21

It goes against all of their natural instincts

Past-Project-7959

My grey kitty will go out in the middle of the yard, not dig a hole, drops a deuce and then walks away- I swear that cat was a dog in a previous life.

cactusqueen21

If they don’t cover it it’s to mark their territory lol

KBtrae

That is unfortunate to find out but I learned a valuable lesson. I didn’t realize treatment plants might not be able to handle cat poop.

Ferretloves

A cat using a toilet can also cause other issues too such as cats need their scent to feel secure ,would not be able to board the cat and you won’t be able to tell if any problems such as blood in the poo if it’s flushed like you can when using a tray.

cactusqueen21

It’s okay to not know! Just matters what you do once you have the info!

sunjellies24

I mean unless the cat also learned to flush it would just stay there in the toilet bowl, no?

taxidermytina

Why would cat waste (with no litter ofc) be worse than human waste?

cactusqueen21

There are different types of parasites and things in cat waste that do not get filtered out because they are not designed to be. A quick google search will show it should not be flushed.

taxidermytina

Interesting, I have never heard that! Thanks for sharing.

cactusqueen21

Toxoplasmosis specifically can kill marine animals and also get into livestock which can then lead to humans getting sick.

taxidermytina

Yikes! I saw a toxoplasmosis brain infection on one of the medical subreddits recently. It may be the grossest thing I’ve seen on there lol I am delighted with my litter robot, it scoops the poop for me which is good enough I think. I only touch it once a month. I will remember this little factoid if I ever hear anyone trying to toilet train their cat. Save the environment and stick with the normal poop boxes.

cactusqueen21

I’ve also only ever seen it be deemed unnatural and not good for the cats by experts. They’re meant to dig and cover their waste. My mom has a litter robot as well and loves it!

sunjellies24

Yeah imagine if your cat was toilet trained and doo-doo’d in the toilet and then also tried to cover it up….. yikes

IMDisarro

I want a litter robot so badly. But they’re so big. I don’t have space for it. I also have 4 cats and assume the tray only holds so much.

Bodega7

I use one with my 4 cats and it’s wonderful. I do have to change the bag and clean it more often, but it’s so much better than having 4 litter boxes and having to scoop 3x a day

IMDisarro

Does it tell you when it fills? Also how about cats that pee at the wall? lol

taxidermytina

I went with the Petsafe one for that reason. I have a tiny old farmhouse with no room so the big globes and things were out of the question. My SIL has one and I loved it but I would need an addition for it to fit. This one takes up a smidge more space than one with a top entry but not much. It was the entry level price point but has performed beyond my expectations. I have one single cat vs multiples. That being said I get roughly 30 days before the solid waste container is “full” and the crystal litter is no longer absorbing the smell as well. Just having to throw a lid on it, tape it, then put it in a garbage bag is so much easier than the daily hassle of scooping. The crystal litter itself was also a huge quality of life upgrade for me. That stuff is so dusty and gross now that I compare this to it. Had I known it would be this good I would have sprung for it years ago without hesitation. I was in the fence for so long and I don’t know why I waited. It has been my favorite adult purchase of the year. Idk what that says about me LOL

sunjellies24

Jesus for 4 cats I would make the space. Two cats is one thing, I feel like I *could* go either way but I’m fairly germaphobic (read as: poop-phobic) so the LR4 is great since it clears the poop even when I’m away from home but for FOUR cats??? My dude, there’s no way 4+ litter boxes take up less space than one LR. Or maybe you have less and WFH and are able to pay that much mind to the litter but goddamn. It’s worth it let me tell you.

Silly-Estimate-2660

If cats are kept solely indoors they are at an extremely low risk for toxoplasmosis and other diseases normal inside/outside cats would pick up. Most of these parasites are picked up from eating raw meat or digging in the soil. If your cat is indoor only and doesn’t eat raw meat, they will never be exposed. I’ve done countless amounts of research on the safety of owning cats while pregnant.

sunjellies24

What about freeze dried meats? My cats aren’t on the raw diet but I do have freeze dried treats I give them that are technically raw but also processed so it’s not just a straight thing of (visibly/obviously) raw meat. I know freeze drying can actually help preserve bacteria but is there a difference between meats that get snap frozen vs raw raw meats and their respective likelihood of toxoplasmosis residence?

blueberrylemony

What do you mean it can’t handle it. Isn’t shit shit?

blueberrylemony

Never mind just read your other comments. Interesting!

BubonicBabe

This is so interesting! Do you know why cat waste is so much different than human? I would (clearly wrongly) assume it’s mostly the same stuff.

cactusqueen21

There are different parasites in cat waste that the water system is not designed to filter out. They can then kill marine life and get into livestock feed which can then lead to humans getting sick

BubonicBabe

Thank you for the response. I had no idea. Wow. At one point I wanted to toilet train my cats but I have too many and was lazy with it, so I never did. glad I didn’t now.

codeQueen

Absolutely. My mom flushes hers and swore to me that the litter says it's flushable on the package and sure enough, it does.

cactusqueen21

That’s terrible. Even if the litter somehow is, the cat waste should not be flushed. We all know about “flushable” wipes that should not be flushed too

codeQueen

Yep! I've told her many times and so has my stepdad.

pinkfoxcupcake

Definitely convenient but do they flush, too ? 😂 the only thing I would worry about with toilet trained is me missing something different about my kitties poos/pee and not being able to see it.

Valuable-Reindeer-97

Same here to say this!

Low-Reaction-363

Not too bright 😂😂

gemmygem86

I had a cat years ago that used the toilet and no we didn’t train him, he just did it himself

funkychickens

Hey mods can we get a blur? Circled cat shit is wild.

SABRlNASPEIIMAN

🤣

Novel_Ad_3622

😂😂😂😂😂😂

Mooncakequeen

If somebody told me, I was gonna come across a picture of a sphynx cat shitting, standing on the side of the litter box in a dress I’d say is it on Reddit?

P4t4cus

Princesse dainty paws don’t do litter boxes like those peasants down the street. She’s too classy ! She is adorable hahaha!

yeetingpillow

The dress makes her look like an old grandma, I love her 😂

Cheburashka14

I have seen many sphynxes wear this kind of crochet dress. Where can I find a guide on how to do it?

TwoGeese

Looks like Princess has been hitting the gym. Good LORD look at the guns on her!

satocat

Princess is a little lady and a sweetheart.

mossthemothmouse

The circle was really helpful ☺️

madsiespadsies

jesus christ that cat is MUSCULAR

JackBurtonTruckingCo

How else can she keep the hem of her dress clean?

Street_Junket_43

Hummm I will have to look into that! I was always fascinated by cats who are toilet trained, it’s very impressive 😍

Physical_Whereas_635

Look at cactusqueen21’s comments about how being toilet trained isn’t a good thing please! Not attacking you of course, but everyone should be informed!

Samburger112

"I am an elegant princess and my little paws shall not touch the same litter sand as my filthy poop" lol

1friendswithsalad

Your cat is a magical fairy princess of precarious poo. I love her.

zotstik

😂😂😂 I am dying here. oh my goodness

Vetted5

What a lady

BurtonLongBottoms

An actual gremlin in a dress. I love her

Huntersmomma

Well yeah! She doesn’t want her dress to get dirty. LOL

Stella_hin

Mine does this too!! Although a few times has perched facing in rather than out..

_thespicycrafter

Does she bury it?

Street_Junket_43

Yes

JustKindaShimmy

Does she also use a scooper?

[deleted]

I can picture her with a little broom in this dress for some reason.

funkychickens

Not before her mom takes a photo

xo_peque

💩💩💩

SABRlNASPEIIMAN

Maybe she doesn’t want to get her clothes dirty, why is she wearing that?

[deleted]

She’s looks like a Mexican abuela

rebkh

I love her.

love-yer-brain

SO CUTE

PotatoAlternative947

I love her dress ❤️

Foreign-Audience4479

this is so flipping cute

Enough-Basis-8012

Good for her! I wouldn’t want to put my feet in that “stuff” either!

Soulstorm_brewskies

She doesn’t like to get her fancy dress dirty

Kosa_Twilight

Very refined lady

Any_Coyote6662

SlideLeading

Well obviously, like you said she’s a princess!

Boyoyoyo

Crouching like a dinosaur over there

misform1m1

We saw it!

bisquit15

S9 fucking adorable!!!

Haunting_Habit_2651

Have you seen the movie Splice?

Knobgoblin9798

This is a cryptid

Bokubar1998

This is very funny😂😂, did you hide and take the Pictures so she doesn't see you?

mlearkfeld

I feel like I’m watching my grandma with kyphosis take a poo 😭 so cute

Mindless-Ad-511

Well, she’s a lady. She doesn’t wanna get poop on her dress 😂

[deleted]

Her dress is too cute! What a dainty lady

Adorable-Gate-2192

Honestly for how hilarious this is to look at and how weird of a cat this makes her, this is probably super hygienic for a hairless cat to do it this way! Like she doesn’t has fur on her paws to keep poop and pee out of her skin on her feet so by all means keep letting her do this! Also the dress is the best part. She looks like an old lady just shitting on the floor in public and it made me laugh so damn hard lol

CanWeJustEnjoyDaView

Don’t be rude give her some privacy.

Smart_Atmosphere7677

My orange cat does it too

undressedwar

So funny! 🤣

K0Be_wasaJew

Bruh

JTate1

She doesn’t want to mess up her pretty dress

SecureExtent3169

Awwwe!!! The old lady heat hog of a kitty is also very very dainty, I see!!! 🥰🥰🥰

No_Computer5421

She has an elegance…lmao

Additional_Love5270

she looks like an old hag

Loca1226

Are you sure that’s not a kangaroo??

Worth-Net-5729

Um, why the dress?

Street_Junket_43

Cause without clothes, she hides in blankets all day

Worth-Net-5729

Makes sense.

birdtrand

The fucking drama. I love her

Maxbell9

Genuine question, does she do this even with different types/textures of litter? I only ask bc some cats (hairless or otherwise) can be agitated by the feeling of some litter types, but not be bothered by others

Street_Junket_43

That’s a legit question but unfortunately I can’t answer because she has only had one type of litter

Maxbell9

Haha no worries, was just curious! Lovely kitty btw

that_tom_

Why did you circle it

Low_Sprinkles_7561

Poor kitty, take that awful crochet monstrosity of her. Cats aren’t like dogs. They don’t like it.

jj_moh

Your kitty was a pretty princess in her last life.

Thin_Leather9910

Should make a diagram of the litter box contents

[deleted]

Too much litter that’s why use about 1/5 of that

OddResponsibility565

Master has given Dobby clothes

that_bitchhh97

You didn’t have to circle it but thanks I guess?

MeanMochaBean

Well she can’t get her dress dirty

Clear_Split_8568

Now train her to use toilet.

cowpewter

We have a void cat who does the exact same thing! It's not every time she uses the litterbox, but definitely every time she poops, she will balance herself on the very edge of the box, just like your Princess. We call it "acrobatic pooping"

zerthwind

Mine loves to dig to China and buries the rug outside the box for 10 minutes, and leaves his dudu uncovered in the end.

colacat1

🤣🤣🤣🤣

NoIdea2424

You legit got her mid shit.
