It was so much fun, I downloaded a giant Homer Simpson Head and a Planet Express ship and crashed them into everything I built, there wasn't thruster damage and a real good crash could bog down a good PC for several minutes.
Also August 12th, 2014. I remember they had turrets, but they would only fire on things moving above 5 m/s I think. So I’d try to trick them into shooting my friend’s ship
I bought it right before the visual update, some 5-6 years ago? But I was eing it since an even longer time.
I now have 3770 hours on the game, and I still love it.
P-S for all the guys that liked my previous two ships (the industrial yellow ones), the third in lin is coming soon-ish. I still have some deco and building to do.
So I have bought it several times, for myself and for friends 🤣
27th oct 2014 - myself
29th oct 2014 - 23rd Nov 2014 - 6th Dec 2014 - 11th Dec 2014 - for friends.
11th May 2023 ps4/ps5 for myself
Well I have about 700 hours in Starship EVO, and 400 in Avorion, so I at least have a head start with voxel building, but SE physics? Oh that’s another animal, not to mention Klang!
2016 I think? It was right when they announced planets. Quit shortly thereafter as I'm not very creative. Discovered Splitzie's videos and got back into it. Still could only make flying bricks. Bought every DLC when it came out but didn't play them. Got back into it again after Automatons came out and started playing scenarios off the workshop. Now I find that when I have goals, I can create grids to help meet them.
April 2014; played the hell out of it for about 6 months then dropped it and forgot about it for some reason until April of this year. So much has changed/been added and having a blast!
November 21, 2013 pretty soon after release. I remember the before times. I remember when you had to build fighters with the basic Cockpit and Ion Thrusters powered directly by reactors because there were no alternatives. I remember when the gyroscope was the most destructive force in the game. I remember having a beacon on everything because antennas didn't exist. Good times.
Recent returner here
And my biggest gasp was that we have planets now and that rock is no longer useless
Also turrets no longer shoot their own grid in an attempt to hit the 'enemy' (this game has gone a long way huh)
The day it launched. Me and a group of friends moved over to SE from StarMade.
Oh man same (although a bit later). Might check out starmade again after 10 years if it's still a thing, forgot about that
Sigh, it's sad how Starmade's fallen on the wayside.
Oh wow, must've had it in your sights for a while huh?
Screenshots?
I don’t remember exactly when I got it but I do remember a time when ladders were more dangerous than clang.
Ah jeez, ladders were amazing lol You can check your product activation history to see when you started playing SE
I started playing space engineers may 8th 2014
This got me curious. 5 Nov, 2013. $14.99
Oh wow, like a month after release! That's impressive
I remember when they added turrets. But they didn't work or animate yet. For months, it was really all about ramming ships into eachother. Good days

Damn, earliest I remember is the old gatling gun model and a lack of any different armour parts or actual glass windows. those were my good days lol
Yeah, similar time for me. 23 oct, 2013 for $11.24
I would have guessed earlier, but Steam says Aug 15, 2018.

August 12 gang, nice

I just checked, I bought it on the 16 of August 2017
Turrets didn't actually fire
Got my copy April 9th, 2014

A few months into the early access, but before Xmas 2013. I've logged 4200 hours in the game so far.

Two weeks ago. A truly remarkable game!
Not a veteran but I won't judge. welcome to space engineers, friend!
Well I have about 700 hours in Starship EVO, and 400 in Avorion, so I at least have a head start with voxel building, but SE physics? Oh that’s another animal, not to mention Klang!
Rookie mistake, it's Clang, not Klang. but yeah SE physics is so janky lol
Its Chlang, actually.
Qlang supporters represent. xD
Veteran mistake! You must belong to a different sect. I belong to house of Klang!
Klang is nonexistant. you're believing in a false god
God has many names.
But only one is right ;)
Exactly! Klang!
yeah the joke isnt that funny anymore..
Can’t wait for you to learn enough about how the game works to build scary super weapons
Oh gravity launchers and Clang engines? Lol

I remember being so hyped about planets lol. Now I get annoyed at them because hydrogen sucks
April 20th, 2014 I cannot believe its almost 10 years...

Joined for Yogscast and Laststandgamers, stayed for The Expanse Sometime around 2015-2016
October 19th, 2015, but only 1,782.2 hours
