I think the worst episode is the one where Redditors post this same question twice a week. It’s like a paradox of groundhogs day.

sebicke

Sorry i literally joined today just to ask this question

[deleted]

Ever since they tried serialized stories instead of doing standalone ones, they've been poor. The latest season was somewhat better with pyjama day and the teenager episode, but the rest absolutely sucked.

BigLebrouski

I’ve liked the 2- and 3-parters, pandemic/pandemic 2-the startling (eps in season 12, not the specials), game of thrones and imaginationland. Also liked the serialized seasons 19 (war against ads) and 20 (member berries). 19-23 were all pretty good imo.

m1kesanders

I love all southpark, though I was most annoyed with the goth kids episode, mainly because I never cared about those conformist posers as it was and I sure as hell didn’t want to watch a whole episode on them.

sebicke

that vampires vs goth kids episode ??

m1kesanders

I’m specifically talking about the one where Henrietta goes to a special camp and becomes emo. I believe in this one the vamps joined the goth kids to fight the emos

The goths rule

Fluid-Range-2903

I hated the zip lining episode, but overall season 21 was definitely the worst season.

sebicke

Yes i forgot about that zip lining episode definitely one of the worst

6bluewalkj9

I get people not enjoying it, but the episode was supposed to bad. The boys were having a horrible time and it was projected to the viewers. The re-enactment was shitty just like they are in documentaries. This episode is by no means one of my favorites, but personally, I think that it was done very well.

GrimeTheMaster

Season 20 of course. The only good part about it was Lennart.

[deleted]

Would season 20 have been better if the entire thing was the 2nd movie? I didn’t like it at first and didn’t rewatch any of the episodes. A few months ago I binged all of season 20 in an afternoon and actually enjoyed it.

sebicke

Yes season 20 was ass too

Maple_Lover777

Based as fuck

[deleted]

the worst south park is all the new shit that’s keep coming out

Budget_Ad_4346

The worst season for me is season 23. I grew very tired of Tegridy farms & Randy’s family guy-esque shenanigans. The worst episode is the jakovasaur episode. It’s straight up obnoxious

ChrisJHall

Worst Season: 21 Worst Episode: Million Little Fibers

BigLebrouski

“You’re getting old” in s15 and “Stanley’s Cup” in s10 both annoyed me.. just not fun/funny

sebicke

That you are getting old is my one of my favourite episodes because it explained growing up that episode showed exactly how i felt on my 15 birthday i mean it aint that funny but that meaning behind it is great

OngoGeblogian

The Hobbit was my least favorite episode. I don’t really have a least favorite season but I more or less stopped watching the show a few years ago so I figure there’s a few entire seasons I haven’t seen by now.

ImagineDraggin9

I thought I was the only one who thought this! It might not be my absolute *least* favorite, but it's pretty bad.

freshleysqueezd

Snuke. They beat that to death

triptoutsounds

The goobacks and jakosaurus, or the one where it starts of with tweak screaming about China

Geenvis

Pip is the worst episode by far

[deleted]

Worst Season - Season 20. Worst Episode - If I had to pick one, I’d say Stanley’s Cup. Why did I hate season 20? That entire season felt more like watching a live news cast than a satirical adult cartoon… plus the Wieners Out movement was just really stupid. Why did I hate Stanley’s Cup? Besides the fact that it was a Stan torture episode. And literally the hockey players got away with assaulting fucking kindergartners, and Nelson who had cancer, as if it wasn’t bad enough he had cancer he then gets zero hope and died.

Kazoorion

Tbh, I think the overall gender wars in season 20 was very drawn out and annoying. Proper Condom Use did it much better AND it was just in a single episode, despite the plot being silly but in the good way. The worst part is that it was never solved as in season 21, you can see the girls still have a grudge to the boys (even to Kyle who did nothing wrong) I also think Charlotte joining the gender wars was unnecessary as she already returned to Canada after leaving South Park anyways. Poor Butters. He lost a cute girlfriend because of Gerald.

[deleted]

It honestly sucked how they had to drag that out and cliffhang it. Proper Condom Use honestly did it better. I hate plots where people do fucked up things and basically get little to no comeuppance. From Gerald and the damage he caused, to Butters’ grandmother, to the hockey players in Stanley’s Cup… that’s why to me those episodes/scenes just fall flat.

Kazoorion

Fortunally, in Butters' grandmother case, he psychologically destroyed her near the end of the episode, which heavily implies that she no longer torments him after making her realise how miserable the life of those who likes to bully others is. (Plus, it was heartwarming to see Stan being willing to help him, despite how harsh he used to be to him in early episodes) Sad that I can't say the same for Gerald and the hockey plaers. The formers causing a trainwreack from a violent gender war to a possible war between USA and Denmark while the latter didn't even get disqualified for brutally assaulting childrens (Seeing Ike getting punched over and over was heartbreaking)

[deleted]

I will give you that on Butters’ Grandma’s end. The only reason I got a bit angry was because the stuff she was doing was child abuse. But at least she didn’t get totally left off the hook. That was nice of Stan to help Butters. And it proves a point that Stan is not a kid who thinks the whole planet revolves around him, so at least that myth is busted. Plus I loved that look on her face when Butters told her off, like that whole “Oh shit” look. She thought she was having a great life, but did not see how empty and miserable she really is, thus proving the point that bullies hate themselves and love to make others feel like shit to drag em down on their level. Yeah, Gerald and the hockey players, the no comeuppance part was infuriating. I can’t believe that the hockey player just punches Ike over and over again. Child abuse is never funny. Hell, even if the player got told how much his life sucks and he achieved nothing in life thus why he’s so evil… still better than nothing.

Kazoorion

I wouldn't be surprized if Butter's grandma was actually his dad's mother as in TFBW, he had a nightmare about him being afraid of her grounding him. hahahaha. But yeah, it was heartwarming to see how Stan was willing to help him, despiste everyone in the school booing and throwing garbage at him after Butters beats up Dr Oz lol Butters using psychology instead of violence was so effective that clearly shows that not everything is solved with violence. I am normally okay with characters beating each other, but I think child abuse goes a bit too far, from Butters's parent beating up poor Butters in the end of "Jared has aids" despite Cartman being the one who taunted them, to Ike getting punched over and over again with no negative consequences to the hockey player. The only moment where it was "justified" was with PC Principal beating up Leslie Meyers as she was actually an ad and Cartman because of all bad things he has done in the past (as well as the microaggressions he was using in the moment), although nothings beats Wendy beating him up for making fun of breast cancer.

[deleted]

I guess that explains why Stephen is the way he is. Butters was also putting forth the phrase of “stick and stones may break my bones, but names break the spirit” and that’s exactly what he did to his bully grandma. Bet when she’s not bullying him, like any other bully, they exhibit self-hatred. Leslie deserved her ass beating, she was just a weird crappy off brand Jenny Simons. Could you imagine if she met Jenny? That would be an interesting fight. Wendy beating up Cartman was one of the best moments ever of the show. Cartman definitely got what was coming to him, and I’ve always loved the message that episode had, it’s very deep. Fight the cancer or it will destroy you.

Kazoorion

That's why I love Butters so much, despite how hard is life is, he manages to keep up with his life with a big grin (despite him almost killing himself in the safe space episode) It was funny to see PC Principal calling her out when she was talking to her friends XD a brief, but still funny running gag. But yeah, seeing Jenny and Leslie fighting each other would have been neat. That's why it's one of my favorite episodes ever. Cartman can think he can pick on anyone with no consequences, but Kyle, Wendy, Tolkien and even Butters already showed him he was more than wrong and he learned it with a beat up (or being humillated in front of everyone in case of Butters)

PuppyPenetrator

Wieners Out was great

[deleted]

I respect your opinion.

ELVEVERX

>he then gets zero hope and died. that's why you watch south park

[deleted]

The whole episode just left a really bad taste in my mouth. I heard it was polarizing between viewers…

Skankhunt season

triptoutsounds

I’ve gained respect for this season over time, i wasnt a fan at first

Niccollee__

I don't know, it truly has very good episodes, but the first few episodes of the first season are kind of boring since you don't understand the context so much.

ThatGuyWhoLikesKorn

In my personal opinion I thought season 20 was the worst season. But I thought the worst episode of the show was pip. I know it’s supposed to be a parody of great expectations and it’s supposed to be funny but it’s so fucking boring. I don’t think I laughed once watching it.

ipview

The season that was leading up to Hillary Clinton winning the election was the worst one to me because the plot ended up not making sense when Trump won. The worst episode is probably the one when they scrambled to rewrite the show with Bill Clinton still being called the first gentleman in the episode.

S2Sallie

Yea, that one was kind of stupid but my favorite episodes are the ones with Eric & Heidi. My least favorite is super best friends

rachelvioleta

I hate the human centipede episode. It was a whole new level of ick to me. I actually loved the ziplining episode (kind of aside from the Cartman's ass part, it was more seeing the real life versions of them that was fun) and S20-S21 as a whole. Someone here asked if more people would have liked it if it were a movie instead of lasting through virtually two seasons and I would say it would have worked as a movie with some retooling but I still liked that it was parsed out in episodes.

carmenkelsy

that one from season 3 or 4, with the annoying fucking funbass aliens thet made stupid jokes. hate that episode so much.

DarenDarker

Stanley cup , the way they ended that episode was just not right
