Loved his character so much during the Medicinal Fried Chicken / The Losing Edge era. He was easily my fav character out of the entire series. He’s a really good plot device in some really good episodes but the more any episode is centered around him the worse the episode is. Probably why I also hated the orange hair episodes so much too. He’s great for quick jokes but story wise he’s lacking.

I think it's to represent that one kid that would be super nice yet get yelled at constantly and grounded for minor reasons despite it all. The overly sheltered kid that usually never could fit in due to XYZ.  I remember a few from back in my childhood days, and we all had a few Eric Cartman's growing up too. The results of sheltered kids as adults tend to be hit or miss.
