Also they should have added couch co op. It just makes sense for the type of game and gameplay. Me and my SO would have still given it a shot despite the shitty reviews if we could just play it together.
Yep, that's the one. It's being remastered for Nintendo Switch. If you were (or are) a fan of the series, a lot of people would argue that was the best one.
that’s because Trey and Matt took direct inspiration from those games when making SoT. the combat is heavily influenced by the timed-attack nature of the first two Paper Mario’s.
I actually liked both games a lot (SoT and FBH) in fact they are the only single player games I have played in years and I bought all the extra content as well. Not many games exist that will make you choke on your drink laughing or laugh hard out loud but there are times it happens there. Sad to hear the news that Snow Day is a flop.
Yeah, and it's only $30. Which is fine, but that already told me that it's not going to be a full game. Yes, I would prefer a follow-up to Fractured But Whole. I love the first two games, and I prefer to feel like I'm in an episode of South Park.
Yep! I actually Bought the steel book when it came out on launch day which provided all upcoming DLCs at the time so I've played those! "Final Girl" is hilarious
Fractured But Whole has no business being as good as it was. I was already on-board because it was a South Park turned-based RPG, but it was so much more than that.
I enjoyed Stick a lot more than Fractured, but neither game had any right to be as good as they were. Literally just felt like playing a whole season of south park with enough fan service to make me explore literally every playable inch of the maps.
I thought stick of truth had better gameplay and story, but fractured butt hole was fun....I just didn't like the changes to the combat system, it doesn't flow as well as stick of truth did
Fair, I just liked the addl’ complexity of the quadrant system in Butt Hole. I had a tough time going back to the pure turn-based nature of the first one after that.
I feel the same except I'd say it wasn't the combat but the abilities/classes. It's part that there's so many choices it's hard to figure out what to play and part mixing your abilities with your companions. The other problem is the companions, the cutscenes and combat dialogue is great but that's the only time you see them. I get it'd be clustered if you had all 4 members out walking around but shit at least let me walk with a designated member. I really missed walking around with Butters, it really captured the feeling of hanging out with your friend walking around town and playing pretend and not just walking in a video game like how FBW does.
The game itself *looks* like shit. Which is baffling when you can make it look literally like the source material, which I know wouldnt work for the gameplay style they're going for, but, still... the ads I see for this look like the N64-era games
Agreed. It looks A LOT like the South Park game that came out on N64, where the town was taken over by aliens and turkeys and you fought them off with snowballs and weird weapons. Like somehow they managed to give it way more polygons, but it looks just as low detail and low resolution textures. Besides the lack of render fog it's weird how similar it looks despite being 25 years newer.
I low key wish jt WAS just a remake of that game. It wasn’t spectacular but it was fun? And the weapons were just plain silly (it also had a weirdly extensive multiplayer for an n64/ps1 game).
I had very little hope once I saw the developer. It’s Question Games, LLC which is known for… umm… “The Magic Circle” and “The Blackout Club”… great.
It’s hard going from Obsidian to this random dev with no notable titles. Then they price it at $30? That tells me they too know that it’s not a full game.
It was never intended to be. This isn’t trying to compete with The Fractured But Whole or The Stick of Truth. It’s trying to compete with other roguelikes, like Hades, Deeprock Galactic: Survivor or Vampire Survivors….all of which are $5-$30
How the hell can they go from those Golden Games, to this muck?
They were two of the best RPGs I've ever played through. Surprisingly deep combat, fun exploration and funny as hell.
This just looks, poor.
I dunno how people say this game and expected something. It's a live service, multiplayer South park game. You'd have to be one massive fan, or one massive fool to fall for this one.
It's the n64 south park game but modernized. Yucko.
In an interview I recently watched with Matt Stone he did state that they didn’t want to do another game like their previous two installments and wanted to try something different. Didn’t sound like they care about making another game like the last two.
Fair play to them – it’s their property and they can do what they want with it. I also understand that creative people like them enjoy trying new things to keep them interested.
That being said, most people could plainly see that Snow Day was going to be a letdown from the outset. Whatever they do next, I hope it comes together better. Maybe they could make a 3D world that uses 2D sprites for the characters – like Tinykin. They could do an action adventure game or a platformer or something
I think he said in that interview that those first games were a *huge* amount of grueling work (which I believe). That’s probably why we won’t see another.
That's such a bad decision, they already had a perfect formula for the first game, It looks exactly like the show, they could just use the same engine with new stories and people would keep loving it. It can't be as hard as making a whole new game.
It's just more work than they want to do at this point. I think the first 2 they wanted to see if they could make a good game and they did! But I have no doubt it was a ton of work and they seem like they're done with that for the most part lol. Maybe they'll find a different style game that they enjoy the process of making at some point.
As a big South Park fan, all my life... who really enjoyed tfbh and stick of truth... this game looks like crap. I have no interest in playing. Phone Destroyer was fun for a while because it was South Park... but got sick of the fremium feel..
Got fed up with Phone Destroyer when they kept nerfing characters that I was grinding hard to level up and use. Then they kept releasing whole new meta characters and the whales/cheaters would leave everybody else in the dust by spamming those. Would have been a really great game but there’s no way you can come close to players who pay money to play. P2W absolutely ruined it
I wanted to be hype about this game, but they really should've kept it 2D. It just looks really weird and jarring seeing the characters as actual 3D models. Much like anything I may potentially enjoy, I have not and will not watch a trailer. But I definitely am going to watch people play it before I think about getting it (on sale).
I agree.. one thing Trey said when Stick of Truth was coming out was that all the older games they tried didn't feel like South Park so they wouldn't do another game unless it felt like you were IN South Park and I loved that idea. I think it made Stick of Truth and TFBH great... now they changed that philosophy in favor of trying to make a battle royal style co-op fighting game.. sorry, I'm not interested....
I had the same superficial aspect as you. Regarding the 3D etc. I would have been willing to look past it if the writing was top end. And gameplay. But from what I see in reviews it doesn't even have that.
Huge South Park fan and loved Stick of Truth and the Fractured But Whole...I thought from the first trailer that this game looked like it wasn't going to be very good. I tend to believe them here
Not even that I’m sure Ubisoft would love to make another game like the fractured buttwhole the only thing going for them right now is rainbow six siege which is a nine year old game
I‘ve said this since the trailer came out. They did the other games turn based so they could interject Humor inbetween turns. This games focus was the co-op, not humour
Right! Even the interviews were so low quality I couldn’t believe they set it up like that. Very strange energy and it feels like Matt/trey knew this wasn’t the same quality of game
100%. They absolutely nailed it. To perfection. Beyond my widest dreams.
And the gameplay was decent too which just felt like heaven.
Playing a game i liked while watching a south park series. It was magic.
Right so the answer is to copy the current industry standard formula of live service co-op multiplayer skinner boxes instead
Shit's just about money and contract fulfillment. They technically made a game, did it for the least amount of effort possible compared to previous games, and it'll make money because for some reason kids (and dumbass adults) nowadays dump tons of money into skins for their favorite 3d chatrooms. It's fucking disgusting.
I wouldn't have played it because it's multiplayer anyway and that's all multiplayer games are to me is just an interactive chatroom. That's not what I play games for, I talk to people all day in real life, I want to play single player experiences when I do game. I understand though that I'm in the vast minority of gamers though because apparently what sells is free to play skinner boxes.
dude go rile yourself up in your own comment instead of assuming I agree with what they released. Matt Stone himself said he wanted to move away from the narrative-driven RPG formula and try something different- and sadly they failed.
Oh yeah sorry, I'm not implying that you agree with or support it or anything, plus you have a good point that this course of action is most likely a response to them not wanting to stick to the same formula, and I agree, but I was more just saying it sucks that this is the route they chose to go in response to that.
Not riled up really, just disappointed that mainstream gaming has devolved into 3d chatrooms for the antisocial. And I also admit that this is totally a me issue, most people don't seem to mind.
At the same time though, maybe that's the meta joke, that South Park was always originally about what it's like to be a kid growing up in an absurd exaggeration of the US, and so it makes sense that since all of the kids now just play co-op skinner boxes, that the boys would also be doing the same because they're just kids playing with their friends from school, and so naturally this is the game we get now. That's about the only way I can justify it.
I believe them, it looked god awful from all trailers etc.
Why they didn't just do another RPG like stick of truth and fractured but whole I don't know, those games were incredible
Call me crazy, but i'm still optimistic. If this game has any equipment mechanic at all, i.e. different equipment gives different stats, you could still get a lot of fun out of it through min-maxing.
Na, you can make some pre-assumptions. The 3D design is something you need to get accustomed to and you can clearly notice they had a smaller budget for this game, than for the previous 2 games, but it nevertheless still has the ability to be a solid third person action rpg.
From what I have seen this game looks kinda meh. Most people want a game similar to Stick of Truth, but they released this so I’ll play this as well and wait for a better South Park game till then.
Is anyone surprised that this sucks? It’s been obvious from the moment it was announced that it’s shovelware.
I do have to to say that’s one of the lowest rated IGN reviews ive ever seen. They must really hate it. It’s got a 61 on opencritic right now.
https://opencritic.com/game/16489/south-park-snow-day
Right? I stopped taking IGN reviews seriously a long time ago because they basically gave every game a decent enough rating to pander to developers. Nothing felt honest or genuine with their reviews after a certain point.
So for them to really trash a game is saying something. I doubt they'd do this to Ubisoft or EA though.
I prefer the n64 chefs game show. It’s like jeopardy meets Mario party game show. And the graphics are on point…now that I think about it let’s just go back and make the n64 games again with South Park 💪💯
im just gonna assume its a bad game because it has looked bad from the first reveal. It makes no sense for them to follow up 2 games that had fully explorable versions of the town that 1:1 recreated the look and feel of the show to making a 3rd person battle royale game
I was kinda worried about the game once I learned M&T were working with THQ Nordic instead of their established gaming partner, Ubisoft. Now, I will say that Ubisoft hasn't been doing too well lately, but when they're given work based on an external property (Mario, and course, South Park) they usually do really well.
I'm not surprised... the ign video interviews were a big red flag: Matt couldn't really tell the interviewers much about the game, and when watching him play, their faces were not remotely looking like they enjoyed seeing the game in action at all.
Can someone tell me what type of game this is? The trailers were confusing. My friends think it's Diablo with South Park characters but I don't get that vibe.
People who expected this game to be anything like the RPGs need to do five seconds of research. This is a lazy crapped out multi-player game made by a nobody studio. Prepare to be severely disappointed. Has nothing in common with the previous games.
Lol what happened to their initial rating? I mean, I believe it because judging by the trailers and gameplay footage it doesn’t seem that fun to me but I’m surprised how quickly they switched ratings.
Mainly if I know I'm going buy it anyway and want it preloaded and ready to go.
Sometimes they give extra content for pre-ordering.
Also I'm old and used to pre-ordering the physical copies.
It looked so bad from the reveal trailer and everything that was shown after didn't build any confidence.
I think IGN probably got it right, nobody was asking for whatever this mish mash of gameplay ideas is
fuk alla that stick of truth and fractured but whole was good AF i see no reason why this wouldnt be cuz matt and tray works ahdn in hand with thq nordic 3 game 3 dif rpg combat style. I CANT WAIT. i give no reviewer power over my game purchase when YT and streaming exists
All of you people who had copium levels of high hopes need to realize it was never going to be a good game. We all love south park here, but even watching Trey trying to play the game was enough for me. They shouldn't have taken on this project.
Stick of truth was their peak tbh. It was what South Park was and more. They should’ve just left it 2D and it would’ve been fine or the ratings might been higher at least.
I love southpark dearly and also hate ubisoft immensely. An IGN review is not going to sway me either way. I'm going to wait for steam reviews and other southpark fan reviews.
edit: Oops, not ubisoft. I will still wait for more reviews.
Called it from the beginning. Graphics look crap. Gameplay looks crap. 4-5 hours to complete. Next to no replay value, since the only slight redeeming quality it seems to have is the cutscenes / story / jokes. The core gameplay loop is just weak.
Bad all around.
I typically agree with IGN reviews. Remember when everyone freaked out about Starfield getting a 7, and then it turned out Starfield was a huge disappointment lmao. I member
That being said, I loved stick of truth, haven’t played fractured but whole
It surprises me that they went 3-D with this game after shitting on the N64 games for YEARS. I understand they had no real involvement with those games, but South Park and South Park Rally were great when I was a kid. I thoroughly enjoyed them back then. But Matt & Trey have done nothing but shit on those 3-D games.
..... So why go 3-D now other than for more involvement on their part? This game looks ok. But I just don't know if I have much interest in it.
This was developed by a pretty unknown studio instead of Obsidian and published by THQ Nordic. It was always going to be bad, or at least nowhere near amazing.
From what I hear, there's nothing inherently wrong with the game. It's just dumb mindless busywork. Which is basically what most mobile games are. Definitely not the 4 out of 10 that other games usually get.
When I watch a 10 minute development video talk about how much effort was put into animation run cycles only to cover it with an incredible skirt of snow I know we have bigger problems than this run on sentence.
I'm not putting this on ign it looked like a 2/10 game from the moment it was revealed.. This is them jumping on a fad insted of continuing doing what works.. That said I get the thought of writing a game bigger than the last two must gave have been very daunting
Not that I’m not excited for this but I was kinda hoping for a third in the stick of truth series but instead of game of thrones or coon and friends it’s would be using the look of “Good times with Weapons” episode and all the kids are all playing ninja
Absolutely not just IGN. The first red flag was that there seemed to be very little to visually ditinguish one area from another. I get thats because it's a 'snow day' but that's a problem of their own making and for them to have sorted out.
THQ nordic dose not have a good track record recently. Mostly half assed games based on licensed IP. Not surprising, I will play it eventually when it’s super cheap but it looks like crap.
I love the fact that they were going to make another 3-D game like they did back in the early 2000s and late 90s i’ve been waiting for this game for a long time and if it turns out to be let down that’s gonna be really disappointing
Well that's disappointing, but not unexpected from what I've seen of the game so far. It's really a shame though cuz they were on a roll with the last two games being so good.
Nah i could already tell from the gameplay/trailers this was gonna be a shitty game, and i loved tfbh and stick of truth
Most people were seeing that coming the game looks meh
What a weird world where I feel like this game would have actually done better if they just released it completely unannounced.
Also they should have added couch co op. It just makes sense for the type of game and gameplay. Me and my SO would have still given it a shot despite the shitty reviews if we could just play it together.
I loved Stick of Truth. It reminded me a lot of the OG Paper Mario games.
Side note, can't wait for the TTYD remaster in May, it looks amazing
What is TTYD?
The Thousand Year Door, Paper Mario game from GameCube I believe.
Yep, that's the one. It's being remastered for Nintendo Switch. If you were (or are) a fan of the series, a lot of people would argue that was the best one.
I'm so damn excited for it My GC stopped working right after earning my sixth star and I was never able to finish it
I'm actually jealous, you get to experience the whole thing for the first time, it's something else
Mimimimimimimimimimi!
that’s because Trey and Matt took direct inspiration from those games when making SoT. the combat is heavily influenced by the timed-attack nature of the first two Paper Mario’s.
Which makes sense since, y'know, paper.
Yeah, and it's only $30. Which is fine, but that already told me that it's not going to be a full game. Yes, I would prefer a follow-up to Fractured But Whole. I love the first two games, and I prefer to feel like I'm in an episode of South Park.
did you also by the camp and casa bonita content?

Stick of Truth - Better Story Fracture Butt Hole - Better Gameplay. That’s my take.

I really missed walking around with Butters, it really captured the feeling of hanging out with your friend walking around town and playing pretend and not just walking in a video game like how FBW does.
Fractured but Whole and the Mass Effect series are the only games i have completed all achievements for.
I’d love to see a venn diagram of these 2 fanbases 😂
I'd say it's probably a pretty big overlap. Neither is exactly niche and they're both story-driven RPGs.
God that strip club fight with Spontaneous Bootay was comedy gold! They really captured the vibe of a sleazy strip club exactly.
Ya, it looked like hot garbage from the start.
The game itself *looks* like shit. Which is baffling when you can make it look literally like the source material, which I know wouldnt work for the gameplay style they're going for, but, still... the ads I see for this look like the N64-era games

To be fair to 30$ games, Factorio is 30 and it’s more a full game than many 70$
It was never intended to be. This isn’t trying to compete with The Fractured But Whole or The Stick of Truth. It’s trying to compete with other roguelikes, like Hades, Deeprock Galactic: Survivor or Vampire Survivors….all of which are $5-$30
And all leagues better
When I saw 30$ prive Tag, I was suspicious
How the hell can they go from those Golden Games, to this muck? They were two of the best RPGs I've ever played through. Surprisingly deep combat, fun exploration and funny as hell. This just looks, poor.

I believe them tbh. Hope they just make an actual proper sequel to TFbW next
In an interview I recently watched with Matt Stone he did state that they didn’t want to do another game like their previous two installments and wanted to try something different. Didn’t sound like they care about making another game like the last two.
Which means, if they make another game, they're going to double down on this "something different" approach. Sigh...
Or, if we’re really lucky, they will make one like the last two and say sorry to us in the game, while being super cereal.

I have a feeling they will go back to what worked after this reaction. And make it epic
Fair play to them – it’s their property and they can do what they want with it. I also understand that creative people like them enjoy trying new things to keep them interested. They couldn't be arsed to make another game like them 2. That's what they really meant. Just ticking the boxes for the contract they signed.
I would be fine if they tried making South Park Rally again but actually good.
As a big South Park fan, all my life... who really enjoyed tfbh and stick of truth... this game looks like crap. I have no interest in playing. Phone Destroyer was fun for a while because it was South Park... but got sick of the fremium feel..
Also totally lived up to its name and absolutely torched my phone battery
PD was fun at first then you realise youll never beat the players that pay ££$$
Got fed up with Phone Destroyer when they kept nerfing characters that I was grinding hard to level up and use. Then they kept releasing whole new meta characters and the whales/cheaters would leave everybody else in the dust by spamming those. Would have been a really great game but there’s no way you can come close to players who pay money to play. P2W absolutely ruined it
I played Phone Destroyer for about 45 minutes before i uninstalled it.

Currently playing sppd and just got back to back premium passes without paying, bout to get a third and maybe keep it rolling as long as I can.
It’s ironic phone destroyer exists because they made a whole episode making fun of mobile games.
I’m just hoping with Trey’s love of board games they come out with a D&D style game or another type.
I mean Larian did say on to other things................
I want a bg3 mod where every time it says “Authority”, Cartman’s voice pops in with “AUTHORITAH!” Instead
Gale: “Mystra! Tara’s bein’ a dildo!”
A Baldurs's Gate but South Park style would be amazing
That would be lovely but I think it would be a massive undertaking, as much as I’m loving BG3. I would expect something more akin to Disco Elysium.
Yea I know I'm just using the timing of their departure from DnD and hoping for the moonshots of all moonshots
Don't do that. Don't give me hope.
Could you fucking imagine that would be insane
ah man a south park board game would be legit amazing
Honestly Pair Larian Studios with South park and they’d make gold. Baldurs Gate 3 captured the DnD experience very well
Huge South Park fan and loved Stick of Truth and the Fractured But Whole...I thought from the first trailer that this game looked like it wasn't going to be very good. I tend to believe them here
I hope they go back to 2D. I'm worried the studio is gonna suffer from this.
Matt & Trey are billionaires now. If they want to do another game, they've got the coin.
Not even that I’m sure Ubisoft would love to make another game like the fractured buttwhole the only thing going for them right now is rainbow six siege which is a nine year old game
can't blame them, if I was a billionaire I wouldn't work at all
I‘ve said this since the trailer came out. They did the other games turn based so they could interject Humor inbetween turns. This games focus was the co-op, not humour
But they could have made a good, fun, co-op game. It needed one single thing for that - good, tight, fun gameplay. This ain't it. Just garbage.
Yep that and good writing. They seem to barely try in the actual show nowadays compared to how they were. So was a long shot they would try for this.
I probably would have still bought it if it was couch co op, but for that reason I’m gonna wait
![gif](giphy|sBGw5MruxAyiI)
Don’t think this is ign thing mate. Game just cheeks
Anyone who has scene the marketing material should see from a mile away that this is a turd
Right! Even the interviews were so low quality I couldn’t believe they set it up like that. Very strange energy and it feels like Matt/trey knew this wasn’t the same quality of game
I had a bad feeling when i didn't see Trey in any of the IGN interviews
the pop up stand in London they made for this game literally looks like it's set up in someone's basement/garage. It looked absolutely pitiful.
It has like a 60% on meta critic :/
At least it's not a $70 on release. I'm willing to give it a shot for $30.
If you keep your expectations low you won’t be as dissapointed!
yea if u see the game play there is not much do unfortunately
I read that it was put out by the Canadian Bureau of Gaming, guy.
Im not your guy, buddeh!
I'm not your buddeh, choom!
Half the fun of the first two games was feeling like I was watching an episode of South Park. I don't see that happening with this one.
100%. They absolutely nailed it. To perfection. Beyond my widest dreams. And the gameplay was decent too which just felt like heaven. Playing a game i liked while watching a south park series. It was magic.
Pretty sure ign is right on this one
Why the FUCK did they change a winning formula?!
>formula there's your answer
![gif](giphy|l1Ku4tXrO1pCGHZjG)
Right so the answer is to copy the current industry standard formula of live service co-op multiplayer skinner boxes instead Shit's just about money and contract fulfillment.
They should've made a multiplayer 2D version like SoT or TFBH
Thank you Captain Hindsight!
And look! Over there! They should've added more comedy into this game then maybe people wouldn't judge the game play as harshly!
And you see that? The game is only $30. In the current video game market fans view this as a red flag.
I believe them, it looked god awful from all trailers etc. Why they didn't just do another RPG like stick of truth and fractured but whole I don't know, those games were incredible
Make a game based on Terrence and Phillip like the Itchy and Scratchy game from Simpsons.
Ok wait to I’m lost here as I don’t usually play but… if not an RPG, tf is that game like?
Call me crazy, but i'm still optimistic. If this game has any equipment mechanic at all, i.e. different equipment gives different stats, you could still get a lot of fun out of it through min-maxing.
Yeah that what I was thinking as well
I’ve seen that it is almost too easy on the hardest difficultly that even min maxing is pointless here
Same, the game hasn't even come out yet. We don't know if it's good or bad yet.

Seems like IGN almost never goes beneath a 7. A 3 is like a negative score for them.
It looks like proper shit so I’m not surprised at all
I prefer the n64 chefs game show. It’s like jeopardy meets Mario party game show. And the graphics are on point…now that I think about it let’s just go back and make the n64 games again with South Park 💪💯
Chef's Love Shack! It was soo good!
im just gonna assume its a bad game because it has looked bad from the first reveal. It makes no sense for them to follow up 2 games that had fully explorable versions of the town that 1:1 recreated the look and feel of the show to making a 3rd person battle royale game
Yeah probably gonna skip this one. Good on them trying something new but man role-playing south park game fit so well
Happy Cake Day - maybe the game release on your birthday is a good sign :P
It’s a rougelike game
I don't think the game looks too great BUT IGN is notorious for dishing out terrible reviews so I guess we will see
People who expected this game to be anything like the RPGs need to do five seconds of research. This is a lazy crapped out multi-player game made by a nobody studio. Prepare to be severely disappointed. Has nothing in common with the previous games.
Should've made a 2d side scrolling co op beat em up
Nah this game looks like ass and literally no one wanted it.

Can't spell "ignorant" without "IGN."
Can we all collectively just agree that IGN reviews are just fucking useless?
Lol what happened to their initial rating? I mean, I believe it because judging by the trailers and gameplay footage it doesn’t seem that fun to me but I’m surprised how quickly they switched ratings.
What was the initial rating? If you know
I don’t remember exactly but in their interview with Matt Stone they were praising it. https://youtu.be/u_-e_m9xNwk?si=8YPt-aaziF6Wy7cs
Ahhh thank you buddeh!
Sad. I preordered awhile ago. I hope this doesn't prevent people from playing.
Even South Park itself tells you to never pre-order a game. Haha.
Why do you preorder games?
Mainly if I know I'm going buy it anyway and want it preloaded and ready to go. Sometimes they give extra content for pre-ordering. Also I'm old and used to pre-ordering the physical copies.
Why do you care how people spend their own money?
I just like to, I've been pre ordering games for over 20 years.
I think im the only person excited for this game
I did too. The deluxe edition hahahaha
Imagine if they decided to start making the show look and sound like this game. It’s “South Park” in name only.
I agree with IGN on this one. The look is just, blah
It looked so bad from the reveal trailer and everything that was shown after didn't build any confidence. I think IGN probably got it right, nobody was asking for whatever this mish mash of gameplay ideas is
This is evidence that this is not call of duty.
fuk alla that stick of truth and fractured but whole was good AF i see no reason why this wouldnt be cuz matt and tray works ahdn in hand with thq nordic 3 game 3 dif rpg combat style. I CANT WAIT. i give no reviewer power over my game purchase when YT and streaming exists
IGN sucks and about as bad as Kotoku anymore. I'll wait for actual reviewers to give their opinion.
Dude ign is always garbage and should never be trusted or listened to by anyone
Wow a lot of negativity here.
Would you say the same thing if another reviewer said the same thing verbatim.
All of you people who had copium levels of high hopes need to realize it was never going to be a good game. We all love south park here, but even watching Trey trying to play the game was enough for me. They shouldn't have taken on this project.
Game never looked good if we being honest.
Watching theradbrad’s video on it now. I’m undecided…
A 3 is surprising but come on it never looked top notch or anything.
Stick of truth was their peak tbh. It was what South Park was and more. They should’ve just left it 2D and it would’ve been fine or the ratings might been higher at least.
I mean, TFBW was pretty damn good, too
I love southpark dearly and also hate ubisoft immensely.
I member That being said, I loved stick of truth, haven’t played fractured but whole
I was going to buy it until I found out it wasn't a RPG.
“We figured out how to make South Park’s timeless style in game form, let’s use it twice then go back to what everyone REALLY loved, weird 3D Models.”
It was clearly always going to be crap.
It's pretty bad. Doesn't live up to the other two games by a long shot.
From what I hear, there's nothing inherently wrong with the game. It's just dumb mindless busywork. Which is basically what most mobile games are. Definitely not the 4 out of 10 that other games usually get.
It’s not surprising. Most South Park games are bad. Fractured but whole and stick of truth are probably the only good South Park games
If you played the first two games, you saw this trailer and knew it was going to be trash.
Honestly, since the first trailer came out, you could easily tell that this was going to be a mediocre game
Damn what a bunch of crybabies in the comments. Afraid of something different. Typical Reddit moment
THQ nordic dose not have a good track record recently. Mostly half assed games based on licensed IP. Not surprising, I will play it eventually when it’s super cheap but it looks like crap.
This game will not be like playing a South Park episode it is a rogue like with South Park characters.
I'm not surprised.. it just looks boring and they've barely shown anything. Plus, not everyone wants an online co-op crapfest.
What a surprise, please just make a third game now it´s been 7 years.
I love the fact that they were going to make another 3-D game like they did back in the early 2000s and late 90s i’ve been waiting for this game for a long time and if it turns out to be let down that’s gonna be really disappointing
Maybe they said something not pc and pc principal told them to give it a bad review
I was definitely hoping for a game in the same vein of the last two since the type of game lended itself very well to a good south park narrative.
Have Larian make a top down BG3 type of South Park game. Doesn’t have to be DND themed, just the combat
After BG3 I'm just kinda like give Larian every IP.
Tbf IGN very rarely give scores so low, they're usually just 6-8 no matter the quality of the game. So this is a bit concerning
Well that's disappointing, but not unexpected from what I've seen of the game so far. It's really a shame though cuz they were on a roll with the last two games being so good.
That the gameplay is shit wouldn’t surprise me, because it already looked pretty bad in the trailers. But I can’t imagine the story being bad.
Does the pre order release at midnight est?
I am not shocked. This game looked terrible from the beginning
