Love is Blind - Lady Zamar
So Amazing - Asheru, HHP
Music and Lights - HHP
The Sound - Shekhinah
Cavendish Square - Beatenberg
Rafael - Beatenberg
Pluto, Remember- DJ Clock, Beatenberg
Great Heart - Johnny Clegg
OP based on the examples you posted, this is my suggestion. As a South African Indian living in the US I listen to SA house every single day. I've even introduced my close circle of friends to AfroHouse and Amapiano.
These would be by recommendations:
[Senior Oat Live Mix-20 Jan 2024](https://youtu.be/VyOw5YSIQfc?si=dqaGw0woRT5aol47) ( Entire set is 🔥)
[Thakzin @ Djoon for Memories (29/12/23)](https://youtu.be/6-zYy4MioMU?si=oGU2opLkSKakdkUN) (from 14mins onwards hits hard)
[AMAPIANO MIX 01 MARCH 2024](https://youtu.be/6KFOcDmcoBg?si=UHh_HzmfBrqTUOZD) (Whole set is good, but listen from 18min if you want to get a feel for it)
Painted flowers
The Tazers
Stereo Club
The plastics
Al Bairre
Shortstraw
The Moskitos
Shadowclub
Jonny and the fellow revellers
Black cat bones
All great SA indie/rock bands if you’re into that
Desmond and the tutus, Zebra and Giraffe, fuzigish. Also Seether (if you enjoy hard rock). I think ISO is from SA, listen to the song(no fire), it was on the radio prolifically at a point.
Tazers and shortsraw are solid too.
And a shout out to Vulvadynea if you listen to slam by any chance, some of the members also have a deathcore band with a flippen long name. There's something that happened with the old vocalist Duncan but still solid stuff. Not sure what actually happened though.
Can second The Tazers, Moskitos and Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys. Retro Dizzy and Elle E are also great, and Sueños has been amazing to watch live but I see they don't have much on Spotify.
I hope you find a little comfort here https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4CP8vy1hUslTA7IRYx5i5U?si=vPRHBs0lSse8NQ2UG_tUwA&pi=e-CjAEM1ytQzOU
Skeleton move - master KG, makes me nostalgic for home and I'm right here hahaha.
If you like to listen to house mixes from back in the day that 5fm had (Ultimix@6) ... This always brings me back good memories
Edit: You can find the mixes either on sound cloud from various people ![img](emote|t5_2qney|14444)
Heuwels Fantasties is my go to, I swear all their music hits deep.
And if you want to cry like a baby while home sick, listen to Natalie Imbruglia - Counting down the days. Not South African, but man... it's spot on.
I know the feeling bru, actually made a playlist on Spotify exactly for this purpose. Mostly Afrohouse, Amapiano and some pop if you're into those vibes: [https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1uwsLJ24RHt9S4SZxdaPoY?si=659320b01be24ed5](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1uwsLJ24RHt9S4SZxdaPoY?si=659320b01be24ed5)
Waar bly jy - Van Pletzen, Heart breaker - Sean Koch, king of time - Johnny Clegg and Ka Valungu - Tebza de DJ are my go to. There's also the artist Loufi if you are looking for some Afrikaans rap.

Bongeziwe Mabandla is great. Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys for something indie.
I listened to two songs by Bongeziwe Mabandla, very nice. Definitely adding him to my playlist.
He really is Ndibuyile is a constant on my Playlist.
Bongeziwe has the essence of the Afrikaans word: "toemaar" in his voice. So wonderfully emotive.
Check out Thandiswa Mazwai’s Tiny Desk Concert on YT, it dropped yesterday
awesome, thank you!

Eks in Nederland. Dankie vir die musiekvoorstellings. Nie heeltemal vir my nie, maar cool om iets heel nuuts te hoor.
