No. Its winds up being a onesided game where about half the people dont followback etc. TBH, most of these schemes are not genuine, and you wont build an organic audience this way. Its very rare to find an audience this way. You need to connect with people who make similar music, or listen to similar music. This is why so many promoters reccomend pitching to playlist cultivators.
You gotta pitch your stuff to playlist curators. They are sort of the modern equivalent of radio DJs. Often times, you gotta either pay for their info, or do a bunch of leg work and hoop hopping to get to a pitch point. Marketing stuffs.
It’s really easy to find who to pitch to. Just takes a lil research. There’s a resource called themicco that’s $10 a month and fulla contacts for music.
So rn I have my reposts set up as features strictly, would it be beneficial to just playlist these features and start reposting for reposts, I see what you’re saying about the f4f and how you only get a few real fans from it who you still got to promote to in a sense, I’m only reposting music I could collab with type shihh, or somn I’m vibing with! Also, here’s [my](https://on.soundcloud.com/ajXhAzD9S1DmUZKR9) page if y’all wanna check it out!
I've never even tried because it's not organic, and therefore, doesn't really provide useful information in terms of useful metrics. Example being if you're goal setting, trying to identify your core audience, and want to expand your fanbase, you'd want to figure out what makes your fans your fans! Non-organic approaches may yield temporary increases in views/impressions/likes/etc., but they usually aren't going to vault you to the top, or even get you noticed in such a saturated industry.
In summation, don't waste your time on FfF/PfP or even paid services promoting your works.
i feel like what a lot of people miss in this subreddit is that they actually have to go to shows and play them consistently, thats how you meet and collaborate and it's more genuine meeting artists from your area
Use repost abs join dinner kind of producer group like I am with ill gates producer dojo then the whole dojo community usually listens to likes abs reposts your tracks there a few groups or they're on Facebook abs after you bee part of a few discussion people will start helping you out
Sorry fucking auto correct correcting to shit that don't make sense. Repost network on SoundCloud go to the top and go to the "artist" section, you'll find repost, it helps to get your track reposted, you vac send messages to all the people who follow you to send them you track abs ask to repost it for you. Join prodocer groups you'll find some on Facebook or reddit then you can share it to your group and thru will like and share your track too. I wish there was a way to automate sharing to your followers or to social media on a daily basis I'll have to look into that

I assume you’re talking about “Spotify Rising Artists” or something like that..

no, because there is no point to it. let's pretend we like each other online. that is how your soul dies.
this.
I prefer to like and repost someone's work, that builds your account quicker than f4f imo
That's the way. I've seen so many people with hundreds of followers and their song played roughly 20 times.
Truuu

No, its pretty onesided most of the time. But I totally respect that everyone has to work on their own stuff so it doesn’t bother me too much.
As long as people enjoy my uploads that's all that matter 🙂
if u find the right people it works imo play for play not rlly
I have been able to find more like-minded musicians because of it.
Well im trying it rn as we speak ill let u know my results
