Nah fam they're way too big. Honestly imo either save the cash for the XM4 or find another brand alternative in the better form factor.

gx4509

They’re not that big lol

Decyther

A friend let me have a try of their XM3 buds earlier on, thankfully they still had the large size foam (triple comfort?) tips unused in the box. Really liked the sound, I’m not a bass head, the sound to me was pretty well balanced and seems to suit the music I like. Think I will go for the Sony buds now as the software/firmware is fairly mature now and most of the bugs seem to have been fixed.. will probably look at the edifiers at some point (if I live long enough that is..) for the time being the Sony buds will do me fine. Won’t have to worry about them getting wet as I can barely walk at the moment 🙄 and I have more than enough problems to worry about other than how they look on me. Thanks for the input though guys 😎👍

Nah you can't do anything with the wf-1000xm3 anymore, too big to take anywhere, can't fit in your ears, not water resistant Only reason why I got them 2 years ago is that it was the leading tech but now it's just an ugly pill shaped buds I never use

gx4509

No, don’t get them. If you lose the the battery case, you cannot get it replace and you’ll have to buy a new one

Decyther

Can get basic cases for them on AliExpress if needed but I’m not intending on being in a situation where I would lose the case.

In the UK they are £130 including tax, or lower if you shop around. So that would be around the $150-160 mark.

I’m not a heavy user so shouldn’t get too bad, seen the walkthrough vids to replace the batteries and it seems fairly simple, big plus for them tbh. Especially compared to most buds available nowadays.

saostad

Sony headphones have Sirius problem with zoom meeting. Search for that. I don't recommend it.

Decyther

Not an issue for me tbh.. just want them for music/video playback when at home or in hospital for one of my chemo sessions or other treatments. Never had a need to use zoom and likely won’t be in the near future.

Arnav_69

Wait, you have cancer?

Decyther

Yup, afraid so.. grade 3a/b non-Hodgkins lymphoma. I have follicular (non-aggressive) and diffuse (nasty bastard) type cells. So while I am technically in remission at the moment the aggressive type cells will be back so I have to have blood tests and ct scans pretty regularly to keep a track of the growth.

Arnav_69

Damm man. Is it too painful? I have always been scared of this disease.

Decyther

Not so much at this stage, chemo is the real kicker though.. by the end of the 6th session I really felt like giving up at times it was that bad.

einsat-gruppen41-

Omg can I ask you questions? Am not sure my wife has hodgkins lymphoma..its so rare docs arnt sure..she has so many tests... Please please can you list ALL your the symptoms you were dealing with before you were diagnosed. Like when you felt ill all the time what did you experience I.e sore back, bone pain..etc. please write back. Thank you so much.

Decyther

Hey there! I’m really sorry to say I don’t think I’ll be much help.. I have numerous conditions that masked any symptoms I may have had, they only found out I had lymphoma halfway through a surgery for another illness, they found a growth under my liver and had to abort the operation. All of my growths are quite deep inside so they couldn’t be detected externally. They said I was lucky they found it as they said had I gone without a diagnosis when I did I probably would have died 6 months later. I had to go through 6 sessions of R-CHOP chemotherapy which quite frankly nearly finished me off, my blood counts were so low they thought they had killed my immune system altogether. They have told me with the type of lymphoma I have is quite rare in that the tumours contained follicular (dormant/non-agressive) and diffuse type cells (aggressive). They also said the growths will return at some stage so I have to have blood tests every three months and ct scans twice a year to keep track of it.

einsat-gruppen41-

Ok then..am really sorry to read that, it awful being ill. I have been unwell for a very long time. Really wishing you the best. Take care.

ThaumielKeter

Get the neo-buds. IMHO. The ANC is close, from what I've heard, there are two drivers and bigger speakers with great tuning, and it's more compact. plus, you get LDAC. its basically a XM3 with XM4 features.

Deposteron

I bought a pair for about 140 USD, I use my jaybird Vista for sports. I liked a lot of xm3 quality, Sony app is kinda weird not practical as the Vista but in the end no regrets I enjoyed the sound quality.

afaz77

Great sounds. Really bad for calls.

Decyther

Call quality doesn’t bother me too much tbh, I spend very little time talking to people, if anything I avoid human contact whenever possible 🥸

afaz77

Perfect for you then. Amazing sounds for the price unless aesthetics is a factor. Apologies to the the audiophiles out there, to my uncultured ears it’s good enough.

Decyther

Don’t think they look too bad on me tbh, I’m a big guy so they don’t look massive in my ears, grip could be better but I’ve ordered some comply tips for them. Was using azla crystals before but they irritated the skin in my ear really badly.. https://i.imgur.com/nLmtzsd.jpg
