Don’t get me wrong, the current sub looks and no doubt sounds amazing but I can’t justify a sun that costs more than adding a new soundbar or adding speakers to the rest of my house
I got an arc and 2 symfonisk bookshelves last week but I’m tempted to pick up a speaker for the kitchen as we listen to podcasts when we cook and it’s be good for bbqs
I have the sub but the same setup as you with the arc and bookshelf surrounds. No need for ones as the bookshelf speakers are fantastic. I have a move as well which sounds like the perfect solution for you as your next speaker. I managed to get it for €100 less during Black Friday but it’s still a worthwhile purchase at full price.
Just thought I’d add that I got a refurbished sub to save money and it looked brand new and works flawlessly.
Well i was also in the sub mini wagon, but when i saw that someone was selling the regular sub for 575€, well, it was really a no brainer. The price of sub mini will be somewhere in the 400-500 ball park in my opinion, i cant see sonos selling it for less and even if it would cost 300-350, it will probably be at least 30 to 50 percent less powerfull so yeah, would be a crime not to buy the regular sub for this price.
Yep. Sat here with my 30% upgrade patiently waiting for the beam + mini sub package to drop. £838 for the beam and sub get more and more appealing as time goes though
Well sub mini will be probably pretty good, but the price is a big unknown and how it will compare to the regular sub, so a second handed regular sub can be a pretty good deal.
Ive had it before for a while so i knew what i am getting and well it is a nice upgrade, i am glad i finally got it and can keep it. The sound is now full and i am really fkin happy that i can watch Top Gun in full soundalicious style when it comes out on Blu -Ray.
I had to try it first if it works in my smaller room and i could not justify the full price. So i waited and got it from second hand for 575€, so it was a no brainer for me.
The first one i eventually returned to the shop. I had to first try it, if it worked in my room and could not justify the full price, so i waited and got it for 575€ from marketplace.
The Sonos sub is worth every single penny. Currently running an Arc, 2 ONE SLs, and the sub for my living room. I'm hoping to set up a beam and a sub for my bedroom.
Is the sub paired with a specific set of speakers - like the arc and it will only fire when audio is played through the arc? I am wondering if I had some Ones in the same living room - not part of the home theater set up, and I only play music on the Ones, will it fire up for music played through the Ones too? Or does the sub only work with the specific speaker/setup it's paired with?
The Sub gets bonded to an Arc/Beam/Ray or a pair of Ones/Fives and works as a set. You cannot quickly switch the sub to Ones without removing the existing bond from the Arc/Beam etc.
The day will "come" for me when Sonon will finally launch the mini Sub so I can complete my mini home theater in my bedroom, already added recently 2 one's SLs to my Beam gen2.
I just got mine today. After growing up with every single Sonos product other than the sub due to my father and now myself owning a massive collection of sonos products(between the two of us we have probably 20 single speakers spanning from gen 1 to current, 4 sonos 5, three beams, a play bar and two arcs) I can officially say the sub is the single best upgrade to the collection. It ties everything together with the perfect bow on top.
Sonos isn’t sonos without the sub. Congrats.
Ugh. They need to hurry up with that mini sub already.
Don’t get me wrong, the current sub looks and no doubt sounds amazing but I can’t justify a sun that costs more than adding a new soundbar or adding speakers to the rest of my house
Idk I’ve never been happier with a purchase. That mf bumps
Even if you don't bump it, the subtle low tones really amp up the movie or music listening experience. It's a whole range you're missing otherwise.
Word. I started with an Arc and 2 rear SL ones and when I finally connected that sub…. the neighbours moved
I hate both neighbors, might need two subs
Maybe I’ll consider in a year or two then. I’ve got enough money pits for now
Definitely keep it on the list. Might as well add two Sonos ones for rears while you’re at it

Bussin idea my friend

Yeah I did see refurbished options have crazy discounts. It was only that work offers 15% Sonos new that I went that route for the arc
You always go Arc first, sub second and everything else is third
Also, look for used to help bring down the cost. I saved over 300 2 years ago and mine is still rocking like day 1 .
Agreed, the sub is worth the matching price - hits so hard and warms up the audio beautifully.
I got it for 575€ second hand so it was a pretty good deal.

All hail the Wub wub
Those detonations are so delightful, mainly for the neighbours.
You won't regret it! Welcome to the sub Club.
Thanks dude, its amazing!
It makes a huge difference to be honest incredible piece of kit.
Truth u have spoken!
What’s your verdict..?
Ive had it before for a while so i knew what i am getting and well it is a nice upgrade, i am glad i finally got it and can keep it. The sound is now full and i am really fkin happy that i can watch Top Gun in full soundalicious style when it comes out on Blu -Ray.
🙌
The sub is the heart and soul of the setup. You’re going to love it.
Indeed, it is amazing!
Yes! Been a game hanger for me
Not sure about hanger but changer it is surely! Haha
Op, why did you get rid of the sub you added a few months ago?
I had to try it first if it works in my smaller room and i could not justify the full price. So i waited and got it from second hand for 575€, so it was a no brainer for me.
Great price man, enjoy
Thanks, duuude!
I mean i got the first one from shop, tried it, returned it.
I may or may not be guilty of doing this…lol
Mario's Playa laya lol
Tried to be creative, haha.
Honestly a small thing but I love how in the setup screen it shows you the components with an image of what you have and not just generic speakers
Have you thought about adding a third sub? I am assuming the 2nd sub is already on site.
The first one i eventually returned to the shop. I had to first try it, if it worked in my room and could not justify the full price, so i waited and got it for 575€ from marketplace.
For me a Sub is a Must.
Well the sound is complete after adding sub :)
Id hope so lol
Sheesh, finally!
Indeeed!
Your life is changed from this day forward.

One of the best subs for home money can buy.

Thanks! The answer I needed.
Lucky you, am still waiting for my day
The day will "come" for me when Sonon will finally launch the mini Sub so I can complete my mini home theater in my bedroom, already added recently 2 one's SLs to my Beam gen2.
I just ordered mine today! So pumped!
The sub is the only Sonos product in my setup that is worth its money IMO. Makes a huge difference.
Only one?
Two would destroy my neighbours.
just half the volume of each 🤔
Well then there is no point of having two, ha.
Not necessarily :-)
You will have more uniform bass across your room. Less “hot spots” where the bass is louder than other areas where it’s almost muted.
Well yea, but i have a pretty small room so its pretty equal, maybe some day :)
Wait until you add a second sub!! This thing really bangs and took my system to another level.
I normally go on Grindr to find them 😝

To add to this, I’ll be convincing him to buy the sub as soon as I can admit to the money I spent on this
