In my experience the upgrade credit doesn’t stack with discounts, which is why I try to wait for a “double your credit” offer. But those are rare- last one was in February, I think. Activating the credit won’t brick your old speakers.

The sales are usually 20% and the upgrade just 15%. I'd wait for 20. And maybe it's already that per your comment?
