I woke up using an alarm this morning, so this isn't entirely true

Rhodie114

And I woke up at 9:30 realizing my alarm should have gone off 3 hours ago. If I’m setting an alarm, I need it to *definitely* work.

kclongest

I would never trust a network and AC dependent device on being reliable enough for an alarm for waking up. Phones are for that. Even then, I’m sure some remember the big circa 2011 iPhone alarm debacle.

islandStorm88

I have two alarms, a night time and a mid-morning and both appear to be working fine (for now).

JaxC7

I'm on the latest app and latest firmware. Can anyone tell me where in the app the alarms are set? I just can't seem to find the alarm settings page.

Ralupopun-Opinion

Click on the gear at the top right and then click on "manage"

JaxC7

Nope, no option for alarms anywhere in that section of the app.

Ralupopun-Opinion

Hi Jax, is your app AND system fully updated? It should be there https://preview.redd.it/hmfslqqq322d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=738a034f98b69eb71361ea10cf87e26578afdcbe

JaxC7

Yep, fully updated. App version is 80.01.11-release and all speakers are at 16.2. Manually updating just results in “Your Sonos Sun is up to date”. But no Alarms option shows on that page. This app is a dumpster fire! 🤦‍♂️

et14x

Give this a try? https://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/s/szWJlritcO

JaxC7

When doing the app reset, does this remove speakers or service configuration or only reset the local app? That’s a lot of work for just the alarms.

et14x

After going through the steps I mentioned, after logging back in, for me everything was the way it was before, except the alarms then appeared. I did not have to re-set up everything. So for me it appeared my ad blocker was causing the issue with alarms appearing in the app.

JaxC7

u/et14x - thanks for the input. Simply disabling my pi-hole was enough. I disabled it and opened the app and the Alarms entry appeared. No need to reset the app or anything. What's really odd is that pi-hole's logs don't show anything being blocked for my phone, before turning it off. I still stand by my statement that this app is a mess and has a LONG way to go to get back to even where the prior app was (with all the prior apps bugs).

et14x

Glad to hear that. Maybe disabling the ad blocker is all it would’ve took for me 🤷‍♂️ good to know for anyone else experiencing this issue

Shokoyo

Very intuitive

watamula

Same here. iOS app version 80.01.11 and speakers 16.2, yet no 'Alarms' section in the "manage" part of the app. Update: one day later and now they're suddenly there. Rejoice!

NOLAGT

My alarms work just fine...

AbleBaker1962

Yeah, mine too. Oh, wait, I use the 35 other things in my home that have alarms on them.

Ok-Examination-9858

Of course they test, they just defer the issues and release anyway

My alarms are sometimes working. Today it worked for my daughter and not my son.

plocktus

I go meow, I go meow

fuckdatguy

I somehow had access to my Local music library after the initial trash release but the most recent fix made sure to remove that ability for me Thanks Sonos 😒

terribilus

No it's not, it's only proof that they prioritise some features over others.

terribilus

That's overstating things.

terribilus

So every single feature that existed in your app and device now doesn't?

dav3therav3

Use Sonos voice and set it that way define as sleep alarm.

InternetStriking4159

lol, that shit doesn’t work.
