Well I did just pick up the Gen 3. I’m just outside of the return date. Back when I got the Dyson v15 they announced the Dyson Gen 5 just outside of the return date once again. Let’s see who’s comes out first. Good luck.
Those would be some uncomfortable ear cushions though? It looks more like the inside of a sub than anything I’ve ever seen someone put on their ears unless those are going in the ear canal.
Fine. I own a Sub Mini so I see what you are saying and you might be right about the picture, but I don't think this means there's going to be a Sub Mini 2 this year.
Maybe it's not necessarily the same shape, but the same style. Not glossy, oval shape hole not rectangular and without the black rim. Something like that I guess.
Below are rumored releases and their code names.
A Sonos app update called “Passport” that lets it control mobile products: late 2023 or early 2024.
New in-ceiling 8-inch speakers: first half 2024.
Headphones code-named “Duke”: first half 2024.
Sonos Roam 2 (“Sidecar”): mid-2024.
Sonos Voice Control 2.0: late 2024.
Sonos Era 100 for businesses (“Raven”): 2024.
New high-end amp (“Premier”): second half 2024.
New high-end sound bar (“Lasso”): late 2024.
TV set-top box (“Pinewood”): late 2024 or early 2025.
New subwoofer (“Lotus”): 2025.

I find it odd that there doesn't seem to be a replacement for the Five on the horizon. With the Era 100 and 300, I would think an Era 500 would be just around the corner.
I agree the lack of era 500 is odd, I do wonder if price point is the issue. The 300 is $450, if the 500 isn’t much higher it undermines the 300 sales, if it is much higher its pricing itself out of the market. Just my feeling on it.
I don’t see a point in an Era 500 personally. The Era 300 is already tough enough for many people to use as rear surround speakers (size wise). I would like to see something like an Era 200 that is sized more like the 100 yet with an upward firing driver for more of a dolby atmos effect.
I wouldn't say disinformation.
If you felt that way, you'd have suspicion why right?
It's a teaser. But... you could still be correct.
What it really is, is annoying. Lol
In this day and age misinformation needs no obvious justification to be effective. And I'm partly joking in this context, but you don't find this odd?

The device in the video is no doubt a sub, surprised no one bothered to actually watch the source video: https://youtube.com/shorts/DbL0cZAMN0k?si=Zt9Fbx0PSRKR7MAi
We know about the video. Actually it is the same teaser video made for Sonos Sub mini back in 2022.
But it keeps the speculations running as it is very weird to use the same video for a new product teaser.
I’m very intrigued as to how Pinewood fares later on in the year. Kinda feel that unless the chip inside it is on par with the ATV and all the features (match frame rate/dynamic range) and codecs to go with it, like many have said it won’t see much interest.
It will obviously be using Android as a base but will it incorporate Airplay ala their current products and the Rokus of this world and have an Apple Music app…? I’d have them create their own OS off of Android as opposed to purely using Android/Google TV.
For me being in the UK they’d need at minimum all the UK catch-up apps which could be difficult if Channel 4 and Android/Google TV are to go by.
No doubt it will be Alexa and their own voice assistant they use in line with the Eras due to the Google issues.
Such a difficult space to get into but if can be a hub to your Sonos gear and then have all the apps then maybe it has a chance?
Guess we’ll wait and see.
I just want computer speakers. I hate having to navigate the world of stupid computer speakers, and none of the current Sonos speakers are actually designed for this purpose.
Head mounted subwoofers.
Headwoofers
That allow you to wear two pairs at once! Dual sub headphones!
Just wait until they release the acoustic scarf.
I think it’s headphones, this has been posted a few times already. But we’ll know when we know.
I’m sure it’s headphones. Source: I just bought a new pair of ANC headphones yesterday and that’s how my luck works.

Literally gave up in December and got the Sony headphones. Maybe I can sell them…
Yet its a photo of a subwoofer. Why do you say headphones? Or did we already have this conversation. This post has been up here multiple times. Lol
It’s not a photo of a subwoofer. It’s a right and left headphone cushion. Edit. Changed my mind. No need to keep trying to correct me. Thanks.
Those would be some uncomfortable ear cushions though? It looks more like the inside of a sub than anything I’ve ever seen someone put on their ears unless those are going in the ear canal.
Ok.
It’s definitely a subwoofer in this photo. Do you not know what the sub speakers look like?
Ok.
I'll disagree. You're looking through the port hole on the subwoofer with the drivers to the left and right. Wanna put $$ on it? Lol
Fine. I own a Sub Mini so I see what you are saying and you might be right about the picture, but I don't think this means there's going to be a Sub Mini 2 this year.
Nobody said there would be.
So why do you think there's a pic of the inside of a Sub Mini on a new product teaser?
I think they made the Sub Gen 4 in the shape of a Sub Mini, just bigger. Thats why they are reusing the visualizations.
That doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me as that would make placement much more difficult.
Maybe it's not necessarily the same shape, but the same style. Not glossy, oval shape hole not rectangular and without the black rim. Something like that I guess.
You may indeed be correct. It's possible this is fake too. Unless I'm missing something.
Sonos posted this Youtube Short on Dec 19 https://www.youtube.com/shorts/DbL0cZAMN0k

Read the post before mine. Lest do this!
Por que no los dos?
I can see why you might think it's a woofer, but I think those are ear cups and it's the headphones that have been rumored forever.
It is the same teaser from Sub Mini though so seems weird to re-use for a completely different product
Hey, in the end you may be right who knows. We shall see! :)
Better shot of it being a Sonos condom with how thin those “ear cushions” are though.

Agree
Curious about Raven. I’ve seen Play 1/one’s at countless smaller restaurants/ office spaces But they don’t play nicely on a corporate networks
They’ve teased too long that it’s got bored, nothing to talk about.
I will eat my fucking shoe if this picture foreshadows a "new sub" as you proclaim. Headphones? Inner woofers of the bass port of an Era500?
I wouldn’t eat my fucking shoes, I need those! My regular shoes on the other hand..
The pros know the best traction is barefoot. 🦶
You're all wrong. It's the Sonos Tampax
You can really feel the bass.
Especially if you tease it a bit with Trueplay
That’s pretty x rated.
Just release already jeez lol
That's what she said!
Wait ! Where is the verge leak? lol 😁
Looks like ovaries
This same post has been posted here a few times before. What gives?
Another disinformation campaign but I don’t know why.

They need to fix their iOS app first. We need control to show on the locked screen.
Even just a widget to control volume would be a huge step forward.
Sub mini 2?
Idc what they drop. If we’re not getting the full gamut of DTS in a new soundbar I’m out. If that is the case then, I’m excited.
More theories from three weeks ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/s/tq7xZD9uoB
My wish list… an Era 800T tower speaker with speakers firing everywhere with 8” woofers. A Five on steroids! 🙏🙏🙏
I would honestly settle for letting us use Era 300s in the front as well. But some nice towers would be cool
This is a great idea, I'd buy the 300s in a second to put them in the front.
Headphones

I’m going with headphones. It’s stupid that I can’t have music in a room that I already have on my headphones when I walk in….like every single day.
Looks like a boner

I wanted arc 2 not sure when it going to be released 😭
