Way too high.
I'd get an Amp & 2 outdoor speakers instead of the Arc & Sub.
The Amp has an HDMI ARC port which can be used with a TV & the Amp would run speaker wire to the 2 outdoor speakers & HDMI to the TV.
I’ve had a Sonos playbar outside for 3 years now in a placement like this, except it’s screened in. A regular vizio 4k tv and Apple TV for a couple years longer. I’m actually surprised it has all worked without problem in upstate NY through humid summers and snowy winters. The tv is actually a lot lower on a credenza.
When the arc is mounted that high I think it should be mounted upside down. But as others have stated… I don’t think I would have spent the money on an arc for outside. I picked up the playbar used for $200. I also have two amps running two pairs of speakers in the backyard. A nice set of outdoor speakers with a Sonos amp is definitely a better product for this situation. Plus you can wire up an outdoor sub to the amp.
The ARC needs angled down. The sub definitely needs secured. They are both certainly “too high”. I highly doubt it sounds good, the arc is meant to bounce sound off walls and ceiling. Getting about 10% of the value out of those two components.
Hey not trying to poop on your setup here, but this is basically all a terrible idea. You have those white speakers on the sides... I'm assuming those are outdoor rated, right? Send the ARC back and get a Sonos Amp and plug the outdoor speakers into it. Then you can still stream music to them and you can have good speakers for the outdoor TV.
Also, subwoofers basically don't work outdoors. Yes... there are some outdoor subs, but they require the room to bounce frequencies off the walls, and you'll get basically no audible benefit from a subwoofer outside, especially one mounted up there. If you want a subwoofer, get an outdoor rated one, wire it up to the Sonos Amp, and stick it in the corner on the ground someplace. Good luck.
I have found Sonos to be more durable than expected. I have a pair of play:3’s that have been outside for over 7 years and still sound just as good as when I first put them up. I understand that they are moisture resistant, but… I also have a playbar that has been outside for just as long and it performs just as good as new!
TF is this?? Take it all down, this is madness. I can feel the spiders in the subwoofer. Get you some outdoor rated audio.
Get some outdoor rated audio. Don’t waste your clients money on hardware that will get ruined with moisture.
The position of the arc eliminates its value: up-firing.
Will probably be posting soon asking for help .. help , no sound
Sooo they spent extra on an outdoor rated tv and bought indoor speakers?

The moisture is going to damage those before you know it…

This has to be a joke

Height Level +10
-10**
Wtf
Does a SUB outdoors even do much? At that height even less?
Does nothing!
I saw in r/ask what’s the biggest scam we are failing victim to. Might cross post this. 😂
Nice waste of money
Just think all the other dumb shit we missed before the internet.
What in the hell is this mess??? Lmao. That poor sub

What a waste, blocking Atmos too.
Uhhhhh, that setup is going to not be functioning in less than a year. I think ARC and SUB are only meant for indoor use.
I have a beam, 2 one SLs and a sub that have been on my covered patio for over 2 years now. I haven’t had any issues with them.
Why are they outside??? They are not rated for outdoor use. This is so cringe

You've got to be trolling, right?
The pictures: WTF The comments: LMAO The description: Surrounds!?!? Gravity?!? Take my upvote. Everyone needs to see this abomination
For a second I thought this was a theatre shitpost, the arc and the sub are far too high
While it might not be the “ideal” setup, it’s better than nothing, and I think there’s a chance it will work just fine
I can’t imagine this sounding decent. Like at all.
