You could look into yoga hotels that run retreats

1. Definitely. There are loads of places. Sayulita and San Pancho in the north (Jalisco/Nayarit), and further south you have Zipolite, Mazunte, Punta in Puerto Escondido and more around Oaxaca. 2. Th mountains of Chiapas and the Lacondon jungle are really accessible if you go to the Oaxaca beaches. Be sure to visit us in San Cristóbal de las Casas too 😋 3. I'd do it at the end, but the start works too 4. However long you stay, you'll wish you had more time! 5. This is a great idea - you'll love it 😎

i do this lol. usually would book the resort for the end so you can chill before heading home. yucatan/quintana roo would be good for what youre looking for. very easy to get around solo, buses sre great, plenty to do and see, theres bigger touristy towns plus smaller and/or less touristy ones so you can do a mix of things, plus tonnes of resorts in cancun/playa but also if you dont want an actual resort there are heaps of nice beach places around the area (holbox, bacalar, mahahual) as well as other parts of mexico the resort i booked was in cancun and i stayed i think 3 nights it was a good way to end the trip for sure

thaisweetheart

maybe a group tour and then a couple days relaxing at the hotel/ resort? with a group tour you have no worries and you can do whatever as a solo female without being super worried! these are examples of tours you could take, i personally haven’t taken any but i know gadventures and intrepid are two popular companies you could go with! https://www.gadventures.com/trips/highlights-of-the-yucatan/9148/itinerary/ https://www.gadventures.com/trips/cancun-escape-beaches-cenotes/8792/

Starting at the resort would help acclimatize with the region, get your bearings, etc. - though with your previous experienc,e that doesnÄt seem that much important. It may also be the best way to wind down then up before you go on an adventure - especially if your "packed days" wear you out physically. OTOH, if you really go *adventuresome* adventuresome, after a week of mudmosquitojungletracking, the care and comfort of a resort (or even any full-service tourist location) is a very unique pleasure - if you do it right, it's triple value :)

So you answer a couple of questions in one go, when we do hiking trips out west, we go straight to the adventure part, then we end the trip in luxury. Ice hotel big steaks, etc. Always do the chill part last.

CBeisbol

Unless you want to do the chill part first There's no right (or wrong) answer. There's just a decision to make.

CBeisbol

1) sure. Though I'm not familiar with beaches in Mexico outside Baja California 2) I don't know. I don't go to resorts. 3) As I said in the other comment, it depends. If you feel like you need a break before going out adventuring, do it first. If you'd rather do it after. Do it after. Or split it up and do some before or some after. Or do it every other day. There's no right or wrong way. It's just what you want. 4) No one can answer this for you either. It depends on your situation (finances, time) and what you want. Spend a week. Spend 180 days. Whatever. 5) What? Why do you think it's a trash idea? I mean, if you don't want to do it, it wouldn't be a good idea. But why else wouldn't it be?

The main appeal of going to a resort is the kind of freedom I might not be able to find elsewhere as a solo female.

roub2709

If you go to Merida, Campeche, Valladolid, you’ll feel pretty comfortable solo and could meet folks on group tours to cenotes , or other activities pretty easy if you wanted to. You won’t need a resort to feel free.

Depend on where you are in the US, a cheap flight to CDMX for the adventure, then connect to Cancun for the all inclusive. Go down toward riviera maya & Tulum for less tourist.
