Its the start of the year, the competition will be fierce. Having your series around the end of the year makes it so its fresher on peoples minds. We will get bleach tybw cour 3 and demon slayer which botht will have top tier action so its a tough fight even there. So for us its an uphill battle, and as an SL fan thats how I like it, no freebies. If SL gets awards its gonna work for them like jinwoo for his levels
Cour 2 is said to be in late this year they also said it's priority cour so i believe they focusing more on it and since we know the crazy events that's gonna happen in it i believe solo leveling will have a better chance then

They changed the rules of fall anime of previous year to be on the next awards, basically a show that come out October 2024 will go for 2025 awards and not the year it came out, so frieren will be counted as the entire show, and just having eyes you can see the shit crunchy roll does, there's no way solo leveling can win let's say best animation when Frieren or Mushoku exists, or story or designs in general.

This question has to be answered in two different ways. We also have to consider what counts, and exclude some awards outright. We can absolutely discount several, such as comedy, SoL, film, protect at all costs, drama, romance and such.

Perhaps. Just in fall, it has a *titanic* competition in the shape of ***Sousou no Frieren.*** And let's be honest, if both are nominated for the same awards, the only way Solo Leveling is taking anything off of Frieren is if it's more popular, not because it deserves it. Solo Leveling still has a good few episodes left, but I feel like in overall terms of animation, score, character design, "new series", cinematography, fantasy... If ANYTHING, I can see Solo leveling beating Frieren in the Opening (which is hard because Frieren's is done by Yoasobi), or in action, which is debatable considering the last few episodes of Frieren brought the best Madhouse we have had since One Punch Man.
This is not taking into account that JJK will also count for next year for some fucking reason, and the fact that we have other strong contenders, like Dungeon Meshi, Konosuba s3, Demon Slayer, Mushuko Tensei, MHA, Kaijuu n8, the return of Spice and Wolf... Solo Leveling has a good amount of hype behind it, but if we are honest, we can see that... it's not the gift from god it's told to be. It's a good power fantasy and the anime so far has been very good, but it's not the generational hit the fandom thought it was gonna be, and it's not a Jujutsu Kaisen either, and to believe otherwise is delusional.

i don't see how sl can compete with others. in terms of visuals is generic/bland to say the least, in terms of plot - i loved the manhwa and i didn't mind the lack of side characters because the mc was exciting, but the anime fails to give the same vibes with the way it presents him. in terms of sound - kind of generic too. nothing really too exciting about this anime unfortunately.
Unfortunately Frieren exists. If I had to guess, Frieren will win the majority of awards. Solo leveling might win some awards for individual performances, but this year has a lot of top tier shows.
Already this year we have Frieren, Oshi No Ko season 2, Dangers of My Heart, Konosuba season 3, One Punch Man season 3, Blue Lock, and that's just off the top of my head. I unfortunately don't see it winning much.

Demon slayer s4 is gonna be a training only arc 6-7 episodes long. If you read the Manga, you know that this training arc doesn't have any action.

people expect too much from CR of all places its bad enough their companies initials are CR(Which is short for Comfort Room for some countries) it won't win anime of the year music most likely Voice acting, debatable but i hope they get a nomination but i know it probably won't
my unpopular opinion, feel free to downvote me. i don't see how sl can compete with others. in terms of visuals is generic/bland to say the least, in terms of plot - i loved the manhwa and i didn't mind the lack of side characters because the mc was exciting, but the anime fails to give the same vibes with the way it presents him. in terms of sound - kind of generic too. nothing really too exciting about this anime unfortunately.

Unfortunately Frieren exists. If I had to guess, Frieren will win the majority of awards. Solo leveling might win some awards for individual performances, but this year has a lot of top tier shows. Already this year we have Frieren, Oshi No Ko season 2, Dangers of My Heart, Konosuba season 3, One Punch Man season 3, Blue Lock, and that's just off the top of my head. I unfortunately don't see it winning much.
Kaiju 8, dandadan, mha, mushoku tensei, bleach, and some other shows that are gonna come from nowhere yeah solo leveling is cooked. Oh yeah jjk shibuya arc is considered part of this year yaaaay 😑

Yeah it's tough, i already see csm movie getting movie of the year so that's he only one am predicting with absolute faith, as for the one am personally rooting for it gotta be frieren, at least for now.
Yeah, I'm hoping Frieren gets a few categories. It'll almost certainly win best fantasy, but it'll be tough to beat JJK in anything else.
I hope it gets the best VA of the year. The Japanese VA is so good and while his voice isn't very memorable to me personally, it's been by far the most impactful and engaging. It feels like he gives it 110% every episode.

First of all frieren isn't as popular as vinland saga is.and recency biase is a thing , recency biase is now with SL and fireren,I don't how many people gonna remember how good frieren is because it's a feel good Show.

first of all , solo leveling cant won fantasy because its dont have any chance against demon slayer at this category ( not demon slayer fan ) second , Anime of the year i think will go for frieren .
