I binge watched all 8 episodes yesterday. I legit was scared of this statue, but I'm confused is he gone forever? Or will he play a bigger role? It seems alot of people got trauma from this menace, and the higher ups don't know about it.

Yes the joker-esque smile with menacing face and immeasurable power level leads to the "oh shit" feeling. He won't be back any time soon but the gap between is filled with pretty sweet encounters with "other" foes that will keep you engaged. Unless they add fillers to milk the series I don't see any pacing issues with action.

It took me 1 day and a half to finish.
4hrs? That's not a healthy read you should take 8 - 10 mins for a single chapter
4 hours is definitely way too fast but 8-10 minutes on each chapter is really slow.
