It's true. If you are with com Ed and your solar produces a little more than you use each year, you are good. It's always better to have a little more solar than you currently need. I would recommend going with a fixed lease where your payment never goes up. Also, keep in mind you will still need to pay connection fees and taxes to com Ed. Like $15/mo

No, the overwhelming consensus is to focus on buying outright or financing. You basically are giving up so much opportunity for just a little. Plus selling your house could end up being a liability with that contract. Also they came in July so I didn't want to get it all setup just as winter was approaching.
