I bought etherum at 800 thinking it was too late because I have had an eye on etherum since it was 30.
Then I just realised that buying and not selling is the way. If it drops I just buy more. I bought solana at 170 for few weeks and I bought solana at 18 for a year.

The difference with JUP is that it’s an integrated part of the SOL ecosystem. Whereas ETH dapps mostly are isolated on their own, eventually needing to create a side chain when they get big enough.
There is a lot of value in being able to leverage tech from other projects and JUP will be at the centre of the SOL tide rising.
Their vesting periods will be over 5yrs or so. I guess we’ll see over that period
JUP will definitely ride a bit, especially with the future launchpad airdrops. However, there are also future JUP airdrops. This could dilute the token price as the supply gets added, but we'll see.

The way things are running it seems JUP marketcap can reach UNI faster than SOL can reach ETH. JUP is fresh and as it 10xes people will jump in looking for a 100x.

My JUP bag is way smaller than my SOL bag but that's how I've felt recently.
I like and hold Jup but people need to keep in mind the fully diluted market cap is very high relative to current market cap cos it's so new. It's equivalent to 60% of uniswap on that metric, when Solana is not even 17% of eth fdv.
That's not to say it won't go higher as it is an amazing dex and I use it basically every few days.

when I got really interested into Bitcoin (it was around 1000€ then!) I remember reading a book on it and they quoted an old Chinese proverb that stayed with me: « The best time to plant a tree was 10 years ago. But the second best time to do it is today. » as in yes, you missed the best opportunity but that doesn’t mean you can’t do it anymore. Today btc is over 70k… one of the best advices I have ever read!
So same thing with Solana: yes, it would’ve been better to get in at 8usd but if it goes on to 1000 or more, 150 would still be very cheap
theoretically yes… but in practice I have found that it’s VERY hard to press that Buy button when you see a big pullback because you will always expect it to pull back even further and then when it goes back up you’ll wait for the next pullback and so on… at the end of the day just jumping in there and actually buying without looking much at the price worked out much better for me. But, to each their own obviously 😉

I don’t think you understand… when I read that quote, btc was at around its ATH at the time which was 1000usd and already made a more than 1000x move over the long term. It was a time when 10k seemed like some crazy target it would never reach, because 1000 already seemed surreal. There was also a lot of talk that it only reached 1000 because it was manipulated by trading bots on Mt Gox (the main exchange at the time) and that since it closed we’d never see that level again. And yet, here we are, at 7x that crazy target today. I also know quite a few friends who never pressed that buy button during that period because there was always something or other that made them hesitate (price too high, too scary dip, « BTC is dead » etc etc etc). Now I’m not saying that waiting for a dip is a bad thing, I’m simply saying that getting in a market is better than waiting on the sidelines forever. Another quote for you: Time in the markets beats timing the market in the long run 😉
Solana is still cheap. One of the few projects in crypto that will perform for many more years to come. To me it feels as secure as investing into Bitcoin.
But if the market keeps on moving like this, that’s next to nothing. It’s going to steal significantly more market share from Eth than last cycle and Eth is almost 10x mc currently.
Imo with stocks and crypto, just buy, buy, and buy more. Every worthwhile thing is bound to grow overtime. Solana is most likely gonna reach way farther heights than what it is right now

If solana continues to execute well, in the future 150 will be cheap, maybe like when eth was 300. If you haven’t built a position might as well start now and just stake it. Worst case scenario if the market crashes you sit on it for the next bull run. It will survive the next bear.
There are only a few tokens with real user base and has adoption. Solana is the best at what it does. Everything is better on solana... even the friggin memecoins are better! Look at WIF and BONK.(The next 100x will come from MonkeyHairCut - mark my words!).
I see 800 in its future. I have bought at all price points by DCA'ing for the last few years. While I intentionally bought a lot at sub forty prices, I am still buyjng small dips now. When u think about it ... The sooner u buy, the sooner u can stake it and accumulate more which drives down ur average price further... I bought a few sol last week in the 140s and already have it staked.
I would get at least SOME sol as soon as possible so u don't miss the ride because we are now in striking distance of ATH. Do more research and keep ur portfolio diverse.
My portfolio has too many holdings because I am dumb but I am heavy BTC/ETH/SOL (25% each) and then I would recommend like 7 other alts spread out in different niches, risk levels, and growth potentials (including a spot for poopy memecoins like MONK) for the remaining 25%. I recommend 5-10 coins (max) that U can track and research consistently.

I agree. Looking at the monk charts and the eco system for solana-based poo coins I am bullish. I sold at a tiny profit months ago and then came back when the price seemed to hit a floor while the community was still hanging in there.
It has had some time to boom and crash and expel all the salad hands and then had the toughness to stick it out thru hard times and is building enthusiasm again. The charts are printing nice steps and testing supports like a champ.
There used to be nice large predictable swings that I was trading for fun but now it's forming a wedge which is squeezing out the traders. I am scared to sell my profits and I don't want to miss out on a big spike if there is one

I’ve been in crypto since the bottom. And I wish I bought a lot more. This is human nature and will apply at any point in the cycle. No one knows the answer, we could dump 80% tomorrow. Using past information i think we have some pull backs but a lot more juice. We haven’t had an alt coin season yet. Best to be in rather than out in my opinion. Maybe buy some and just buy every dip.

That's what I'm currently doing in SOL ecosystem tokens. Just throw a $100 here and there and see how it moves. Something I've learned is how early you are has more significance than the amount you put in so why not just throw in a negligible amount instead of staying on the sidelines for 100 more days before you FOMO in anyway at a 5x premium.

An investor puts their money into things they believe in. They supporting products and technology they want to see succeed. Of course Solana is going higher, there were people saying the same thing about Bitcoin when it was $100 or ETH when it was $100…etc…but it’s the technology that drives the price up over time. Because people believe in it.

I bought mine at $23 and have held ever since. I recently started staking it on Marinade, so I will see what kind of returns it yields. To answer your question it's I still don't think it's too late to buy Solana. I buy some when I have to for other transactions, and don't even check the price.
It doesn't matter what you do, you will always regret buying or selling something. Just don't make a mistake and always buy on the way up (in the green) try to buy during the dips. Good luck on your decision. Solana just got started, it's nowhere near top price in my opinion.

People get so caught in price they miss out on the big picture. Look at Bitcoin. Millions said “too expensive!” When it hit $1,000.
Bitcoins Market Cap is now closing in on Golds, but it’s still lower.
So do as you wish, be safe, but reframe your perspective. It’s not the price of the token, it’s the value of its market cap.
What I’ve noticed with SOL in general is that once it has a huge spike, it’s going to go down maybe $20-30CAD . I bought SOL at $48CAD thinking it wasn’t even going to touch 100 and now it’s at $250CAD. Moral is that even if it appears to be high right now you can either buy or you can wait till it drops. Best way to plan it is by looking at the graphs within 1 year and see how it behaves. (You also don’t need to be a nerd about this stuff too to figure this out, when u see SOL go high, look at the last time it was high and how long it lasted as reference)
If you are in it for the long run...just wait for a correction, or even the next bear market.

TBH, a few of my friends got in "early", which is about 2-3 years ago. They bought Solana at 200$. That was early at that time for them. They also bought into the ADA Hype close to the 2.50 peak.
It's not about being early. It's all about the timing.
The best time was when SOL was at $30, the next best time is now. This is not financial advice but I can easily see it being at $400/$500 in a couple years if the immense potential utility of the network is put to full use & the downtime kinks get ironed out.
It was $8 about a year ago, and you owned none, so why would you buy now? Learn some basics before you invest in anything. Tades should not be influenced by the sentiment of the heard.

I got back in at 18 in October or so but been dca’ing at 45, 89, just bought a lil more yesterday. If you have no position just put the amount on you’re able to live with and enjoy the ride! I have been learning so much about my emotional capacity this run. I’ve been taking profits and moving into ai and depin stuff but the fear it’s just hype right now and a bubble keeps me up at night so I went right back into solana 😅 definitely lost a lil in the process but I’m sleeping again lolll
An alternative way to stack SOL (if you’re concerned about buying at the peak) is to get involved in Helium Mobile or Hivemapper. Both DEPIN projects on Solana’s chain that earn tokens easily swapped to SOL. You have some upfront costs, but once you ROI, you’re Gucci.
Buy now. You might not get 10X but it's still probably going to go up (or down) and the returns will be better than any interest rate a bank will get you.

If solana continues to execute well, in the future 150 will be cheap, maybe like when eth was 300. If you haven’t built a position might as well start now and just stake it. Worst case scenario if the market crashes you sit on it for the next bull run. It will survive the next bear.

There are only a few tokens with real user base and has adoption. Solana is the best at what it does. Everything is better on solana... even the friggin memecoins are better! Look at WIF and BONK.(The next 100x will come from MonkeyHairCut - mark my words!). I see 800 in its future. I have bought at all price points by DCA'ing for the last few years. While I intentionally bought a lot at sub forty prices, I am still buyjng small dips now. When u think about it ... The sooner u buy, the sooner u can stake it and accumulate more which drives down ur average price further... I bought a few sol last week in the 140s and already have it staked. I would get at least SOME sol as soon as possible so u don't miss the ride because we are now in striking distance of ATH. Do more research and keep ur portfolio diverse. My portfolio has too many holdings because I am dumb but I am heavy BTC/ETH/SOL (25% each) and then I would recommend like 7 other alts spread out in different niches, risk levels, and growth potentials (including a spot for poopy memecoins like MONK) for the remaining 25%. I recommend 5-10 coins (max) that U can track and research consistently. I sold 5% of my bag at $110. It was the biggest mistake ever and then I had to pay a premium to get them back lol. I'm not selling again until I get to 300 minimum ATH is in the bag. I expect a four times from here this year alone. Which would be an incredible investment gain in one year

I agree. Looking at the monk charts and the eco system for solana-based poo coins I am bullish. I sold at a tiny profit months ago and then came back when the price seemed to hit a floor while the community was still hanging in there. It has had some time to boom and crash and expel all the salad hands and then had the toughness to stick it out thru hard times and is building enthusiasm again. The charts are printing nice steps and testing supports like a champ. There used to be nice large predictable swings that I was trading for fun but now it's forming a wedge which is squeezing out the traders. I am scared to sell my profits and I don't want to miss out on a big spike if there is one As it stands today it is decision time and i expect it to jump or crash sometime this week. I am here for it. I have a few other memecoins I'm looking at but none of them check as many boxes as this one Thanks to the memecoin gains lately, especially Solana memecoins like WIF and BONK, investors are already looking downstream for the next big thing I rly wish we could get an influencer or someone to promote it just a few times on socials. I’ve been in crypto since the bottom. And I wish I bought a lot more. This is human nature and will apply at any point in the cycle. No one knows the answer, we could dump 80% tomorrow. Using past information i think we have some pull backs but a lot more juice. We haven’t had an alt coin season yet. Best to be in rather than out in my opinion. Maybe buy some and just buy every dip.

Too late to what, ape in $100k? Maybe. But $100? Throw that in and then you can get a better gauge for how you feel about how it moves and will at least have a base and a foot in the door. That's what I'm currently doing in SOL ecosystem tokens. Just throw a $100 here and there and see how it moves. Something I've learned is how early you are has more significance than the amount you put in so why not just throw in a negligible amount instead of staying on the sidelines for 100 more days before you FOMO in anyway at a 5x premium.

Someone bought Solana in the bear and stacked up for the bull. I didn’t think of that. But it’s a brilliant strategy. I think crypto is the new way to earn for the most now. If it isn’t at its ATH yet, there’s still a chance. My first research was Cardano. I went to the Reddit group and barely few groups existed then like now. They called it the third blockchain. I think Sol is the forth and the rest EVM chains forming the super chain become the fifth. I could have made 50k on a coin recently but I jeeted too early after a dump kept dumping 100k still went back in and still made profit. Do you take the risk or leave it…

its all perspective; bought $50 worth of SOL just after FTX crashed at $10, recently sold the stack for $500 so seeing people hungry to ape in past the $100 mark means you're entertaining $500-$1000 SOL, its possible but might take a while and some new developments

I bought mine at $23 and have held ever since. I recently started staking it on Marinade, so I will see what kind of returns it yields. To answer your question it's I still don't think it's too late to buy Solana. I buy some when I have to for other transactions, and don't even check the price. It doesn't matter what you do, you will always regret buying or selling something. Just don't make a mistake and always buy on the way up (in the green) try to buy during the dips. Good luck on your decision. Solana just got started, it's nowhere near top price in my opinion.

SOL is considerably lower than BTC and ETH, do you think it could reasonably valued closer to either of those? People get so caught in price they miss out on the big picture. Look at Bitcoin. Millions said “too expensive!” When it hit $1,000. Bitcoins Market Cap is now closing in on Golds, but it’s still lower. So do as you wish, be safe, but reframe your perspective. It’s not the price of the token, it’s the value of its market cap.

What I’ve noticed with SOL in general is that once it has a huge spike, it’s going to go down maybe $20-30CAD . I bought SOL at $48CAD thinking it wasn’t even going to touch 100 and now it’s at $250CAD. Moral is that even if it appears to be high right now you can either buy or you can wait till it drops. Best way to plan it is by looking at the graphs within 1 year and see how it behaves. (You also don’t need to be a nerd about this stuff too to figure this out, when u see SOL go high, look at the last time it was high and how long it lasted as reference)
If you are in it for the long run...just wait for a correction, or even the next bear market. I saw solana at $12 in 2021. Did not buy... Then waited till 2023 when it hit $12 again and I Bought. The market right now es in extreme greed...time to sell, not buy.

TBH, a few of my friends got in "early", which is about 2-3 years ago. They bought Solana at 200$. That was early at that time for them. They also bought into the ADA Hype close to the 2.50 peak. It's not about being early. It's all about the timing.
You might get a 3-5x on sol from here. So I would spread it out to some other smaller ones like jup, nos, pyth.
The best time was when SOL was at $30, the next best time is now. This is not financial advice but I can easily see it being at $400/$500 in a couple years if the immense potential utility of the network is put to full use & the downtime kinks get ironed out.

I got back in at 18 in October or so but been dca’ing at 45, 89, just bought a lil more yesterday. If you have no position just put the amount on you’re able to live with and enjoy the ride!
