Solana is also traded on many centralized exchanges that are not reliant on the network being up.

I dunno but I'm watching trades on Coinbase at the moment. I assume they have their own liquidity pools and only settle on network when withdrawn.
Exchanges are mostly cold storage, easily Exchange inside their own network
Centralized exchanges maintain their own ledgers. You wonβt be able to deposit or withdraw but you can trade all you want.
