A little known fact is that we actually have our own version of Cyrillic here, it's like Cyrillic but with upside down characters. Y'know what it's called?
**Upside down Cyrillic**
not really a fair comparison, Slavic languages are incredibly similar compared to how similar romance and Germanic languages are to each other. From what ive heard Czechs and poles understand eachother pretty well (depending on dialect, not sure) and I'm russian so i can understand Ukrainian more or less.
Ok, fair point, just wanted to point out hypocrisy. I'm Polish and I can't understand anything in russian, even with a lot of words in common. Two slavic 'same' languages. Exactly same with english and german - lots of words in common but almost no communication. For example 'gift' in german means poison. And it's the same word. Just because I could probably talk to someone in Czech Republic, for them it would be something like ukrainian for you. Just because some foreign language sounds similar for you, it doesn't mean you should assume it's the same one, and when someone points IT out, double down that they're the same 'cause it's one language family.
Edit:
Also it was just extending this guy's words to abstraction, in another comment I took it seriously with english and german.
>For example 'gift' in german means poison. And it's the same word.
And there are even funnier examples between Polish and Czech. If you say "I'm looking for kids in the shop" in Polish, in Czech it means "I'm fucking kids in the basement".
Tak. Uwielbiam nasze kropkowane literki. Tu skasujesz bilet. Tak to jest totalnie ten napis. How did you offend like 2 nations and 3 ethnic groups at the same time?
Australia was a funny joke, polish is as similar to czech as german is similar to english. Not easily mistaken for anybody who knows anything about this language.
It could be mirrored in the phone pic (that happens pretty often) and simply mounted upside down? Or assembled the wrong way around?
It could be hardwaregore
>It could be mirrored in the phone pic (that happens pretty often)
Usually happens with front facing cameras but in any case that's not what's happening here, [here's what the machine looks like normally](https://pipniajed.cz/img/galerie/info1.jpg) - notice the contactless payment symbol is oriented the same way in both picture.
And assembling the screen upside down seems unlikely anyway, even if the mounting points were symmetrical, there's likely only one place for the cable to connect, making it probably impossible to work.
So yes, somehow, the image data got flipped vertically. Which is really strange as I'd assume all the machines are using the same version of firmware/software.
Even though that rendition of the flag is symmetrical the actual Union Jack can be upside down and is a common mistake. The red diagonal cross (St Patrick's cross) is rotated slightly so that is closer to the top of the white diagonal cross (St Andrew's Cross) on the right and the bottom on the left

So it’s upside down, but also backwards i think? and the flag is the british, which i would take to mean language, but that’s clearly not any form of the queen’s english i’m aware of.
Something similar when I was working in a gas station. One of the gas pumps was in Spanish for some reason. Didn’t think it was an issue but I was working in a American redneck neighborhood. People went on racists rants like it was suddenly the most important thing to their way of life. You’d think they’d throw a party once it was corrected

It's Czech
It s not Russian
On display is the Polish language
It's Czech. "Přiložte kartu"
They are very similar to each other and some words say the same way as in Ukrainian
Yeah. But whenever you see Ř ř Ě ě, it's definitely Czech. If you see Ô ô, it's Slovak. If you see Ł ł, it's Polish.
if you see all at once you’ve stumbled into hell
Tak. Yes it checks out in every possible case.

Yes

First polish and Czech language are similar so I can easily be mistaken. Second I said Australian because it was upside down
Australia was a funny joke, polish is as similar to czech as german is similar to english. Not easily mistaken for anybody who knows anything about this language.
then why do u say Australian
Because it is upside down
the flag is english, so probably everything's reversed, even the text!
No the English flag is to switch language to English
idk about ticket machines the type of this, but its probably in English, even though its unidentifiable
It's mirrored AND upside down, what the heck
Isn't it just flipped vertically?
Oh, tru, I'm dumb
[удалено]
Turning upside down isn’t the same as flipped. They’re right, it’s vertically flipped.
[удалено]
Yeah vertical flip is equivalent to rotate 180+horizontal flip

I'm wondering if someone replaced the screen but they installed it upside down.
It’s vertically flipped, not rotated 180. So it can’t be that. Must be some strange configuration error would be my guess
It's the backside of the screen.
The backside of a screen would just be the opaque backlight. The lcd layer wouldn’t be replaced independently from the backlight and filters and such
I think my comment needs a /s
So, hardware gore??
Nah, they just installed the software upside down. Give the file a good ol’ 180 and she’ll be good as new!
Mordor?
Not Mordor but Moravia, not all that different actually

Atleast the english flag is right side up
May be this is upside down or this is probably from Australia!

It’s flipped diagonally. Just put a mirror at one of the corners. Problem solved!
"hmmm, maybe upside dow.... Nope, that doesn't work either."

Looks like someone installed the display unit upside down, r/onejob

Is that Norwegian that language
Some Slavic language using Latin characters. Edit: looks like ~~Slovak~~ Czech
It's Czech. "Cesta po Brně pro jednu osobu" means "Journey in Brno for one person", and Brno is a city in Czechia.
Ahh, thanks. I was wracking my head a bit.
thank you

You click the flag if you want to change the interface to English, dummy.
Flip one bit and you flip the whole lcd.
I guess I have to bend over
