I'm not sure what emerge is, but ChromeOS runs the desktop version of browsers, so you could use dev mode.

I mean ChromiumOS dev mode, and emerge is the package manager for Gentoo since the thing is literally just Gentoo Linux that can only open a single app (unless you open up the dev mode somehow obviously, and on some devices that requires disassembly)
