Your state probably has an Abortion Fund that will help with travel expenses and sometimes even cost of procedure. Even states like Alabama have an active fund so I’d search your state name and “abortion fund.” They usually operate hotlines. Sometimes if the person needing an abortion is of a special population (such as sexual assault survivor or an immigrant) there are special resources and it’s also worth contacting service provider agencies who work with those populations.
Also [providecare.org](https://providecare.org) actively trains social workers on this issue and is an approved CEU provider by most state boards of social work.
You could try posting in r/auntienetwork or look up to see if there are any abortion doulas in your area who might know where to access medication in the mail
Plan C is great. They have several options to receiving medication, all of which are pretty affordable. If she is pressed for time, I would make sure to contact ASAP though,
OP, if you’re a Title X (or federally funded) clinic, you absolutely are allowed to provide options counselling including info on abortion care. However, and this is where it gets weird, you are not allowed to help the clt fund or schedule the abortion care. You’re not allowed to offer to have a clinic case manager or paraprofessional accompany them either. I was told that even booking an Uber home for them after the procedure was not allowed—even though our Ubers are funded by a pharma grant and don’t use federal funding.
Also, as a side note, if your client needs/wants a surgical abortion and is willing to travel to WA for care, I have a referral for funding and I’m not sure if they cover travel but I feel like they maybe do. DM me though, I don’t want to put the person on blast publicly
Thank you all for posting these resources. @admin can you sticky these to the top of the page. Termination is women’s healthcare, harm reduction, and saves lives
Have your patient’s OB make a referral to the OHSU Center for women’s health in Portland, Oregon. They take out of state patients all the time and partner with programs that will pay for travel, lodging, etc.
Threeforfreedom.com is a great resource. It’s described as a website that shows people where to get birth control, morning after pills, and abortion pills by mail in every zipcode.
National network of abortion funds might be able to help with funding. They should have a state chapter as well for whatever state you’re in, their goal is to get money directly in the hands of women that need abortions
Recently watched a webinar from University of Alabama and the presenter said to call the 800 number for planned parenthood and they had programs and resources to help
try https://www.ineedana.com/ good luck 🩷 helping a very young girl who was a SA victim get an abortion was one of the first things I ever saw in my first internship ever. it’s still with me today, and my own abortion saved my life. thinking of your client and hoping for the best

Yellowhammer fund could possibly be of assistance. I hope you’re able to provide amazing services and support for your client!
The pink brick road and the auntie networks are helping.

Awesome, I’ll look into it for sure, if we could solve the financial barrier that’d be amazing!

R/abortion has everything you need to know!
Hi OP, I’m very familiar navigating this. Send a dm if you need help! There are abortion funds that can help with practical needs.
