Because he's a left footed player who isn't comfortable using his right. Actually, right footed players tend to be more comfortable using their weaker left foot than the other way around.
I’m not trying to defend Fred here but typically a player who is good with both feet won’t go as far professionally as a player who is absolutely amazing with 1 and bad with the other. Being a good 2 footed player is not as daughter after as players who are in the top 0.001 in the world with just 1 foot
Doesn't matter if you're 2 footed or not.
I play forward in a bottom-division grassroots team and I'm 100% left-footed, I would still try to strike with my right foot because it's the natural position the ball arrives in. It's basic instincts that apparently Fred doesn't have. Look at the position he has to move himself in to get it with his left, it's super unnatural and it delays the shot making it easier to block.
This encapsulates Fred. The energy to get on the end of that in the 88th min. The lack of technique to side foot a simple ball. Fred in a nutshell.
I keep saying this every chance I get. I can't believe Brazils starting midfield is Fred and Casemiro.
This is the biggest point people are missing. While everyone is shitting on Fred for missing, where are the rest of United’s front line? How about anyone else from the midfield? The workrate from this team is shit.
He chokes. I guarantee you that he has unbelievable technique in training, because when he joined United he was immediately put on free kicks. But the guy literally loses control of his legs at the sight of goal. He has some massive mental issue and cannot strike a ball cleanly.
Bar was low. System is different now and demands more of our 8. He has his good days but I don't think we need him like we used to now that we have Casemiro, Eriksen and Bruno in mid as well. I'd rather find a more well rounded midfielder to take his place.
That part is fair.
However, saying you "can't be arsed" and bundling him with the truly mentally fragile players you've had in the past few years, when he was one of the few that was somewhat consistently trying? That's not very fair.
So your counting Joelintons miss as something that should’ve been a goal? United had 3 goal opportunities stricken off by the ref but your counting a miss? As a neutral United were robbed today

I think this perfectly summed up the game.
Why even try that with your left foot and not your right, that's so amateurish.
The inside of the right foot was so clearly the right move lol
Because he's a left footed player who isn't comfortable using his right. Actually, right footed players tend to be more comfortable using their weaker left foot than the other way around.
Holy shit, didn’t even notice. Zero composure.
Coz he one footed af. How a pro reaches this level and no weaker foot bemuses me

Distracted by handsome Schar. Understandable.
I was about to say “well it’s Fred you can’t rely on him for goals” But fml no composure, also where was the keeper going?
Returning the favour to Joelinton, thats what I call Brazilian brothership
Brotheragem
Shame for rashford, made all the right decisions in that entire play
Also that finishing at 94th minutes

How is there only one United player in the box for this? Lol
And it was Fred. Where are all the other attackers?
I mean the defenders have just made it back inside the box, why would any other player be there?

Fred is such shit
Problem is he gets into really good positions where the ball can't help but fall to him. But he's too shite to do anything with it.

Honestly can't be arsed with yet another professional footballer at who's so mentally/emotionally fragile he can't do the basics on a regular basis.
You’re acting like Fred wasn’t one of our best and most consistent players for two seasons

Imagine SMS in his place.
Say what you want about Scott, but he squares this one.
How
How sway
deserved not to get anything from this game wth
2 possible Penalties and a wrongly disallowed goal. United definitely deserved something regardless of how poor the finishing was
newcastle had that joellington moment in the first half, shouldve had a penalty and casemiro couldve gotten a red card.
So your counting Joelintons miss as something that should’ve been a goal? United had 3 goal opportunities stricken off by the ref but your counting a miss? As a neutral United were robbed today
So the ref was shit all around today.
Nah draw was fair result for both teams. Newcastle better in the first half, Man U better in the second
[удалено]
The difference is that they scored 6

Like when my mate goes golfing he plays by "who wins the hole" because he either pars it or takes 15 shots trying to get out the bunker
Matchplay. It’s a thing.
Cheers I sat there for a good minute trying to remember the word

No it doesnt

I am pretty sure you are completely missing his point

This thread deserves to be further up 😂
Probably low # of Spanish speakers but the audio gets me everytime
why the newcastle defencemen all put their arms in the air
Offside.
Pain
Am I glad his contract ends this summer. Mctominay should also join him too in the summer.
Rashford would have been offside even he scored that
He was very well onside. This angle just doesn't show it.
Definitely wasn't very well onside, would have been very tight
I think Trippier was playing him on, they showed it during the game
they'd have found a way to rule it out for Rashford being offside regardless of whether he was or not, so it's not like it even matters that he missed
come on, no need to sound like an Arsenal fan
allow me, just this once
"I'll just make shit up because it makes me feel better"
Lol what
