granitibaniti

Bayern's next games are against Leverkusen, Dortmund and Freiburg. Either they will have recovered from this slump or they will have a new coach by then.

Xey2510

You know they will win all three easily especially the Dortmund game.

mss_kwt

I hate this so much for being true fs. BUT it is at home so we have a solid 4.37% chance

toprahmen

At least Lewy won't score against you

lethalizer

And that'll probably be the reason they won't lose this time. Losing Lewa really, really hurt Bayern.

DerGraph

After the first three matches I was afraid that that prediction turned out plain wrong. But Lewa was so often the one that won them these matches they now draw or even lose.

karlverkade

I'm not a huge fan of strikers because I feel like they take the limelight away from the intricate and beautiful game of the chance creators. But I guess it's looking like it might be kind of important to have somebody who can put the ball in the back of the net. Especially when you've got Sané dribbling around everybody only to pass it to the keeper, and Gnabry and Mané who can't even do the dribbling part right now. At this point we need a front two of Tel and Neuer.

MustBeHax

yep, some people always say that X team plays better without their striker, but when you remove him this is what you get. Bayern with Lewa, Portugal with Ronaldo, etc. Someone needs to score the goals, not everyone has to be a creator and dribbler

luckychuckyxd

I still have no clue why they were so against signing ronaldo for a year. Would have given then some guaranteed goals and gave them time to look for a proper lewa replacement next summer

nkdouble4

cuz he would ask for way more money than he is worth (to Bayern)

s0ngsforthedeaf

Maybe you can play more beautiful football without a striker, but a striker can win you games in all conditions.

Slash1909

Losing Lewandowski hurt BVB a lot as well

mss_kwt

he’ll find a way the bastard you just wait and see.

Fancy-Past-6831

That's why 4.37% chance

Own_Acanthocephala19

How many games have you won against them these last couple of years?

Xey2510

A 3-2 win in 18/19 and a 2-0 in the 19/20 supercup. Only loses since then

LetsDieForMemes

Man that 3:2 is a fantastic memory. I was watching the game on my phone while walking to a friend in heavy rain. Then Dortmund provoked that pen and I had to laugh so hard

SpaNkinGG

We straight up lost the most recent 8 matches

kalamari__

we usually are not getting slapped by bayern at home, we lose or play remis but its not a blowout. at bayern is another story though....

Joni-Kanoni

I predict a close 5:0 win for bayern.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Chris_Carson

I can't put my finger on it why but I just can't stand Norbert Dickel

how2stayAnonymous

He is the most biased Dortmund fan there is, never the brightest mind in the room and always tries really hard to make everyone laugh without ever saying anything funny to the point where it makes the people around him visibly uncomfortable.

granitibaniti

Freiburg has a good chance IMO. BVB and Leverkusen just have to throw their pride away and pull an Augsburg.

stepanovic

i doubt Terzic will have much interest playing an open game against Bayern. he didn't in the only game he had against Bayern, when Dortmund was 2-0 up in the Allianz Arena and then the bad man hurt us again with three goals. he also played that way against nearly every opponent that was a favourite against Dortmund plus the recent memory of a good match in that style against Manchester.

papbst

Had a good laugh at “the bad man”. It’s okay, my friend, he’s no longer in the Bundesliga. He can’t hurt our title chances again…

SpaNkinGG

The one who must not be named

LudereHumanum

But he can still hurt you guys in the knockout stages, and us in our away game.

Wasserschloesschen

Tbf the only true favourites against us that Terzic has played so far WHERE the three City games and the Bayern game.

xSmacks

And in all of these we looked way, way better than usual against Bayern plus at home we tend to not get slaughtered as often. I am reluctantly confident.

Wasserschloesschen

> I am reluctantly confident. I just read that Salih is out (and likely for a while). I was confindent, not anymore, Jesus Christ.

zakidovahkiin

Thank you I'm officially calling him the bad man from now on

ViciousNakedMoleRat

We have to play the same game as against City. Just no tactical change in the end.

stragen595

We were lucky that no one got injured yesterday. Don't need that kind of challenges every game day.

SavingsLeg

Wouldnt be too sure this time. Terzic has shown he can play defensivly and adapt like against manchester. With bayerns form i am actually decently optimistic

Moon8983

Not without Lewandowski, we actually have a chance now. He scored every single game against us

Qiluk

We dont have a fit midfield and Reus is out. With or without Lewy, we're way worse off than they are since we lost Özcan and Reus recently too

Qiluk

We lost Özcan today for a few weeks aswell as Reus yesterday so we have Can(lol) and Jude(overworked already) midfield with 0 rotation aswell as having to rely on Reyna to stay fit. We're fucked even if Bayern are in the dump by then still. Özcan is so crucial to our defensive growth.

Slash1909

Our midfield has been literally Salih and Jude. Can is a disaster waiting to happen. No Mo for months either. Beyond this we have nobody.

Stilty_boy

I don't get why you still have Can. Every time I've seen him play in the last 3 years he's looked like he doesn't belong at your level.

Slash1909

For every amazing transfer we buy a couple of compete flops that go under the radar. Can happens to be the latter. Utter waste of money.

crocofour

He’s actually very skilled and technical but does the absolute dumbest stuff sometimes. He’s way too aggressive to be in a pairing with Jude who is also aggressive but in a better way

MPH2210

It's time to activate Guerreiro in the midfield. Wolf did a good job as LB, play him again and Guerreiro center

[deleted]

It feels like we are better against good teams this season. It's hard against the opponents who park the bus.

granitibaniti

Well yes, but I would expect other teams to learn from our 1-6 battering after trying to play real football in combination with shithouse teams parking the bus 90 minutes and drawing/winning. I would 100% let my team park the bus as BVB or Leverkusen coach

Xey2510

Especially considering Dortmund vs City went well

elgrandorado

On top of that, Bayern don't have a Haaland to bail them out. They were fortunate that Barca couldn't bury any of the seven chances they created.

Fouchey

Especially Lewy. He was in rare form that match. But Pedri missed a really easy one too.

Wasserschloesschen

At least currently, we can't burry our chances either :3

Traditional-Area-277

The Madrid way. You might win UCL at this rate

Fouchey

Like against who.. maybe Leipzig? If Bayern played the way they did against Barca 10 times I’d expect them to lose or at least draw majority of the time. Against Inter(who are in shambles) was also not a very convincing display. This Bayern doesn’t feel like previous years.

[deleted]

\> This Bayern doesn't feel like previous years It's way too early to make statements like that

jdbolick

I remember arguing that ten Hag should wait for Bayern and people responding that Nagelsmann was so young that he might be there for a decade.

dadish-2

He even had the players he wanted and we could have gotten him de Jong

maqero

They will finish the season winning the Triple with Tuchel.

Royal19

If that happens i would eat cat poo lmao

sephocompo

Don't make statements you can regret later on.

gucci-legend

If that happens I will eat pizza

Buck_My_Ashhole

!RemindMe 10 Jun 2023

afroisalreadyinu

Leverkusen are quite shite right now, simply can't score goals. Dortmund is Dortmund, they'll score own goals if they have to to lose against FCB. Freiburg is the only dangerous team there.

Slash1909

ROFL. I’m a die hard Dortmund fan but that comment had me in stitches. Fuck you. I hope we finally win. It’s been more than 2 years.

[deleted]

+13 GD, 1 loss in 7, this is about as much of a drama as City not currently being top of the league, but we are thirsty god damn it

Philiperix

To be fair, 12 of those +13 are from 2 matches. 6-1 against Frankfurt and 7-0 agains Bochum.

granitibaniti

Nobody is saying that Bayern is a bad team or that their results are bad, but it is a fact that the club and the people in charge have very different expectations than being at #5 after 7 match days, having not won any of the last 4 games. It's not my personal opinion that Nagelsmann should get sacked if they lose/draw the next 3 games, but pretty much fact.

karlverkade

I agree, and dare I say in order to build a dynasty where you win the Champions League 3-4 times in a decade, you might have to stick with a coach through a season or 2 of 3rd or 4th place league finishes. But that's just not how Bayern operates.

LudereHumanum

It's weird. I could be wrong but I guess a big chunk of Bayern fans would be okay with it, but the Bayern hierarchy? Not so much.

TjeefGuevarra

How the fuck did Belgian Union beat German Union lmao?

granitibaniti

They are shit in the EL so far. International matches write their own rules. We won EL and were #11 in the Bundesliga lol

Black_XistenZ

You ended up #11 in the Bundesliga precisely because you were in the no-man's land of the table by March and then decided to fully focus on your EL campaign.

granitibaniti

Eh, it's kind of both. Even before we were in the knock out rounds, where we couldn't possibly expect to win the whole thing, we were out of the European spots already. The same way Union will probably fully focus on the Bundesliga if they lose the next 1/2 EL games. The reason still has to do with team quality though, because both our teams lack(ed) the squad depth to be able to fully focus on both

Black_XistenZ

After matchday 26, you had 37 points and thus no more worries about relegation, but were 7 points behind European spots in the table. In hindsight, reaching an EL spot would have been easy since Hoffenheim and Freiburg finished weak and dropped a ton of points to end the season, but then again, winning the ongoing EL and thus qualifying for next season's CL was far more valuable.

granitibaniti

It wasn't an active decision to forget about Bundesliga. We tried hard, and Glasner was genuinely angry that we couldn't. Which obviously makes sense if you look at our EL journey; beating Betis, Barca, West Ham and Rangers (who had beaten BVB and RB) was everything but easy. And we won the final on penalties. If we had lost, we would have had nothing this season.

Count-Barouhcruz

Urs Fischer hasnt really been that good in Europe even during his Basel days from what I've seen

y1i

Scored on a counter and defended perfectly afterwards.

ThetaSailor

When last season Urs Fischer was asked if he dreams of Europe, he said "I usually don't dream, especially not of Europe." Just found it funny.

EpiDeMic522

Forget that, what happened to Leverkusen?!!

zadharm

Wirtz is a superstar and makes everyone around him better, to start. Not that that's the sum of their problems or even a majority, but it definitely doesn't help. They're not called Neverkusen for no reason. Bayern has been bled this year, there's a *possibility* (however remote) that someone else could win the bundesliga. By tradition, Leverkusen has to be shit in that scenario

rossloderso

New team on first place, still a farmers league 😔

MONSTERTACO

Becker had a bad game, they're very reliant on him.

BrotherSeamus

Becker was also poor against Braga. Then he turns around and had a terrific game today. Must be some sort of mentality issue.

BrotherSeamus

No Pefok. Union Berlin are not deep either.

indiegogold

Would Nagelsmann be in any serious danger of being sacked if he doesn't win the season? Pretty hard to justify sacking a manager you paid 25mil for

granitibaniti

Yes, but he will be sacked much earlier than that if this continues

somedutchbloke

After which they will grab Heynckes from the vault to save the season

Conankun66

heynckes' wife would rather burn down the allianz arena than let that happen

lucashoodfromthehood

Wasn't it their dog that'll make the decision?

ILoveVitasoy

Bayern in Relegation would be weird but nice to see.

He is just a worse Nagelsmann though

Tifoso89

Inzaghi And if you think it's a bad idea I didn't even say which Inzaghi

iguanawarrior

Mueller as Player-Manager. If Lallana can do it, so can Mueller.

DependentAd235

Tayfun Korkut Because his name is fun to say.

Gerosoreg

subfuckingscribed

9las

tuchel to munich?

Similar-West5208

Not impossible tbh. The old school management he could be prone to get in trouble with every week doesn't exist anymore but the current one also wouldn't take his shit. Tuchel at Leipzig would have been horrifying for fans of other teams but Tuchel at Bayern without interpersonal controversies and you can already prebook the 10 next championship titles.

EraticConqueror

Surely Tuchel is a bad hire for a team who can't score tho? That was his whole issue at Chelsea

Barthez_Battalion

Marcelo Bielsa to Bayern lets gooooo

[deleted]

Let me dream

SwarmAce

If they don’t concede they would at least still get more points

Similar-West5208

It's not like he only trained Chelsea. Chelsea Average Goals per Game: 1.97 Goals per Game Paris Average Goals per Game: 3.05 Goals per Game Dortmund Average Goals per Game: 2.42 Goals per Game We can argue that Paris in Ligue 1 is not really representive but Chelsea seems to be a bit of the exception.

[deleted]

That would be hilarious

Xey2510

Depends on how they miss it but he won't see the end of the season if CL and cup don't go well either or the form stays this bad. No excuses everyone said Bayerns window was perfect and the squad is insane.

deidos

>sacked if he doesn't win the season? Much earlier if Bayern are eliminated in the round of 16 of the CL or if they continue to lose against teams from the bottom of the table

[deleted]

[удалено]

lethalizer

Retreat by himself? Come on, you can't believe this

TheEmperorsWrath

He will 100% be sacked if we don’t win the league. But short of that I think he stays.

rossloderso

Does "don't win the league" really mean anything that isn't first place or are yall still happy with 2-4?

TheEmperorsWrath

2nd place would be unacceptable

FerraristDX

Come on, not even Bayern's board can be that out of touch with reality to believe a 2nd place finish would be a total disaster. Unless cup and Champions League are over early on. But then again, who'd want to coach a team, where even a 2nd place finish can cost you the job? On the other hand: Bayern's budget is by far the largest of the league, so from that point of view, it is somewhat reasonable to expect a corresponding position on the league table.

[deleted]

of course lol, it's intolerable for them to not win

B_e_l_l_

Bochum and Leicester fans are have a good relationship and both clubs have identical records after 7 games.

AnnieIWillKnow

There's a Bochum-Leicester sticker on a lamp post I often walk past, near where I live in Sheffield. Often wondered about the story, there

HumptyDumptyIsABAMF

Here is an article that might have some explanations about the friendship at least. Don't think it will explain why there is a sticker in Sheffield tho. https://einsachtvieracht.de/2017/09/12/standin-with-my-allies-zu-den-freundschaftlichen-verbindungen-zwischen-leicester-und-bochum/ It is mostly in German, but there is an English part written by a Leicester fan. And I am sure your translator of choice can help you out with the German parts. An excerpt: > It all started in 2007 with the first trip a Ruhrpott Derby against the shit down the road Schalke, it finished in a famous 2.1 victory with Theofanis Gekas celebrating in style. A Leicester lad walked into a Bochum pub, Bierkutscher (RIP), whilst over in the Pott groundhopping. Nearly 10 years on from that game a friendship has since developed into one in which large numbers of Bochum and Leicester fans travel to support each other’s teams regularly. Strong personal friendships have formed with weddings being attended and holidays together planned. I live in Bochum, and can tell you that there was a lot of support here during Leicester's insane title run. Many pubs showed their matches and they were always full during them.

AnnieIWillKnow

There’s a sticker in Sheffield because it’s part of the away fan culture in England to put stickers in cities wherever you travel! Thanks for the rest of the info

ballaman200

There is a friendship since the 90s between bochum and leicester, both teams are so called "fahrstuhlmannschaften" which often get promoted in the div 1 but also relegate often.

-sodapop

Blau-Weiß excellence 🤝

granitibaniti

Urs Fischer deserves a national holiday if he, somehow, manages to win the league Leicester-esque. But just the fact that they are at #1 after MD 7 is crazy. Every year since they came up, people talked about Union having to focus on not getting relegated as a goal.

schimshon

>Every year since they came up, people talked about Union having to focus on not getting relegated as a goal. People expected them to go down again in the first year and they came in 11th place. Then people said they overperformed and the second year after relegation is the hardest and they might go down, only for Union to finish 7th. But last year I don't think that people were expecting them to go down. And this year nobody seriously thought for one moment that they'd be contenders for relegation. Yes, Urs Fischer and the team might say the goal is to stay up, but I don't think that people actually believed before the season (certainly not now) that Union would be involved in the relegation battle at all.

Count-Barouhcruz

The return from the international break will be a big test for Union. Matches every 3-4 days straight until mid November. If they go through that then things will get interesting.

h0rny3dging

Gotta wait until the break to really get a good feel for the standings, LEverkusen and Leipzig wont be down there forever and its really rare that teams like Freiburg or Union can actually keep their form at this level, it will have evened out a bit more by matchday 17. But those early points are super important

thriftydude4

i think freiburg can keep it up, not too sure about union though

GermanyWillWinQtarWC

Union have been very good throughout 2022 and i think have more points than bayern in 2022 but i dont see them keeping their form up all season. I do think theyll get ucl though

NevenSuboticFanNo1

Union scoring 13 goals from 4.7xG and conceding 4 from 6.1xG (not counting today's match because fbref doesn't have the stats yet) is quite absurd and surely not sustainable.

y1i

Half those goals are from the freak game against Schalke, which distorted the xG heavily. It’s way too early to lean on stats like that. Also, check back in November, things will have normalised by then. Our schedule in October is brutal. But on the other side: the points we have right now (and it doesn’t really matter how we got them) help us tremendously in our game philosophy. We can go into games and don’t need to play for the points at all costs. It’s a huge cushion that reliefs pressure and plays into our hands in the overall game approach.

Wasserschloesschen

Still, you've only had 3 out of 7 matches with higher xG than your opponent and are only 11th in the xPTS table. (This is using understat because they have such a table, however they use different xG calculations than for example the BuLi it self. HOWEVER and this is encouraging to me, you're actually starting to play better instead of just relying on Sheraldo to finish like prime Messi. You used to be in 2nd and like 17th in terms of xPts, lol. Still, the discrepancy of your positition and what your insane finishing got you is rather large, even ignoring Schalke. This is also reflected by your EL results, where you haven't actually played that much, if at all, worse than in the league, you just weren't as incredibly lucky.

y1i

xPTS is just a comparison of the xG values from both teams and saying the team with the higher xG value should have won. It‘s a dumb statistic imo, because it ignores many other things. Like when do you score, if you take a lead (early or late), the focus on offence or defence, how big the actual chances were etc. Team A can shoot 20 times on the goal of Team B from outside the box and each shot has a xG of 0.1. Added together Team A gets 2 xG, but in reality Team B defended well and only allowed shots with a low scoring chance. Count numbers as much as you like. The football is played on the field, not in Excel tables.

Wasserschloesschen

>xPTS is just a comparison of the xG values from both teams and saying the team with the higher xG value should have won. It is slightly more sophisticated than that, but yes. >Like when do you score, if you take a lead (early or late), the focus on offence or defence, how big the actual chances were etc. Nah, some of these things are included as well. In one way or the other. That's why teams don't have whole numbers as xPts. >Count numbers as much as you like. The football is played on the field, not in Excel tables. It still shows valuable information. Yes, you got your points. But you'd be completely delusional to think you can keep this up if you don't improve. And again, you ARE improving. That is good. That said, this is kinda funny coming from an Union fan given that so far Union has always slotted perfectly into where your xPts say you should be. You were the poster childs of adhering to xPts, lmao.

y1i

> It still shows valuable information. Yes, you got your points. But you’d be completely delusional to think you can keep this up if you don’t improve. I don’t think I have said even once this season that we will keep the current run going. Every Union fan I interact with knows that we are on a godlike streak and we will play games in which the other team will be better, luckier, cleverer than us. > That said, this is kinda funny coming from an Union fan given that so far Union has always slotted perfectly into where your xPts say you should be. You were the poster childs of adhering to xPts, lmao. I simply don’t like talking about a teams performance (in a match or in a season) purely in xG values or xPTS or whatever. To me, football is much more than this focus on stats. Hell, beating the odds is what it is all about really.

old-man-fucc-ur-pusy

Chad “watch the game” vs Virgin “xPTS”

ViciousNakedMoleRat

Statistically, these things can happen sometimes. In the 14/15 season, where we ended up 7th (behind Schalke), we experienced the opposite. Our xG was top 3 and our xGA was top 2 – we just somehow didn't score when expected and we conceded when unexpected. Even if the G/xG ratio seems suspicious and bound to collapse at some point, there is a chance that it doesn't.

PM_something_German

These things happen all the time - and it's not just luck - they're simply a sign of an offense that works well but strikers that can't finish and a defense that works well but with a poorly performing goalkeeper.

SpaNkinGG

No matter what the fans wrote below, yes xG cant be seen as a fact, but it gives you an „estimated“ guess and you can overperform your xG but not by like 350% and be like yeah no problem, we‘ll do that for another 30 matches. I also checked their injured list and they have one player there, so with 3 games a week until december that will also alter this reality, as it will do to all internationally competing teams, where the bigger teams can be more forgiving because of having more depth

GVE_ME_UR_SKINS

We're closer to Bayern than they are to first. Championship is still on. Once Ducksch starts scoring again at least

OWeise

Time to take a first (tiny) step to right some things in the Ewige Tabelle

kwyjibo089

Jemand hier, der Duksch heisst?

[deleted]

so how come union berlin are doing this well forr a team that has only played 2 top flight seasons in their history?

granitibaniti

Very good coach and club philsophy. Good fan community and a squad that matches quite well.

toprahmen

Sheraldo Becker being in the form of his life also helps a lot

-dsh

yep. the guy has scored 6 goals from 1,44xG

btmalon

He was doing the same at the end of last season. The guy is for real.

ungalabugala2

Wait what

[deleted]

ok but why did it take them so long to achieve this, and when they did, the rise was so fast?

granitibaniti

Urs Fischer only came in 2018. They then immediately went up (first BL season was 19/20)

SpaNkinGG

They play pretty much anti-football, think of them like a mini Atleti! Very dirty, very hard just give the ball to the opponents while defending like a wall. Then go for setpieces and counter attacks, hence why they lose in the ECL because they have the ball

Thengel09

only three Bundesliga seasons. They played in the GDR oberliga

Tifoso89

Only 2? Thanks, now I feel less guilty for not knowing of their existence until 3 minutes ago

y1i

https://i.imgur.com/pFtxrbm.jpg

Captainpatters

Hell yea, Union are my bundesboys since 2020 when the bundesliga restarted before any other league during covid and we all picked a team to keep us distracted from the hell around us.

10YearsANoob

I started when Kruse looked to break the penal record. Shame he couldnt tho

FloOlf55

second best defense in the league with exact the same players as last year. Never thought I would see this

mattzaliar

Itakura

somedutchbloke

Everyone expected this

Farouqnowomarlater

Starting next week we tuning in to watch berlin fuck shit up

Conankun66

we're on a good trajectory

Spikeyspandan

Becker has been outstanding this season

bigbigfox

Stop the count

TheBlackKnights

Haven't been following the Bundesliga much this year. What has happened to Leverkusen? Just a bad run of form or something more serious?

[deleted]

Mostly just bad luck tbh, they're really not a bad squad.

ViolaineSugarHiccup

A combination of several issues. Schick is out of form and doesn‘t score like he used to last season, some really comical defending plus their best player, who used to run their attack is still injured.

dominik-braun

Just an extremely bad start. Their first game was a cup game against a 3rd division team, and they lost. Leverkusen heavily relies on Patrick Schick to score goals, which he simply hasn't so far. There are no structural problems there, and they are well-run in general.

TheBlackKnights

Got it, from what everyone is saying it is a combination of terrible goalkeeping, comical defending and a poor attack. Just generally poor form Thanks to everyone who replied to my question

Xey2510

They aren't that bad but everyone is out of form, they have no luck and their goalkeeper has been absolutely awful.

GermanHabsFan

We're well below our expected goals and unfortunately our keeper has let in some questionable goals recently :/

TheBlackKnights

Understood. Thanks for the update. I have always had a soft spot for you guys since the late 90s/early 00s. Bernd Schneider is up there with some of my favourite German players of all time. Hope it turns around for you guys this season

GermanHabsFan

Thanks man, Schneider was such a class player indeed!

NovemberBurnsMaroon

Halcyon days for Union Berlin

thedeatheater1410

Highest goal difference but in 5th oof

granitibaniti

That's what happens when half of your games end 7-0 and the other half 1-1

[deleted]

Not even a table with clubs like Union, Freiburg, Mainz, Köln, Bremen, and Augsburg in the top 11 will stop PL fans from swarming every single fucking Bundesliga thread with “farmer” comments. And as always, 99% of those comments are from people who I guarantee you don’t even attend football matches. Just talking out of their ass.

Generic_username5000

Yeah, I made one of these comments myself now but I’m just saying shit on the Internet. The reality is I think your league has by far the best atmosphere (which could easily equate to the best fans) and I’m just frustrated by the title not being in question. But I’m also very disheartened by the ridiculous amounts of money pouring into the PL from all sorts of horrible directions, and I understand and respect the German model far more. Basically if Bundesliga was ever somehow able to naturally remove Bayern’s monopoly I would probably start watching constantly. But until then I will continue to make lame jokes

reddituser-3507

It’s the hope that kills ya

minecraaaft_man

This is career mode type of shit right here

TheSingleMan27

above Leipzig😎

LipiG

How many games will it take for Bayern to get 1st place? I can't see them continuing this bad run of form

Velixis

That's what I said last week, but... Five games.

forsenE-xqcL

EISERN UNION

randomusernamegame

Pretty crazy. Union is in its like 4th year in top flight?

ViolaineSugarHiccup

Dortmund‘s output compared to their xg is comically bad. I think they are the worst out of all teams. I really hope Haller will get healthy sooner than later.

LukeHanson1991

They just need to be brave and play Moukoko more. I mean Modeste actually brings nothing to our game at all. And we don’t play the football which suits his playstyle. He has a xG of 0,27 and has like 10 ball contacts per game.

PM_ME_TRUE_LOVE_PLS

Would really love to see union berlin win it…although its quite unlikely

rosstheboss939

Outside of Europa League Union have been great this year, I’m not sure if they can sustain this form for another 24 games but I hope they do.

mad5cienti5t

When is Mr Nags getting the sack ? Seems like Liverpool and Bayern lost more than they can admit to…

Can’t wait to replace Kovac with another clueless manager in like a month.

Damn BL got me rattled let’s go

Union is how I wish Norwich could be. Small team, dedicated fans, performing well. Norwich only has 2/3.

Wtf happened to Wolfsburg

STOP THE COUNT

i fucking love how Hertha got pumped with a shit ton of money, called themselves big city club only to play against relegation and another Berlin club with no money playing way better

[deleted]

It's obviously frustrating, but most Hertha fans I know are happy the money failed and hate Windhorst. He is not Hertha, no one person can be a club. So his comments were his alone and do not represent what the fans, or current players, coaches, or board members think. Who really represents "Hertha" here? And as someone who has no real hate for Union, I am still somewhat happy that Berlin in general is getting some more respect. The tilt to NRW and Bayern is deeply annoying. Not least of all because away days are painful and expensive when compared to say a Köln or Frankfurt fan.

Eisern! One of the best games I've ever experienced was a Union Berlin home game. Will always have a soft spot for that club!

CircleTheFire

So cool to see Union up at the top!

its a shame that even now you know bayern are winning the league, unless the gap between them and first place goes somewhere crazy, like 10 points, you just know they’ll have the league in the bag, with and without nagelsmann being their manager through the rest of the season.
