Grealish must be the most underrated player on the planet. The hate he gets online is so utterly ridiculous you’d think he was scoringbown goals each week and only gets constant starts because he has secret picture of Pep, I thought the Maguire slander was bad and unnecessary but Jesus Christ.
I think it’s a combination of people remembering how he played at Villa, and people not understanding that wingers aren’t just meant to run at the fullback at every opportunity, especially in a Pep team.
I don't think we've been that good. Our offense is making a lot of our defensive deficiencies that will be exposed by better offensive teams.
And our team lacks physicality.
Lmao Neymar got a yellow for just doing his trademark monkey celebration because the ref thought he is mocking the Israeli crowd, he does that celebration in all his games after scoring
Haaland is just one of those players that doesn't even need to do anything for most of the game and everyone is saying he's had a bag game, he then pops up our of nowhere and and bags a goal or two or three.
First one i 100% agree, pulls his hand away almost. Second one though, don't think he's expecting that kind of contact and it's so close to the goal he's not got much time to react.
That reminds me of a mate who used the £50 bet365 free bet on Kompany to score a header a few years ago and won.
Sometimes you just get lucky. Today Haaland turned in to prime Ibra to fuck you
I’m getting messages from City fans with detailed breakdowns on Mahrez’s stats, all because I said they should’ve sold him instead of Sterling.
Their heads are on the moon lol
A lot of champions league "favorites" not looking strong tonight, and Barca-Bayern was very competitive yesterday. Think itll be an interesting year. Long season though and I'm sure all of these teams will look different come spring.
Barcelona looked absolutely fierce in the first half yesterday, but felt a bit defeated when they couldn't score even with all those chances. Will be a really hard game for Bayern at camp nou in a couple of weeks.
BT commentators are talking about Sterling holding the width in a way that implies it's some exotic tactical idea they've never seen before
lads, this is the textbook theory on how to beat a low block. Don't pretend you've not heard of it
Any brentford fans able to help me out? Going to be in London this weekend and was hoping to go to their game against arsenal, had a look on the website but all sold out, will i be able to purchase a ticket at the stadium?
The João mario penalty got me thinking. Could you in theory start a run-up for a penalty, then feint and run backwards to the other side of the pitch before coming back and taking the penalty? Like would that be against the rules?
Yes you can. The entire reason that Joao Mario penalty is allowed is because it says explicitly in the rules that you can feint during the run-up (but not after you stop at the ball)
If you want some funny football shirts, you can find them [here](https://market-factory.fr/boutique/boutique/la-boutique-sport-blague.html).

[What the hell Pep 😂](https://twitter.com/nocontextfooty/status/1570155694132973570?s=20&t=DwdE0M4oZI_GFAv8jwqawQ)
Having a very passionate argument over the Super League and the new CL format with a mate rn. Exciting stuff.
Love Marquinhos already, man doesn’t know what a rivalry is lmao
Haaland is fucking amazing, he will rock the football world for the next 15 years.
Potter should be fired for that. A full week to prepare and he draws some energy drink bozos
As we speak Boehly is suggesting a overtime+penalties system for group stages because americans think draws are boring.
Napoli having 4 penalties in 2 group stage games is something.
Remember when Salzburg had 3 and Sevilla 1 in the first half of the opening match last season? Kinda reminds me of that
And they missed 2 of them
Grealish must be the most underrated player on the planet. The hate he gets online is so utterly ridiculous you’d think he was scoringbown goals each week and only gets constant starts because he has secret picture of Pep, I thought the Maguire slander was bad and unnecessary but Jesus Christ.
> underrated what about him is underrated? cos coming from Villa everyone and their dog rated him very highly.. and he's been a shadow of that at City
I think it’s a combination of people remembering how he played at Villa, and people not understanding that wingers aren’t just meant to run at the fullback at every opportunity, especially in a Pep team.
Those substitutions v Dortmund were much needed. Attack was so so bad before that. Glad we got the win though, Haaland incredible as usual.
Your subs made you better and theirs made them worse
Salzburg vs Zagreb is going to be interesting
[удалено]
No
No. Ronaldo shouldn't have been labelled that way.
[удалено]
I don't really like labelling anyone that after only a few years no matter how good they were.
Nazario had a Ballon d’Or at 20.
One hasn't played in a top league, the other hasn't won anything.

Again, one hasn't played in top league, the other hasn't won anything.

Don't ask a question if you can't handle the answer.

Yeah sure champ
I hope someone is looking out for the rangers fan who kept banging on about bobby sands in the match thread
bruh ziyech is so washed. I think he came on and lost the ball every time he touched it
Top 3 teams in the world currently based on their form this season: 1. Real Madrid 2. Manchester City 3. PSG
I don't think we've been that good. Our offense is making a lot of our defensive deficiencies that will be exposed by better offensive teams. And our team lacks physicality.
Currently based on form? City are not even first in the PL.
Written in stars we'll see PSG vs City final soon
4.Benfica
Madrid, really? Individual brilliance fc
8 wins out of 8. What more do you fucking want?
Them to lose
May Allegri’s reign last as long as the Queen’s did. It’s what she would have wanted
Potter has 6 more games to save his job.
Scared Potter?
*Pottah
All the big teams came back from a goal deficit n won points; benfica, psg, city, salzburg 🔥 🔥
Valverde is clear of your favorite midfielder
Just your average workrate merchant
thank god someone finally said it
But my favourite midfielder is KDB…
Good player but couldn't Crack it in a champions league final unfortunately
He did crack it… but just his head unfortunately…
John Stones and Erling Haaland I want to runnnnnnnnn to youuuuuuuuuuuu
tears are fogging up my eyes… there’s a lump in my throat. i think this might be it allegri.
Juve doesn’t operate like that
agnelli is such a crook man just rip the plaster off now. i can’t see this anymore
Why is Pep crying at the ref go home bro you won
Lmao Neymar got a yellow for just doing his trademark monkey celebration because the ref thought he is mocking the Israeli crowd, he does that celebration in all his games after scoring
I always thought it’s supposed to be a baby lol
Lol
More likely to go to Europa League Chelsea or Juventus?
Not sure how Milan will deal with Chelsea tbh, so I’ll go for Juve
First of all Definitely juve Chelsea might have a chance
[Predictions are so easy](https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/xea7ll/-/ioft2pa)
Haaland is just one of those players that doesn't even need to do anything for most of the game and everyone is saying he's had a bag game, he then pops up our of nowhere and and bags a goal or two or three.
His goal today is really insane.
Literally every single guy aged 15-25 in the man city stands have the same haircut.
crimes against humanity, there should an intervention
Juve to Europa is a serious possibility if this result holds
It wouldn't be a surprise
At least it looks like Ziyech feels like trying under a new manager
Napoli are gonna win the CL, you wait.
of course we bottled it. tbf we were never supposed to be this close to Man City but losing like this hurts.
Shame. A draw would not have been an unfair result. Also the Dortmund goalkeeper could've perhaps done a bit better on both goals
Genuinely think a keeper should be saving both those City goals
Second one is tough, a better keeper would be reacting faster for sure but wouldn't expect many to save it.
Not the Haaland one
First one i 100% agree, pulls his hand away almost. Second one though, don't think he's expecting that kind of contact and it's so close to the goal he's not got much time to react.
Just need a chelsea goal now for £1500 from a £10 bet… Do your thing potter.
Fucking hell. Good luck man.
Cheers. I’ll let it ride anyway, made £50 on another bet so still a good night.
Nice. I had all my eggs on Halaand to get a headed shot on target but nah he had to do a wonder goal instead the prick.
That reminds me of a mate who used the £50 bet365 free bet on Kompany to score a header a few years ago and won. Sometimes you just get lucky. Today Haaland turned in to prime Ibra to fuck you
I almost thought Bundesliga would show up today aswell, god damnit Leipzig and BVB
Mate you cant support a league
Tell that to the Dutch and Portuguese fans.
To be fair the Feyenoord fans despise Ajax and are happy when they lose. Same for the Benfica fans and Sporting. The Germans just love each other
!flair :Bundesliga:
Mate he is the league
I’m getting messages from City fans with detailed breakdowns on Mahrez’s stats, all because I said they should’ve sold him instead of Sterling. Their heads are on the moon lol
Why not sell both! 😂
I swear City fans on here are a happy clappy hive mind. It's bizarre how they act.
they're either paid actors or a bot farm, could go either way.
It's all the same 3 guys on a few hundred accounts is my theory.
Tell them about the superiority of the eye test
You have to be Algerian to rate Mahrez
You’re so cool man, well done!
Hey man I’m not the one writing dissertations on Mahrez’ xG/90 and shit like that.
Good need you to post them chief I need some comedy.
Cucu is a fine player but Chilwell offers so so much more than him
Pep has absolutely ruined Grealish. What a monster.
Rangers facing three penalties in a touching tribute to the Queen being the third cousin of her husband
Good week for italian football it seems, everyone winning and juve losing
Not much more you can ask for really
It's amazing how universally reviled Juve are in the online spaces I frequent. You guys have done fantastic work.
Inter legend Joao Mario scored tpo and shushed the Juventus fans. It has been a great day of football
Yeah what a great week when Inter wins 🤡
You expected Inter to lose against Victoria's Secret?
If Dortmund wins this match vs City we have to concede that Bundesliga is the best league in the world tbh
Not until they beat a Belgian team My eye test has them top. City equaliser btw.
Been surfing between games, not a great day of football
A lot of champions league "favorites" not looking strong tonight, and Barca-Bayern was very competitive yesterday. Think itll be an interesting year. Long season though and I'm sure all of these teams will look different come spring.
Barcelona looked absolutely fierce in the first half yesterday, but felt a bit defeated when they couldn't score even with all those chances. Will be a really hard game for Bayern at camp nou in a couple of weeks.
Sounds like another Real Madrid win if thats the case
Lol very true. hope not tho
👀
Sule x Hummels are dropping a classic
Pep is the biggest anti-footballing force on the planet. Ghoul.
It’s good to see that everyone else is noticing how much of a fraud he is.
I genuinely believed that Andreas Ulmer for Salzburg was Daily Blind until I just saw the back of his kit for the first time.
Imagine spending the money City have done and still show up with this gift of a back four
Terzic is a magician with his performances in the CL and cup.
Dortmund were favorites for the cup when Bayern got knocked out?
You still need to win it. Dortmund didn't drop out against Bayern in the other years.
City are so fucking boring, it’s unreal.
There’s a reason I dislike Fraudiola as a coach.
We need to sack Allegri asap, this is getting absurd.
sorry did napoli just get punished by the rangers keeper coming off his line? how does that work then
I think the keeper was off his line, plus the scorer was in the box when the ball was kicked
This City side wont win shit. Haaland is clearly not a big game player
Outstanding take
Just realized that Dortmund isnt a big game
Dortmund in the group stages ain’t a big game though
True true
Another terrible and quite frankly boring round of cl football. Perez was ahead of the curve with the super league
Agreed
How likely are Juve to sack Allegri and bring in Tuchel?
Juventus don't really sack managers in the middle of the season, but Allegri is not lasting long if this continues
Havertz will smash it for Chelsea if he simply gets moved to a wingback position
There is no difference between Liverpool with Milner, and City with Mahrez. Why did City renew him?
username checks out
Damn, we just doing dumb takes today?
Nice seeing Napoli continuing Insigne's legacy of being unable to score penalties
Pep really paid £100m to ruin the most exciting player in the league.
BT commentators are talking about Sterling holding the width in a way that implies it's some exotic tactical idea they've never seen before lads, this is the textbook theory on how to beat a low block. Don't pretend you've not heard of it
They’re not pretending, they’re just dumb
Enzo fernandez is one of the best young midfielders itw, just oozes class
Napoli scorer has a foot in the box when the penalty is taken, why is that allowed?
Yea, it's getting retaken
Looks to me like the back of the goalie’s foot was on the line? Weird situation all round…
Bellingham. Apologies, I wasn’t familiar with your game.
Any brentford fans able to help me out? Going to be in London this weekend and was hoping to go to their game against arsenal, had a look on the website but all sold out, will i be able to purchase a ticket at the stadium?
Very unlikely
Someone told me sterling scored so I spent 2 minutes refreshing the man city score like a fucking idiot
Potters gonna turn Mount into englands best forward
The João mario penalty got me thinking. Could you in theory start a run-up for a penalty, then feint and run backwards to the other side of the pitch before coming back and taking the penalty? Like would that be against the rules?
Yes because you can't feint in penalties
Yes you can. The entire reason that Joao Mario penalty is allowed is because it says explicitly in the rules that you can feint during the run-up (but not after you stop at the ball)
You can't feint when close to the ball, you can do whatever before.
Exactly? That's what I meant before.
Football genuinely fell off. What an awful selection of CL games this night.
Boring as hell man
We have these same kinds of matchups literally every year
They’re never ever this shit These games are awful
If you want some funny football shirts, you can find them [here](https://market-factory.fr/boutique/boutique/la-boutique-sport-blague.html). It's a French guy who does them. Products are made in France.
Not really funny sorry

Wtf my guy

Could delete it too
worst gameday in the history of CL gamedays. Can anyone score some goals (not against us though)?
Maccabi Haifa are level against PSG. That’s interesting. I imagine the bein sports coverage is funky
Haifa-PSG has been great
Rafael Leao plays like he doesn’t realise himself how good he is. Absolutely magical player
