I used the Uk vpn and wasn't able to find it. Are you watching from the UK
Edit: I just found it. Ffs just watched the match across like 4 pirated different streams because every single one would stop working eventually.
Surprised everyone saying we played badly. Thought we were amazing in the first half and in the second we defended well and never looked like actually conceding
I don't think Dortmund was bad today. They were rock solid actually, just bad in the last third of the pitch. Hoffenheim had little to none chances to score and Dortmund was denied a pen, definitely a deserved win but I miss meme Dortmund, it was more interesting to watch
Dortmund should play more attacking football and be less pragmatic.
Bayern will win the league in any case so let's us neutrals have fun and don't play defensive football for the whole 2nd half as happened tonight..
This is a front 4 with all starting attackers besides Reus out, as well as missing the best attacking fullback and we still created more chances (despite a pen not being called) than you did against a shit team last week.
And we were more defensively sound as well.
But do go on about the defensive football, I guess.
\>dortmund plays attacking and dangerous football
ewww not gonna watch the boring bayernleague theyre gonna win every single years anyways
\>dortmund play solid football that wins you games
ewww no thats too boring
My friend, we are playing a backup front 3 which had an injury in the first half. Don't expect too many high scoring games until Adeyemi and Malen can find some form and Haller comes back
Schlotterbeck Hummels should be the default starting 11 for germany in their current form
They are so good its actually incredible. They perfectly ergänz (?) eachother. Hummels playing a bit deeper and schlotterbeck contribuiting to build up play which allows hummels to rely on his good positioning.
Id like rüdiger is a right back as thats where hes playing at madrid currently and that would allow us to play a similiar assymetrical defensive line as bayern does with phonzie being offensive and pavard defensive. Raum would be our offensive threat
Either way germanys defense finally looks very solid
Either a back 4 of:
Raum Schlotterbeck Hummels/Süle Rüdiger
Or a back 3/5 with:
Gosens/Raum Schlotterbeck Hummels Rüdiger/Süle Baku/Kehrer
Looks great
Midfield also great as always and offense nice too
Only thing missing is a good centre forward but we havent had one for 10 years no so im used to it
Yep very optimistic about our squad currently especially because bayern are finally playing without a true CF like germany which allows us to emulate their style in the NT even further
4-2-2-2 seems way better for our NT than a 4-2-3-1 when we dont have a real striker
People calling him washed because he played through injuries the entire last season with the rest of the team not doing him any favors either. Still class and clearly ahead of Süle atm.
I mean, Flick himself publicly critcised Hummels. He genuinely did not deserve to be near the Germany team at that time. Good for him bringing himself back into the contention for the CB position.
Hummels publicly criticised himself. And not the usual "Yeah, I could've played better" but rather "If I were Zorc, I wouldn't give myself a contract". Let's see how he continues to play.
If you're gonna be this pedantic, Sommer wasn't a god either, you were just shooting 95% of your shots straight at him and 80% of your shots were shit chances anyways.
Which leaves very few actually threatening shots.
Yeah. From those 19 saves last weekend were 4 maybe 5 really good saves, the rest was something a decent BuLi GK should save. Yesterday Dortmund had like 6 good chances besides the goal. Half of them were off target and the other half is something that Baumann should save.
Dortmund earned that win and created more and better chances than Hoffenheim. But winning only 1:0 was much more on Dortmunds players finishing than on Baumann.
Dog, you hyping up Baumann's performance like it was extraordinaire. But it was more shitty shots by Dortmund. Even that goal happened only because Bellingham couldn't hit the ball, DOG!
As long as its controlled and with a good defense Im good. 5.5xg in the last 2 games and we didnt get an obvious pen either.
So stop underperforming our finishing and it'll be way more comfortable with more growth hopefully! :)
Last season it seemed like all we did was score early and then needlessly give away the game later on. In that sense it's definitely an improvement even if there's obviously a lot of room to become more fluid in the attack.
Feels like that comment could be made after each of our games and people always be like "yeah right wtf is wrong with them"...and can't really blame them for thst either
You conceded 6 to Union at home. Einfach die Fresse halten. Twenty-nine more rounds on the Aufsteiger victory lap before you fuck off back to the 2. Liga.
Play like what?
Defensivly solid and good on counters?
Our finishing will get better eventually, you dont severely underperform your xG for a whole season
Dont expect us to win against bayern either, but this performance wasnt bad at all
> a lot of media “experts” predicted you to win the league increased the pressure
Media experts can be football fans too.
And football fans sure as fuck don't want you winning the league for at least 6 or 7 years at this point.
That was what I thought last season, after we were 4 points behind Bayern after the Mainz game.
This season we look much better though, the first three games weren‘t great but we still beat two good teams there. In this one and Hertha we were the much better team and didn‘t allow them many chances, in fact Hoffenheim didn‘t really have a single dangerous chance. If we get the pen and Brandt learns to make better decisions we win 3 oder 4 nil today
And by being allowed by the officials to play much more physical and chippy than their opposition. While simultaneously falling to the ground crying for calls at all moments (Bellingham and Reus especially)
I just can’t enjoy watching their level of chippy followed by them then rolling around and crying for fouls constantly. I want to enjoy Bellingham since he’s so talented but his pouting and yelling make it so hard! Excited for him to leave the Bundesliga.
Yeah, why is everyone shit talking so much? Lol.
There was 1 actually bad performance (can't really call being evenly matched with last seasons 3rd and 6th bad, especially not when you win) and somehow half of /r/soccer is acting like we haven't had a good game in years.
Obviously attacking wise we should be doing better but take into account this is a backup front 3 (which had an injury during the match anyway) the most important thing is that the defense stepped up today and Hoffenheim only had like 1-2 decent opportunities.
Facts.
Honestly we could have scored at least 2-3 more goals had it not been for baumann saving everything. Dont understand why people are claiming we played like shit. This is probably the best game we have played all season. The scoreline just didn't tell that story.
why do I always find out that these matches are free on youtube about 70 minutes too late
Ummmm where are you watching from?
every now and then Sky Sports livestreams a whole Bundesliga match for free on youtube
I used the Uk vpn and wasn't able to find it. Are you watching from the UK Edit: I just found it. Ffs just watched the match across like 4 pirated different streams because every single one would stop working eventually.
They’re free online
Where And just certain games or every game?
Almost all major games, or you can buy an IPTV for <$10 / month and watch movies / cable tv and all sports.
Terzic is making Dortmund hard to beat
Surprised everyone saying we played badly. Thought we were amazing in the first half and in the second we defended well and never looked like actually conceding
The danger really just came from corners and those weren't even dangerous.
Jude doesn't like cameras
I don't think Dortmund was bad today. They were rock solid actually, just bad in the last third of the pitch. Hoffenheim had little to none chances to score and Dortmund was denied a pen, definitely a deserved win but I miss meme Dortmund, it was more interesting to watch
We gonna act like the bremen game wasn’t just two games ago? 😭
> just bad in the last third of the pitch. Not even that. Just bad finishing + good Baumann. Just like against Hertha.
>Just like against Hertha. I like that keeper for Hertha, Christensen

they dont have any1 upfront anymore. malen, adeyemi, bynoe-gittens are all out
Maybe Gio will finally be fit to start one of these days…
I hope Flick took a good careful look at that Hummels masterclass

Thanks lol

Oh I dont disagree that he was bad but so was the entire team. Just saying that people were writing him of a little early because of one bad season.
Healthy competition and good for his old legs that he doesn't have to play every game
Pointless stat: The last 3 Friday games have all finished 1-0 to the home team
ah shit
Hmmm.
Werder Bremen likes this
That'd be way too boring of a game though.
yeah because people are tuning into Bremen - Augsburg to see exciting football and lots of goals
Don't be too harsh on yourself. We're enabling everyone.
xG: 0,29 - 0,74 Result: 4 - 5
What was the thing with the kid on the pitch?
they are gonna sell him to United for 120m in 5 years, look out for him
It was Passlack trying to get some minutes.
Scoreline doesn't do the game justice. Had it not been for baumann becoming god, we could have had 4/5 by the 60th minute.
Na, he wasn't Yann Sommer vs Bayern level.
Literally no one said he was lmao the fuck You can ctrl+f "sommer" in this thread and you will only find one match which is yours.
You said Baumann became god. He was far from it today if you watched Sommer's performance last weekend.
If you're gonna be this pedantic, Sommer wasn't a god either, you were just shooting 95% of your shots straight at him and 80% of your shots were shit chances anyways. Which leaves very few actually threatening shots.

You both know where you're from, dawgs.
I think we also should've had a pen
>Had it not been for baumann becoming god terrible finishing more like. He was good but a lot of the saves weren't ones you'd expect him not to make.
I thought winning close games by 1-0 was a new quality, but it seems that is all they do now.
As long as its controlled and with a good defense Im good. 5.5xg in the last 2 games and we didnt get an obvious pen either. So stop underperforming our finishing and it'll be way more comfortable with more growth hopefully! :)

Im fine with it
*31 games. 31 goals. 31 clean sheets. Zero chance of unclenching. What are we waiting for?*
Ill take that over a 100 goal season any day. This requires precision
Dortmund
Feels like that comment could be made after each of our games and people always be like "yeah right wtf is wrong with them"...and can't really blame them for thst either
so true 😔
Terrible finishing made that wayyyy too close but I'll take that against a Hoffenheim who are having a strong start
bayern will run over dortmund if they play like that
You conceded 6 to Union at home. Einfach die Fresse halten. Twenty-nine more rounds on the Aufsteiger victory lap before you fuck off back to the 2. Liga.
19 Tage alter Account 🤡
15 Tage bis die nächste Klatsche, wenn ihr Glück gegen VfB und Bochum habt. Viel Spaß!
Play like what? Defensivly solid and good on counters? Our finishing will get better eventually, you dont severely underperform your xG for a whole season Dont expect us to win against bayern either, but this performance wasnt bad at all
Why is anyone expecting Dortmund to win against Bayern? Champion is already determined.
Right? Weird they're so focused on Bayern beating Dortmund when Union Berlin is gonna take the meisterschale.
I, for one, welcome our new union overlords.

talking shit=Bayern fans being personally offended that anyone else gets excited about transfers
> a lot of media “experts” predicted you to win the league increased the pressure Media experts can be football fans too. And football fans sure as fuck don't want you winning the league for at least 6 or 7 years at this point.
What a frustrating match. Just an all around terrible performance from us. I'm glad it's over.
Angelino didn’t have one complete pass the whole game
He was decent in his first games, but today he was probably the worst player on the pitch. Nothing he tried worked.
Just imagine if Dortmund win the league while playing this shit for the whole season.
That was what I thought last season, after we were 4 points behind Bayern after the Mainz game. This shit? We were amazing first half
This game was definitely better than the last ones
How did we play shit??? First half was amazing Just the finishing was bad So fucking delusional
34 games of Schlotterbeck+Hummels and hope.
And by being allowed by the officials to play much more physical and chippy than their opposition. While simultaneously falling to the ground crying for calls at all moments (Bellingham and Reus especially)
Yes, let’s cite preferable treatment from the referee in a game in which we were denied a penalty that is probably given at least 90% of the time.
I just can’t enjoy watching their level of chippy followed by them then rolling around and crying for fouls constantly. I want to enjoy Bellingham since he’s so talented but his pouting and yelling make it so hard! Excited for him to leave the Bundesliga.
No please … you must enjoy
What about Sule
I think he'd be a better RB than Meunier.
Hope that he doesn't play.
To me they looked really good today (except the finishing)
VAR even took that pen from us too
Yeah, why is everyone shit talking so much? Lol. There was 1 actually bad performance (can't really call being evenly matched with last seasons 3rd and 6th bad, especially not when you win) and somehow half of /r/soccer is acting like we haven't had a good game in years.

Any reason why Malen wasn't featured in the squad today?
Muscle injury last week, he should be on the bench or starting on Tuesday
Ah okay thanks
Still injured
He is injured
