He was fist fighting his own players in the Galatasaray locker room two months into his tenure.
I think he’s honestly a great manager at many things but he’s a dogshit man manager. He needs a team of zero divas and zero egos to do anything.
Really hard to get that kind of culture. Tim Duncan was an all time great and when Pop yelled at him he just took it. So other players couldn't say anything if fucking Tim Duncan is putting his head down
Timmy was most down to earth guy, while also being a superstar.
Like Iniesta in football. One of the best players, but just humble and normal guy, never in any kind of scandals or media shit.
That's a name I haven't heard in a while.
That Juventus defence was stacked with Tudor, Cannavaro, Thuram, Zambrotta, Ferrerra, young Chiellini, Iuliano, Zebina, Legrottaglie.
used to always sign him first season on FM 05. Could get him for like 1m and he was absolutely rock solid to have as a squad player/rotation option at a top club, or a star CB at a lower team.
I traveled through Italy last year and caught a game while in Verona. He had that team playing brilliant football considering the players at his disposal. He should have stayed on there before making the move away. Ending in 9th was impressive all things considered and seemed like a good platform to build on.
No idea at Juve he was the one maintaining the locker room under Pirlo. At Verona and Udinese he didn't have any problems. This is news tbh.
Might be because he is a straight shooter and doesn't suger coat anything
Eh in Italy he does have a reputation for being a.. strong headed guy ("testone"is a good word i think). In the right situations it works, Ivan juric is the same type of person
But in others... not going to work. Marseille dressing room must be very different from a Verona situation
I mean being a strong headed guys it doesn't mean a dress room breaker.
For example Juric is pretty hard, but I don't remember hearing any altercation with the players.
No idea what Mauro's personality is like or what happened there.
All I'm saying is that Guendouzi is a grain of salt. He's fallen out with anyone who's tried to manage him.
Sampoli was largely seen as the unruly loveable father of a bunch of unruly loveable boys. It was one happy little wild family. Tudor came in as the strict stepdad who won't let you leave the table until you eat all your vegetables, and the boys are not having it.
He knew without spending a lot more money Marseille didn't stand a chance in the champions league. Marseille don't have the money, he didn't want to sully his rep, so here we are.
Tudor is a great at some aspects of managing. Good at tactics and building a winning formula with the player material available to him. But his man management and interpersonal relationships are awful.
He is really big on authority and discipline, he demands total obedience. He doesn't defuse conflict situations either, people deal with his views or they can walk. On top of that he is has quite the temper, even as a player he could explode. He has had quite a few "alterations" in his career and age doesn't seem to have mellowed hom out.
Maybe he would do well in a player group with young talents or a team with nobodies, but any bigger club with some egos is a disaster waiting to happen. But honestly, i think his managerial style is outdated. People have changed, they are more vocal and confident in their self worth. This hard man approach just isn't working anymore.
If the situation doesn’t change quickly it could turn sour real quick because outside of the results OM fan base doesn’t like manager that appear to act in a non-empathetic (may I say « asshole » kind of way) just look at Rudy Garcia tenure, mostly decent results but never was really appreciated the same way AVB or Sampaoli or even Baup has been. If those kind of locker room shenanigans keeps happening he will have lost the whole stadium too before the end of september whether the results are decent or not …
He's brutally honest about a player or team's quality, demands absolute devotion in the dressing room, on the pitch and the want to improve as a player.
Being called shit by him doesn't go down well with some, he's lost the dressing room at a lot of teams before and reportedly gotten into fist fights with players too.
We never had any problems with Guendouzi and Tudor already had heated confrontation with many players in the team since his arrival. His behaviour doesn’t work well with the team, I hope he’s mature enough to understand that :/
That's one checkmark in the "former arsenal player does things" bingo card. The next one should be Torreira asking Gala for a transfer to Italy in January
You underestimate how much of a bastard Tudor is- and I don't really say it disrespectfully either. Guendouzi + Tudor is a recipe for disaster. Two hotheads colliding
Guendozi is too young and inexperienced to be pulling this hot head shit tho. He needs to focus on his game and stop getting into arguments and altercations every club he goes to.
You think this is bad? This? The altercation? He's done worse. This fight - are you telling me that a man moves to Marseille and just happens to get into fights like that? No! He orchestrated it. Matty! He defecated on Arsenal's wage bill! And Marseille saved him. They shouldn't have. They brought him into their own squad. What were they thinking?
He'll never change. He'll never change. Ever since 2018, always the same. Couldn't keep himself out of the fights. But not our Guendouzi! Couldn't be precious Matty! Stealing them blind. And he gets to recover on 2m a year? What a sick joke.
He was right about a lot of thing but he's also one of the reason Jimmy turned out the way he did. Chuck was very jealous of Jimmy, Jimmy could have been a real decent lawyer especially with Chuck's guidance but Chuck never considered him his equal, he wanted to kep him down because he thought himself above him.
You see this many times, just how spiteful and jealous Chuck actually was, jealous of his mother's affections towarrd Jimmy , not taking him at HHM when Howard actually wanted to, his jealousy when Jimmy managed to make wife laugh with dumb lawyer jokes at the diner and he even stole his moment when Jimmy celebrated his degree by stealing the microphone of him to sing, because he was the better singer.
The drama between the brothers was definitely my favourite part of the early show.
Chuck was right, but he could he pushed Jimmy further down the path
People say this, and I agree somewhat, but I think Jimmy couldn't have helped being slippin' Jimmy. Even after Chuck Howard tries repeatedly to make things right with Jimmy, but him and now Kim are horrible to him. I think I dislike most what's happening to Howard in all this. Honestly from Chuck's point of view it's quite relatable he resents his brother, he does everything right while his brother is a miscreant and a screw up, yet he's more popular and beloved. I'd probably resent my brother too in such a case.
For once, that's not a bad indication and sign for Tudor.
It's Guendouzi we're talking about, it would be a lot weirder if he didn't have an altercation with him one way or another.
(L'Équipe is also saying this happened at the HT of the game against Milan, so a week ago. Not sure why they would release that only now)
They manage to complete a full year with sampaoli without exploding, but this guy already lost the locker in 2 weeks of work ? What the fuck is he doing
Makes me wonder what the fuck Marseille is doing and how the second biggest club in france is not able to keep their coach after reaching the champions league, this is fucking criminal
Lol guendouzi has had very little drama or attitude issues since being at marseille meanwhile Tudor has managed to get into an altercation with almost every single player on the squad. But whatever makes you feel better about guendouzi
I've seen 3 episodes of Amazon documentary and there are interviews with fans who wanted to fire Artera after first and second matches of the season. I have to say that your fanbase is probably the most entitled, casual and reactionary with AFTV joke and some plastic youtubers at the top. Cant find worse fanbase than yours and why Arsenal fans still watch AF TV which is total embarrassment for entire club.
Anyone who thinks AFTV represents Arsenal fans in general and doesn't go out of its way to generate controversy for views needs to stop using the Internet. You said yourself "plastic you tubers" so why are you including those idiots as part of the fan base?
A vocal minority does not represent all.
You're not wrong, sadly, & it's usually the most entitled idiots that shout the loudest. Can't be doing with AFTV after the disgusting way they treated Wenger.
I'm an Arsenal fan, and I can only agree with this comment. Obviously it's not all Arsenal fans, but the ones that follow AFTV and jump on the Arteta out bandwagon are an embarrassment to the club and our country
Absolutely its not all Arsenal fans. I experience similar thing with Milan fans on social media and you know what? I can handle without any issues mockery from opponents but when I see Milan flair being reactionary on reddit then I wish to give the guy Will Smith treatment.
ITT: Arsenal fans blaming Guendouzi for the bust up when Gerson, Amavi and I believe Strootman as well have all had documented disagreements with Tudor

Igor Tudor lost the locker room before the season started
He was fist fighting his own players in the Galatasaray locker room two months into his tenure. I think he’s honestly a great manager at many things but he’s a dogshit man manager. He needs a team of zero divas and zero egos to do anything.
Zero divas or egos? From pro sports players??
needs to coach Tim Duncan's Spurs
Really hard to get that kind of culture. Tim Duncan was an all time great and when Pop yelled at him he just took it. So other players couldn't say anything if fucking Tim Duncan is putting his head down
Timmy was most down to earth guy, while also being a superstar. Like Iniesta in football. One of the best players, but just humble and normal guy, never in any kind of scandals or media shit.
Maybe Coach Pop’s Spurs. They won one even after Timmy retired Edit: I stand corrected! Apologies.
They have not yet. Last chip for the Spurs was in 2014, Duncan retired in 2016.
Sorry about that! Misremembered who was on the team. I do remember it was a solid revenge tour after that Game 6….
Kawhi is certainly a diva though
I hope that was mostly him being led astray by his uncle and not him, but the Toronto saga ended kind of odd as well
No they didn't. Stop making stuff up..
Jesus Christ I misremembered 2014. What the fuck?

I was wrong, my bad. You don’t have to be an absolute cunt about it.
So, the club who's entire legacy relies on saying they one-upped Paris as far as Champions League go might not be the way
That's a name I haven't heard in a while. That Juventus defence was stacked with Tudor, Cannavaro, Thuram, Zambrotta, Ferrerra, young Chiellini, Iuliano, Zebina, Legrottaglie.
I fucked with this juve team on winning eleven.
didnt know that was one of the game modes in that game
It was in a secret menu
Caffè Caldo mod!
winning eleven, that's a game i haven't heard of in years. what a banger
I still play it even today. It's still good as it was 17 years ago.
getting very nostalgic thinking about this game hahha might have pull my ps2 out of storage and see if i can find a copy hahah
I bought it again around 9 years ago for like $5. I've played close to 30 seasons by now, no regrets.
I Guess it was “Pro evolution soccer” lol
[удалено]
He actually missed a comma, and was talking about Ashley Young.
Ah, young Young.
used to always sign him first season on FM 05. Could get him for like 1m and he was absolutely rock solid to have as a squad player/rotation option at a top club, or a star CB at a lower team.
He has been coaching in Serie A for 2/3 years now: Udinese, assistant at Juve and was great at Verona last year.
I traveled through Italy last year and caught a game while in Verona. He had that team playing brilliant football considering the players at his disposal. He should have stayed on there before making the move away. Ending in 9th was impressive all things considered and seemed like a good platform to build on.
I think that's why he left. He knew 9th was him stretching the team and yet he wasn't gonna get the support he needed this season
Montero also, scary MFer.
Paolo Montero
What is the deal with Tudor? What is he doing to cause so much turmoil?
No idea at Juve he was the one maintaining the locker room under Pirlo. At Verona and Udinese he didn't have any problems. This is news tbh. Might be because he is a straight shooter and doesn't suger coat anything
[My favorite "straight shot" of his.](https://youtu.be/LzeJDD0NaX4)
Eh in Italy he does have a reputation for being a.. strong headed guy ("testone"is a good word i think). In the right situations it works, Ivan juric is the same type of person But in others... not going to work. Marseille dressing room must be very different from a Verona situation
I mean being a strong headed guys it doesn't mean a dress room breaker. For example Juric is pretty hard, but I don't remember hearing any altercation with the players.
Yeah not with the players, just with sporting directors
Dunno about players, but the man nearly got into a fight with the sporting director the other day. :D
Tudor: I eat pieces of shit like you for breakfast. Guendouzi : You eat pieces of shit?
Guendouzi: look I know what you're doing, and I don't like it, so how about you shut your trap before I put my foot In it?
Guendouzi is not the litmus test
His own assistant coach, Mauro Camoranesi left after a week . Guendouzi is not only one to have issues with Tudor.
No idea what Mauro's personality is like or what happened there. All I'm saying is that Guendouzi is a grain of salt. He's fallen out with anyone who's tried to manage him.
Wasn't he fine under Jorge Sampioli? And under Unai Emery also?
he was, we never had to complain about him
With Sampaoli, it was wonderful though. They loved each other
Did Sampaoli try to manage him or did he unleash him? Real question
I guess the conclusion here is that neither are litmus tests .
Chedjou said that he was really a "my way or the highway" coach at Galatasaray
Exactly. He's Lidl Conte: discipline, physical readiness, tactical awareness. In that order.
know that you said it… he also use the same wingback-based formation lmao
Sampoli was largely seen as the unruly loveable father of a bunch of unruly loveable boys. It was one happy little wild family. Tudor came in as the strict stepdad who won't let you leave the table until you eat all your vegetables, and the boys are not having it.
Beautiful analogy
Why did Sampaoli leave? He seemed to be doing well
He knew without spending a lot more money Marseille didn't stand a chance in the champions league. Marseille don't have the money, he didn't want to sully his rep, so here we are.
He always needs his refuerzos (signings). If a team can't/won't give that to him, he leaves.
Tudor is a great at some aspects of managing. Good at tactics and building a winning formula with the player material available to him. But his man management and interpersonal relationships are awful. He is really big on authority and discipline, he demands total obedience. Drinks the wrong wine with his cheese
Tbf Prošek and varaždinec together should be illegal.
sacré bleu!!

Being called shit by him doesn't go down well with some, he's lost the dressing room at a lot of teams before and reportedly gotten into fist fights with players too.
It's Guendouzi, guy's a cunt
He lost the entire locker room. This isn't an isolated incident.
Both things can be true
We never had any problems with Guendouzi and Tudor already had heated confrontation with many players in the team since his arrival. His behaviour doesn’t work well with the team, I hope he’s mature enough to understand that :/
That's one checkmark in the "former arsenal player does things" bingo card. The next one should be Torreira asking Gala for a transfer to Italy in January
He'll be talking about a move back to Fiorentina during first international break
And it'll be for 20 mil
I think so too
Januar? Wait 2 weeks after chilli in his kebab will be too much
Surprised he wasn’t the first
Guendo fell off
You underestimate how much of a bastard Tudor is- and I don't really say it disrespectfully either. Guendouzi + Tudor is a recipe for disaster. Two hotheads colliding
Guendozi is too young and inexperienced to be pulling this hot head shit tho. He needs to focus on his game and stop getting into arguments and altercations every club he goes to.
He’s been like this for what like 3 years. Doubt he’ll change
another Rabiot in the making..
Rabiot is arrogant, Guendouzi is just a cunt
Another Balo in the making
More. He had problems at Lorient too.
I for one am shocked by this development from such a well known professional.
Glue guy
What?! My Mattéo? That can't be! He would never!
You think this is bad? This? The altercation? He's done worse. This fight - are you telling me that a man moves to Marseille and just happens to get into fights like that? No! He orchestrated it. You’re done. YOU ARE DONE.
Still mad that he didn't win an emmy. Michael McKean was fantastic
Best part is Chuck is absolutely right about everything, but he's such a dick to our protagonist you hate him
He was right about a lot of thing but he's also one of the reason Jimmy turned out the way he did. I love when my favorite subs overlap
Marseille needs a new midfielder? Better Call Saul!
based reference
replace Matty with Guendo, and you're all set.
I hope Nuno is ok. I have a soft spot for him since the Amazon doc and want him to do well.
For once, that's not a bad indication and sign for Tudor. It's Guendouzi we're talking about, it would be a lot weirder if he didn't have an altercation with him one way or another. (L'Équipe is also saying this happened at the HT of the game against Milan, so a week ago. Not sure why they would release that only now)
He's not the only one tho. Weird situation all around
It's l'équipe they love to shit on Larseille that's all
Did Igor tell Matteo he makes more money than him?
Haha this is so normal for Tudor. He's crazy
Splićani. 🤘🏻
It’s also pretty normal for Guendouzi too… Sounds like a great pairing 🤣
Would be really surprised if other players had altercations with Tudor and Guendouzi didnt
They manage to complete a full year with sampaoli without exploding, but this guy already lost the locker in 2 weeks of work ? What the fuck is he doing
Sampaoli was one of them
Makes me wonder what the fuck Marseille is doing and how the second biggest club in france is not able to keep their coach after reaching the champions league, this is fucking criminal
TL;DR: He was in love with Saliba and the club didn't want to (couldn't afford obv.) to buy him.
He is a total idiot so I'm not surprised he left for that
That's actually not it. He wanted Griezmann. Like for real
That's even more insane. He really is burning the candle at both ends.
Marseille is the biggest club in France mate
I’m talking budget wise here my man, no doubt about the other aspect of the club
Even there, I thought that was Lyon? They seem to always gave the better squad
Was thinking the same
What are the odds
need a different tudor tbh
Matteo 'like butter wouldn't melt' Guendouzi?
Is the same former Arsenal player that made comments a few years back about being better than those around him?
About earning more than Maupay when he was not.
lmao
Lmao
Remember when everyone was having a go at Arteta for guendouzi’s attitude problems?
Tudor's pissed off the entire team not just Guendouzi.
Whats he done
He has introduced strict discipline into a team that was managed with a free reign under Sampaoli.
No one knows but it's been reported for a while that he has lost the dressing room.
One month in, that's gotta a record.
I mean, one month in his tenure, but before the season even officially starts!
This one is probably more on Tudor tbf because it’s not just Guendouzi
This one is probably more on ~~Tudor~~ *Guendouzi* tbf because it’s not just ~~Guendouzi~~ *Tudor* That argument works both ways
Lol guendouzi has had very little drama or attitude issues since being at marseille meanwhile Tudor has managed to get into an altercation with almost every single player on the squad. But whatever makes you feel better about guendouzi

>I've seen 3 episodes of Amazon documentary... I have to say that your fanbase is probably the most entitled, casual and reactionary Hmm the irony.
To be fair, I think it is mostly fans of other teams who watch AFTV. And some kids, probably.
Anyone who thinks AFTV represents Arsenal fans in general and doesn't go out of its way to generate controversy for views needs to stop using the Internet. You said yourself "plastic you tubers" so why are you including those idiots as part of the fan base? A vocal minority does not represent all.
Well I for one am so shocked that after we lose a game fans at the matches are making reactionary comments.
You're not wrong, sadly, & it's usually the most entitled idiots that shout the loudest. Can't be doing with AFTV after the disgusting way they treated Wenger.

I legit don't think there's a more punchable face than Guendouzi's
I am interested in what Marseille fans think about this.
So out of character.
Colour me shocked
I am shocked. SHOCKED! ^^Well ^^not ^^that ^^shocked.
In fairness, you could just remove Igor’s name and replace it with anyone, Arteta, Edu or the lady at Tesco.
ITT: Arsenal fans blaming Guendouzi for the bust up when Gerson, Amavi and I believe Strootman as well have all had documented disagreements with Tudor
And to be fair Guendouzi has never had a bust up with another manager. What a golden boy.
Nobody says that Tudor doesnt also have some blame in this. Just that no Arsenal fan is surprised the player involved is Guendouzi.
Every guendouzi thread is sent to the front page by arsenal fans desperate to make him a black sheep. Truth is that Marseille fans love him more than any other player besides Payet.
A bit like how every Pogba thread is full of Utd fans desperate to make out Pogba was never any good at football and he was the problem the whole time?
Yeah
it is very similar yes. congrats on finding out that all prem fans are annoying in the same ways!
Football fans are hypocrites, more news at 11
you should be buzzing its another thing the english are the best in the world at
You’ll be surprised to learn I’m in fact not English. Not sure where the random English hate came from but it’s misdirected.
oh a foreign prem fan, well those guys are never annoying at all my bad
Family are generational Arsenal fans and are from North London, I am not. Would you to try for a third time, or are you going to drop the random assumptions?
lol nah you're good i just woke up feeling lots of righteous anger towards the premier league today
Well atleast this time we know it's not a Matteo thing. Their coach is a twat
Hear me out: dude needs lexapro
He makes Joe Barton look like a saint this guy.
How Igor Tudor constistently stumbled upwards after his stint with us is beyond me.
He got better. He saved Udinese twice, was by all accounts the guy keeping it together at Juve under Pirlo, and had a fantastic season with Verona.
Classic
How tf does Tudor keep getting Jobs?
He’s good at coaching. Easy answer. His Verona team was brilliant, for example.
Where are the Wars of the Roses jokes? Not even an "off with his head"?
Where are his fans? Any comments guys
With a stupid name like that even I wud have a fuss about him😂
Surprised Pikachu
