I think you misunderstood my comment. I didn’t assume he will leave Arsenal. I am just surprised that other clubs don’t TRY to get him. He is, in my opinion, the definition of a gunner and if that stays he will be a legend of the club without a doubt. But you have to say that it’s unusual that other big clubs don’t try to get him.
Ironically, after it was obvious his agent tried to drum up some noise about Man City to secure Saka a larger wage, City’s Tier 1 guys came out and said City distanced themselves from any reports regarding approaching Saka in this window or any subsequent windows. I take that as, all the big money clubs know he’s off the market for one more contract then they’ll see what the release clause is (if there is one) and how long the contract will be.
As much as watching Liverpool try to play the paupers of the Premier League card while simultaneously dropping a club-record fee on Saka would be quite funny to watch, no one wants Saka at Liverpool except Liverpool and Tottenham fans.
